F & C Cleaners and Shoe Repair

I was in the area and needed keys cut for a property I had listed. It took me several tries to find this place because I was looking for a hardware store, I did not realize the Dry Cleaners cut keys! Glad they did. The keys worked and crisis was averted. They have an older machine, but plenty of the right keys needed for residential key locks. I noticed they have little boxed for dry cleaned shirts, they looked like donut boxes. That is kinda neat. All in all I got what I needed. Nothing fancy, nothing exceptional. I was in and out in about 5 minutes.

I brought pair of slingbacks in to get the elastic reinforced or replaced. I could have possibly done it myself but figured I should probably get a professional. I paid $ 30 and a week and a half later they called me and said they couldn’t do it. So I had to go pick up my unfixed shoes. I do not understand why it took so long for them to decide they couldn’t do it even after they took my money. Then they gave me a hard time giving me a refund b/​c I couldn’t prove I paid in cash. I just had a ticket but no receipt because they did not give me a receipt – just a claim ticket.
They are a dry clean business who tries to offer shoe repair but aren’t able to do more than resole shoes.
Just not worth the effort and I would recommend finding a place that specializes in shoe repair.
I ended up taking them to another place which could do it for $ 15 and have them back to me in two days.

Very good for alterations of military uniforms and speedy dry cleaning. I highly recommend them!

So happy I read the Unilocal reviews and found this place! They fixed an error made by another dry cleaners. They fixed my skirt and two heels and they did it by the date they said they would. I will definitely go back.

These folks are the best! Incredibly kind, with great service to boot. I’ve been a customer for three years, and only a major relocation would make me even remotely consider another cleaner.

A friend suggested this place many years back when i needed designer jeans hemmed like the original hem. I have been going there for all my alterations ever since. She just did an excellent job on taking in the top of an expensive and complicated dress. Price can be high, but worth it if you want the quality.

F&C Cleaners is a little hole in the wall place sandwiched between a Subway and a sketchy check cashing place (I think?) But for me it’s the most logical place to go to since it’s within walking distance of my apartment! What a treat to find out that it’s a very pleasant place to do business!
The husband and wife that own the place are very nice and helpful. They do dry cleaning, alterations, and shoe repair! The only possibly negative thing is that they send the dry cleaning out to another service so that one time when I stupidly left one of my good winter gloves in the pocket of my coat, it was impossible to track down! But that was my own fault. I can still be grumpy about it though, right?
Anyway, very reasonably priced and friendly service! And they give a discount for first time customers!
