We came on a Sunday with family from out of state to celebrate my daughter and my Birthdays, and boy were we beyond disappointed. The service was anything but… with no refills, my daughter didn’t get her drink of milk till 20 minutes into dinner, and my request for a refill of water, came as a cup of warm water, with no ice. We asked if they do the music and dancing anymore as that’s my daughters favorite part of Joe’s, and she said the crew working tonight doesn’t like to dance. I ordered raw oysters and they brought out old, dried up oysters on a platter with no ice, they were warm and smelled awful. The waitress argued with me that they were fresh, and the manager brought out a new bunch and there was a clear difference in the two. When I declined the oysters, he said I could take them to go and eat them later at home… clearly he is not someone that should be working in the seafood business. The waitress clearly didn’t want to be there, and the manager was as clueless as they come. We will not be going back.

Worst experience yet at a Joe’s Crabshack. Slower than slow service. Guy brings food out, nothing to eat with or crack crab with. Ask 3 people as they walk by, 15 minutes later no one brings anything. I get up and go ask someone by the bar, waitress comes out and hands stuff to me,” here you can take it to the table, I have to find something.” By this time food is cold, corn and potatoes not cooked all the way, cold, and the entire meal(usually enhanced by the great fire grilled flavor, which is non existent) looks to be sitting in dirty water. Took 5 people, including the manager to set up for a large party, but no one checks on the people still there. I have been to a few of these retaurants, and I would have gotten a better meal at McDonald’s.

I live close to this restaurant and now I understand why it seldom has a crowded parking lot. The loud and inappropriate music was enough to make me want to go somewhere else. It was difficult to have a conversation at the table and was the wrong kind of music for family dining. The food was pretty good but the service needs a lot of work. I won’t be back.

Had Maine lobster platter and lobster was overlooked! My wife had a redfish platter and it was over cooked also. Both were grilled so the chef must lack that skill! On the other hand, we had fried clams as an appetizer and they were excellent. Lots of wait staff but not very attentive! Floors need cleaning and space looks rough from age! Not sure I will go back as there are a lot better seafood places around for my money!

So I went to dinner last night with my parents. We had a waitress named Christina and this was the worst service! When we asked for water she gave us hot water; like not even from the soda fountain and when we asked for ice she huffed and puffed like we asked for the most difficult thing ever. Next I had tried to substitute the beer battered shrimp for something else and she practically barked at me that it’s not possible and«absolutely not, no!»; I was just asking but she scolded me reacting as if I asked for a free meal. The wholeeeee dinner was just huffing puffing and rolling her eyes it was ridiculous. The food was okay, oily and not so great but I think horrible service left a horrible taste in my mouth for dinner. Don’t bother going.

This past Sunday after it had been raining for weeks on end we decided to go to Joes and relax on the patio and let our little guy play in the sand box. We walk up to see no one sitting on the patio and go through the doors. We ask to sit on patio and the host says and I quote«Its a 45 minute wait the kitchen is backed up». I responded well thats fine we will just sit and have a few drinks while we wait we are in no hurry. But we can seat you inside but its still a wait. Needless to say the restaurant was not busy in fact I took pictures of the patio which I will upload shortly. To make matters worse when I asked what the kitchen back up has to do with us sitting down and having a drink another associate jumped in and said. Look the kitchen is backed up and we are not seating anyone there. We walked over to the bar area and let our son go outside and play and someone sat next to us. The bar counter was dirty and my wife had to ask them to scrape the food off of it. A man sat down fresh out of the Rangers game and ordered food. To our surprise it was brought to him in literally 10 min! Wait what? We cannot sit outside and enjoy the sun because the kitchen is backed up and this guy gets his food in ten minutes? The bar tender did not smile, did not talk to us I could barely get an order from him because apparently doing dishes took priority of getting us drinks. How in the heck is this place making a profit? So someone in regular clothes walk behind the counter and I ask are you the manager, He says yes and I proceed to tell him all that has happened. He now says, Well I don’t have enough servers out there so I cannot seat anyone. Wait what? The first sunny day in a month and you don’t have enough help? Hello? Your host blames the kitchen? Clearly, this place is not managed properly, Clearly they are a customer service nightmare. If you cannot get seating customers right, scheduling help right, what the hell is going to happen to the kitchen cleanliness, or the food for that matter. I have eaten at Joes in many locations in TX. This location truly sucks! The manager and quite frankly the district manager should have there heads handed to them for how this place is operated. My wife and I are disgusted by it and will not be returning. Whats saddest is our little guy really wanted to play and we truly wanted to relax. We went to another restaurant and spent 150.000, money well spent ! Reading other reviews, Joes just does not seem to care!

The slowest service ever!!! It didn’t matter if the food was somewhat decent we waited forever not only for the food, but the check, and I had to walk around and find the waitress to hand her he credit cards! It was a 2.5 hour dinner. I’ll never return due to the service.

6 coworkers and I arrived today just before noon. We had an hour for our lunch break and there were only a few customers when we arrived. After waiting for our food for 45 minutes we asked for it to be bagged up. Finally a manager came over after we started to leave to say the food would be free and that someone didn’t schedule enough workers for the day. After being there an hour we finally got our food. We had to eat it in the class we were taking. Unfortunately I didn’t not know until I got back to the office that only part of my order made it in the bag. It’s great we got our meals free but this was still very disappointing.

