Worst Chinese restaurant in Arlington area. We ordered shrimp with lobster sauce and an orange chicken. The chicken tasted funny and shrimp was not very fresh. An owner was very rude and their service & overall was horrible. There is no other ways describe it. I will never come back here.

Recently moved to this neighborhood and tried Don Wang for lunch. I placed my order online but they didn’t start preparing my order until after I arrived and paid for it so what was the point of ordering online? I ordered Spicy Beef with brown rice and an egg roll. The spicy beef was greasy but not spicy at all. I did find one chili pepper in the entrée but it wasn’t enough to season the dish. Very disappointing. I received yellow rice, not the brown rice I ordered so I couldn’t eat it. The only way to describe the egg roll was«awful» and I had only two bites. Perhaps some condiments — duck sauce, soy sauce, and spicy mustard would have made it edible but the only thing I was given was a spoon and a napkin. I’ve tried a couple of other Chinese restaurants in the neighborhood and they were much better and had much friendlier service so I won’t be going back to Don Wang.

Don’t eat here! I got food poisoning and when I called the owner, he was rude and defensive. This was the only meal I had today, so I know it was something with the Orange chicken. I called to let them know, so hopefully no one else would get sick. Irresponsible owners!

They have improved on their food! My favorite is the chicken teriyaki! Their hot and sour soup is a bit spicy but that makes it that much more delicious! I’m glad they’re still there and improved!

The people can come off rude but I think it’s just their nature. They give a large amount of food for their cheap prices. I like the chicken fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. Only downfall is $ 3 extra for fried rice booooo but it’s really good

Excellent food, hot and fresh. The fried rice was tasty, and the hot & sour soup was the best I’ve had. I had the Garlic Shrimp entrée, which had generous amounts of vegetables and shrimp. Ditto hubby’s Hunan Beef. It’s in an older building but very clean. We’ll be back!

Overly oily and you can’t order fried rice without getting an entire dish of it. There is better American Chinese fare around town.

Kind of rude service but I don’t think they meant to be. Food was good — I got the General T chicken and it was delicious. They give copious amounts of food and the service is fast.

I come here from time to time. They have decent chinese food. It’s not the best chinese food ever. But it sure is the best around here in Arlington. So it’s something i would settle with. Pretty good individual owned place. I usually get their mongolian beef and orange chicken.

Food is very mediocre. Typical Chinese fobby owners telling you to hurry up and buy attitude(im asian myself not trying to be racist) just being real. But most importantly the food is whatevs, panda express tastes better. 2 stars for big portions. Im straight not coming again.

This place is okay if you’re fine with being in a place that looks really sketchy, and sitting in your car for at least fifteen minutes. The food scared me when I first saw it, but it’s decent. What really got me was how unkempt and dirty it looked.

Their egg rolls SUCK ! tasted like I was eating rabbit food. If I wanted to eat grass I would go out in my yard and eat some. had twice cooked pork and there was like 4 small pieces in there, really ! Don’t eat here

Good location for college students but that’s it. They do some out of the ordinary things with their meals. This is not a good thing. There is a extra $ 3 charge for the fried rice not the plain white stuff. They put jalapenos in their Orange Chicken and it’s gross. The chicken seems old too. Over all the food offered is substandard in comparison with other places in Arlington.

For the price, this place is excellent. Went through the drive-thru(which is kind of weird because you have to drive all the way around to order, then you have to drive around the front to the other side of the place to pick up the order) last night for our first experience. The portions they give you are HUGE. No joke. 2 dinner entrees(Sesame & Orange Chicken) and an extra soup was around $ 15 – 16. Needless to say the gf and myself have leftovers to munch on today ;)

Love this place! The owners are soooo welcoming and kind, so it really gives off the«family restaurant» feeling: D I always get their Garlic Shrimp stir fry, which comes with yellow rice. It’s perfect for the winter season, because I can enjoy a steaming tasty dish while its cold outside; it doesn’t help that they ALWAYS play christmas music, and decorate the shop with poinsettias during that time of year :))) They have cheap chinese food worth the price and proportions, and the food is delicious, especially the yellow rice! Give this a place a try: D They also have a drive thru!!!

Overall, Don Wang is an okay place if you’re looking for a LOT of food. Granted, the food is doused in ingredients that make you feel bloated… But still, a LOT of food. The service is always friendly, and never too long of a wait for your order! The major thing going against Don Wang is probably that it’s surrounded by so many other good Chinese cuisine! In comparison, Don Wang doesn’t succeed completely or fail completely… Hence, 3 stars.

Firstly, my fault for even thinking about coming here. Décor: 3.5÷5 –interior is similar to an old school Wendy’s setup –i like how practically everything is self serve(napkins, chopsticks, forks, spoon, sauces) Service: 3⁄5 –standard, friendly service Food: 2.5÷5 –I went with chicken fried rice. Plus is that you get a HUGE generous amount for $ 6.36. Downside is you’ll feel like crap afterwards bc it is so damn oily.
