This is so far the best kabob I v had in a while. The chicken saag and masala are so amazing! The spices are so well done and it makes the whole meal fantastic! I will definitely be coming back here. The service is excellent, they are very nice people!

We ordered take out last month and while the food was as good as last time, my husband found a small piece of a red plastic drinking straw in his chicken. We’ll return because we enjoy the food, it’s close to our house, and the owner is super nice, but they need to pay closer attention to food prep and prevent things like this from happening.

Their delivery service has been really great. Friendly and quick. I think their kabobs are just ok, but the other dishes I’ve tried have been delicious. I particularly like their chicken tikka masala. Their naan is also very good. This will definitely be one of my new go-to delivery places.

Thank goodness this place opened in Arlington! There has been a serious shortage of good Indian food in the area. We had the chicken tiki masala and chicken vindaloo which were outstanding — bright, fresh, not greasy and heavy like some other places in the are that will remain nameless. The best part was the service — the young waiter was attentive, charming, and gave us rice pudding to try which was delicious! We will happily be regulars!

The veggie dish we got, Bindhi Masala which was an okra dish, was pretty good. We didn’t like the chicken curry, the curry was good but the chicken appeared to be super overcooked.

The Indian food was good, nothing spectacular. The restaurant was clean. They distinguished themselves with their attentive service. They checked on us several times.

My wife and I had planned on visiting a nearby Thai restaurant. But, we saw the sign offering Pakistani and Indian curry. So, we decided to take a look at the menu and see what they offered. We are both vegetarian. So, not all menus offer a good selection. We spotted several interesting items. So, we decided to test it. This is a small place, with just a few tables. It was mid-afternoon and we were alone dining. We chose the Saag Paneer, Paneer Kadai and a order of Naan. The service was very quick, and the staff very friendly and ultra attentive. I had the Saag Paneer, ordered extra spicy. It was served with rice. From the first bite, I was impressed. Often curries in the U.S. are thick and creamy, in my opinion too rich. But, that’s likely more appealing to the average American taste. This was brutally fresh, of perfect consistency and quite frankly delicious. It’s really the best I have ever had. I also sampled my wife’s Paneer Kadai, which was also wonderful. The Naan was prepared just right, hot and tasty. They gave us both a complementary bowl of rice custard, which added a perfect finishing touch. I would say from a authenticity, taste and quality of the meal, this experience rated among the best I have ever had. It’s not fancy. But, a hidden gem. Highly recommended!

Okey so cute little place in VA. We stopped by on a rainy day, excited for kabobs. The kabobs were mediocre to be honest. The chicken biryani was delicious but besides that I wouldn’t recommend the food here. The service though was amazing! I’m very impressed with how attentive the staff was and for a dhaba-style, it’s very clean as well!

First time for myself and my husband and had a great experience with both the food and the friendly staff. My husband and I would both come again and definitely recommend to others

Very nice food. Mostly for tandoor items. Loved the butter chicken here! Jalfreizi is a must try! Only options for bread are plain naan, onion kulcha and garlic kulcha.

Simply the best Kabob in northern VA! Very fresh, lots of meat, smoky taste and friendly staff! We came back to dine in, after our first take-out dinner from here. Mango lassi was smooth and sweet. Boneless Chicken Kabobs are about $ 11.99 each and it is filling!

After binge-watching Masters of None for about seven hours I was starting to crave Indian food real bad. Thanks to Eat 24, I was able to fulfill this craving and continue watching the show to the very end without ever putting my pants on(except for the one minute scramble to put them on before I answered the door for the delivery man). I ordered a lot, but portion sizes are humongous so I was able to feed myself for several days: + Tandoori Chicken: This is a must get here. I’ve never had such succulent and tasty tandoori chicken in my life. Also, dark meat FTW. + Butter Chicken: This is one of my favorite dishes of all time but this particular rendition fell flat. The meat as dry(even when drenched in sauce) and did not have that velvety mouth feel that I usually expect with this dish. Not very flavorful and it also gave me a tummy ache that lasted well into the weekend. + Bindhi Masala: Curried okra? Give me more! This was enjoyable but I would have preferred more spices to make the flavor pop. + Naan — Soggy, chewy, and undercooked. At least this helped me curb my carb intake for the day.

Ordered the lamb kabob plate. More than enough food for the money. Fresh ingredients, spiced just right, and served hot. Place just opened up three months ago and judging by other reviews should do well here. Friendly staff adds the final touch for a nice dinner out while on travel.

2nd time there tonight. We’re lucky to live in a neighborhood with a variety of pretty decent restaurants, but City Kabob & Curry House is a cut above most of them. This time, we had the lamb kabob, lamb rogangosh(lamb cooked perfectly, no fat) and the vegetable somosa(very light, flaky pastry dough). As before, the basmati rice is was fluffy and they give you plenty of it. Really good food, reasonably priced, clean, and a 7 minute walk from our home. What else could you ask for?

I moved to Northern Virginia 18 months ago and hadn’t found Indian food that met my high standards. I am in love with this place. The flavors are amazing and the meat of the best quality. I’ve had delivery twice and it comes quickly. The chicken korma and butter chicken are superior! I wish they had more nan options but that’s a very minor whine. I will be a regular!

If you’re looking for a fix of late night grease and have a tough stomach lining, go here! The food I ordered(chicken kadai curry and potato-cauliflower curry) was basically floating in a vat of fat. I brought it home with the(too-little) rice they packaged along with it. The food gave me an upset stomach… and I’m tough and I’ve eaten lots of Indian food in my life. The taste of the base sauce was really unimpressive… and the cooking sloppy. Talk about mediocre. I literally had to eat mint oil pills to get a night of sleep after this. Unilocal totally steered me wrong here. The place on Columbia Pike is somewhat humble with extremely limited parking. It might work better as a walk up neighborhood spot than a destination drive. The interior is very spare and has groups of men sitting around late at night eating grilled meat and greasy curry dishes. This place reminds me of a joint on the ungentrified U Street of long-ago where a Pakistani enterprise did booming business in greasy curries and naan for the cabbies who worked all night!

OMG– so delicious! We were excited after reading everyone’s reviews about getting authentic Indian food. This place hit the spot! The staff was very friendly. Everything was made fresh, so there was a little wait– but well worth it! Will come here again for sure.

The owner is friendly, food is competitively priced and is good. I ordered the Butter Chicken and it was good, but may have had just a little bit too much sauce. They have all you can eat lunch buffet which I will be trying at some point. I am going to be ordering a few more items soon and will update my review.

You would never think this restaurant has been open for just a month, as I was told by an older gentleman working there. I am assuming he was a family member of the owner or the owner himself. It seems like a neighborhood staple already and I would highly recommend. The ambiance is a hole in the wall treasure, we sat by the window and enjoyed that. The staff was friendly but no overly so. There are pictures on the menu to help you see what you’ll be getting. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and loved it. I suggest this as part of family style dining, but it’s great either way if just ordered as a personal entrée. The sauce and the flavors were incredible. My boyfriend had the boneless chicken kabob and that was great too. The chickpeas could have used a little more spice, but still tasted good as a neutral flavor. Chickpeas had a nutty taste if that helps. His entrée was more like a personal entrée as it was served with chicken, rice, chickpeas, salad and Naan bread. I tried all of his but the chicken. All was excellent. Overall, if you like ethnic food, be adventurous and go for this spot. The consistency will remain and I hope this place stays. Two thumbs up.