I recommend the calamari! SOGOOD! Not rubbery at all with great taste! The food here is amazing! I like it better than red lobster any day! Also their drinks r super strong, so beware. I also suggest u try the mahi… so yummy. I took 1 star away because it took our waitress 5 or 6 minutes to just take our drink order. However, once she did realize we were there it was excellent service.

I would give it less than 1 if I could. Service was horrible, crab cake overpowered by the seasoning, forgetful waiter. Overdone king crab couldn’t be cracked bcuz it would just keep bending. The 2nd batch was better. The fish on the platter was too thick. Also, I signed up for rewards for a free appetizer and never got an email. The highlight was the soundtrack. .the music was off the chain!

Okay, I love frozen seafood fried in old grease as much as the next guy but if you’re coming to Joe’s to get a quick beer don’t bother. At four in the afternoon the bar staff acts like it’s St. patties day in downtown Dublin. they simply cannot keep up with the demand for the old lady next to me getting a punch bowl and me a couple beers. Next time I will go to the Fina station.

Went here the other day for lunch. It was alright. Really nothing special. My cup was dirty on the outside. The strawberry lemonade really left something to be desired. The service was pretty slow for not having that many customers in at that time. They have a really weak lunch menu. Nothing good and it’s still pretty expensive for lunch. Hence the small clientele at that time. Won’t be going back for lunch on a weekday any time soon. Dinner sure.

$ 47 plus on ONE entrée and 2 drinks. NAH! First, my server seemed to be in a hurry but not sure why(she was only waiting two other tables besides my own). She stopped by once to take my order and that was the only time she actually PAUSED to hear what I had to say. Other than that, she would ask«You good over there,» in passing as if an afterthought to make sure she didn’t completely screw up her tip but she never actually stopped at my table to address me. The only other time she actually stopped at my table was to bring me my food. Other than that, everything was in passing, made me feel as if it was a burden to her to take all but 15 seconds to actually STOP at my table and ask me «how is everything» as opposed to an informal acknowledgement done in passing. I am mad that two drinks DURINGLUNCHHOURS came to $ 18 and change and my surf and surf(the southern fried shrimp and southern fried maine lobster combo that comes with a side of fries) nearly came to $ 47. I also added a side of hush puppies(a pretty generous serving of 6 or 7 hush puppies for $ 2 and change) but those hush puppies were disgusting, no flavor, and heavy on the cornmeal. Besides the corn I didn’t see much of anything else in the hush puppies. My surf and surf platter was ok. I should have stuck with the Southern Fried Maine Lobster dish by itself, even though it was the same price as the combo but I would have gotten more of the lobster bites instead of a half portion shared with the bland fried shrimp. If it wasn’t for that Old Bay spiked cream sauce to accompany the lobster bites, I would have hated this dish. It was DEFINITELY1000x better thanks to that sauce. Definitely won’t be back though. For that price, I could have enjoyed a more flavorful and pleasant dining experience at Pappadeaux instead with appetizers too.

So many choices. But I always get the crab pacific dungeness. Today I might have to try a steampot but think the Joe’s Classic steampot is what I am going to go with. The clam chowders here is wonderful too Service is always great and the waitress was wonderful

This location needs to be avoided! Service: Boyfriend and I came here for lunch and had the worst experience ever. We came in and were asked by the host if we wanted a booth or a table; we requested a table and was given the one directly in front of the entrance. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet we were given the worst seats in the house. My boyfriend asked if we could sit at a different table and the host replied, «it’s pretty much the same thing.» We ended up requesting a new seat when the waiter came to our table. Food: I ordered the Samuel Adams steam pot and my boyfriend ordered the KJ steam pot. I barely tasted any Sam Adams in my dish and it was terribly bland. It tasted like someone threw all the ingredients into a pot of water and set it on the table to serve me. The lobster was completely overcooked, which made it rubbery and dry. I have never tasted such gross lobster in my life. I was also super disappointed that the waitress never came by to offer butter with our dishes(she never came to check on us during our entire stay anyway). My boyfriend didn’t even get his mussels or scallops in his steam pot. We had to wave our waitress down several times to get his half of the pot that was missing. After that, we never saw her again until we waved her down for the check. My boyfriend said his food was a major disappointment and neither of us were full after finishing our meals. Overall, the service is terrible and the food tastes like nothing. Huge mistake coming here, and a major waste of $ 60 that I wish I didn’t spend. Nobody greeted or thanked us for coming the entire time. The waiters will never check on your table and spend their shifts in the back and talking with one another. Trust me, there’s plenty of other seafood places in DFW that taste wayyyy better and will provide you with better service than Joe’s Crab Shack. We’re never coming back here!

This was our first time at Joe’s and it was delicious. We had the Orleans pot, fresh crawfish, and a steak. Everything was tasty! The crawfish was SPICY and yummy. It got a little hot for my 6 year old but a glass of milk cooled him off and he kept going. The coconut shrimp are great too. Hope to go back soon! P. S. — the waiters might do a surprise dance if you stay long enough :)
