Unfortunately, I just tried to walk to this store today and it is no longer there — the lady at the dry cleaners said they have closed and now it remains as an open space available for rent.

Dickey’s is my #1 coffee shop! The various espresso coffees are made genuinely well; always a smooth taste and finish. I stopped frequenting the Starbucks nearby when I discovered the promptness, quality and friendliness of Dickeys Café!

I work in Crystal City and I love this place. The Chai is THEBEST I have ever had anywhere. The people that own this amazing little place are always smiling and welcoming. Every time you walk by there is a line and to add to all this goodness, they now have a frequent visit card! Their prices are incredible, service friendly and their food and drinks yummy… why go anywhere else?

Looking for frozen custard, popcorn, baked goods or interesting coffee drinks on the go? Look no further than Dickey’s. The service is friendly & faithful and they begin prepping my iced Americano as soon as I walk in the door. I love it when a place knows your order before you even ask! Thank you for adding smiles & good cheer to every order. That’s hard to find.

If you work in Crystal City, you know this place for the genuine kindness and cheer of the owner. He always has a real smile on his face and goes out of his way to serve you(Don’t expect that from the woman that works there. She isn’t mean, but usually has her earphones in serving you without a smile). They have good coffee and an amazing chocolate chip muffin(the best I’ve had ever and I’ve had a surprisingly large amount of chocolate chip muffins in my lifetime).

Great pitstop. Nice clean place with nice peple. I can see myself here a few times a week during a hot day.

I have never had their custard, but their coffee is the absolute BEST. Friendly couple who run the place and always greet you with a smile. YUM!!!

Its good! When in the mood I’ll order a regular vanilla custard for $ 2. The wait time has died down considerably due to BRAC(Thank you Mark Center). Then again, its bad for the business owners. :( If in the area give them a try!

I take back my last comments! Dickey’s has once again stolen my heart(and my stomach!) because it seems they have fixed whatever issue their custard machine was having and it is as good as ever :)

This place is the bomb! After walking past it every day for a month, I decided I needed to try Dickey’s. It was delicious. I ordered a «dixter» which is equivalent to a blizzard from DQ. They hooked me up on toppings(I got both oreo and Reese’s and they didn’t charge extra either!) The owners were very nice, the custard is creamy and delicious and it’s only a short walk from my office. I’ll be back next time I have a craving!

Although the Korean proprietors here skimp on the toppings, their custard always delivers. But seriously, how do you mess up custard. Four stars for solid product and convenient location.

Yummy! Had a hard time finding it as I am not familiar with the area at all. You wont see signs for it on the outside; it’s INSIDE the building. Look for doors near soup nutsy(lolz)

I happen to be taking training classes in a building adjacent to Dickey’s. While running back to class, I come across frozen custard. Frozen custard? How intriguing! After reading about Yvonne R.‘s quest for custard these past few months, I honestly couldn’t help myself. Someone please answer me this: How is it possible that this custard is 98% fat free? It must be the frozen yogurt equivalent of Blue Bell.

Note to self: If you walk by a business several days per week and there’s ALWAYS at least 3 or more people waiting in line, then that’s probably a good sign they’re offering up something good worth waiting for. Dickey’s is in the main corridor of the same building with Quizno’s, Green Leaf’s, and SoHo Café.(It’s actually about a block south of where the Unilocal map on the right shows it. It’s in the building on the SE corner of 12th& Clark Street.) In the mornings, you can’t miss it because there will be a line of people waiting for coffee or frappacino. In the afternoons, you can’t miss it because there will be a line of people waiting for a busy workday treat of frozen yogurt or a smoothie or a frappacino. I don’t know about you, but even if the stuff they sell is good, I wouldn’t wait in line if the people were rude. So it should come as no surprise when you get to the counter here that the people who own and operate the place are VERY warm and friendly, and they go out of their way to make you a happy customer before you walk out the door. So if you find yourself in the north end of Crystal City for a meeting or a conference(or you work there like me), stop by and treat yourself to something refreshing and delicious at Dickey’s.
