I had my baby here June 2015. For the most part we had a satisfactory experience. Nurses varsha, Mariah and Jenny were amazing and I would wish those nurses on anyone! So amazing and helpful, friendly, made us feel really good. My major complaint is with our anesthesiologist Laura castleberry. She was an absolute nightmare. Not only did she screw up my epidural, she dropped it down to level 3 from 11(went down 8 levels) not down to level 8 as instructed by the nurses and doctors. I specifically wanted pain management during my labor and because of her incompetence pretty much half my labor was completely natural, no pain medications… At one point she couldn’t even read the epidural box and asked my husband«can you read that, what does that number say?» Oh my god, she couldn’t even read the numbers herself! Unacceptable! Also she was very wishy washy, unclear, condescending and did not make me feel confident in her knowledge or skills. I had an unplanned c-section and I kept asking her between the delivery room and o.r. What kind of pain management will I have? All she said was«oh don’t worry the spinal block doesn’t hurt. Oh honey you’re so tired». Completely not related to my question and yes I was tired but also in dialated 10, 100% effaced pain so help me! I felt like she just wouldn’t work at an urgent pace to help me! In the o.r. She asked my husband if he wanted to see our baby come out. He specifically said no and she lowered the curtain anyways. Needless to say he got an eyeful of more than he ever wanted to see. The cherry on top of the whole nightmare experience with her was in the recovery room she decided to organize her paperwork on my limp, numb legs on the stretcher. She made her pikes and organized on my body! So unprofessional and even the other doctors were making comments about her unprofessional demeanor. God help any one who gets stuck with her! Do not allow her to work with you. Demand a different anesthesiologist.

This place is horrible nobody cares about the patients, we waited in their observation rooms for 5 hours and they’ve almost never checked on the patient unless I had to bring attention to it. They would let their patients die in their rooms for all they cared this is an absolutely horrid place. No real care whatsoever

After the care we had at Providence, this place is superb. They gave her fluids right away when we got into the ER(took over 12 hours to get them at Providence) & the dr has been in twice just within the last 2 hours to check up on my mom. The ER is quite loud(but that’s to be expected since it is an ER) but the nurses don’t try to be as quiet as they can(closing doors, drawers, etc), which is why it’s only getting 4 stars. Overall I’m impressed by the care my mom is getting here, especially since the last hospital we went to was such poor service. It’s unfortunate we have to be here, but I would chose this hospital over Providence all day, every day.

From the people in registration to each doctor and nurse, each person we encountered was great! They were very considerate and told us what was happening in terms you could understand without a medical degree. Check in was quick. Facilities were clean. I’ve always gone to providence but I think my family and I will be going here instead.

We have come here twice in the last 4 years to give birth to two our children. Almost all of our nurses during the stay were superb. The facility is very nice and modern. Our stay was comfortable and pleasant and the cafeteria had good food for a hospital and very reasonably priced. Dr. Fletcher of Whitehorse Family Clinic and Nurse Varsha of the hospital are standouts.

I hate coming here. I go to the community health center next door, they unfortunately don’t do X-rays or blood work. Always when I go here at least one of the nurses rolls their eyes at me or is annoyed by my questions. Most of the nurses are nice but it appears the hospital’s hospitality training needs a major improvement! I am your customer!!! I paid for my health care that pays your salary. You do not have to kiss the ground I walk on but you at least do not have to be rude. I do not have to go here. I only have used your services because the Snohomish County Health Care office does have excellent customer service. The hospital is clean and beautiful and your poor attitude takes away from that.
