We eat here anytine we are in Manchester, Vermont. This place was first recommended to us by a local inkeeper. The décor is a little outdated but still a nice clean restaurant. Reservations are a must here because in the summer it fills up fast. Bread is delicious and the maple glazed Salmon is excellent.

We recently hosted our son’s and his new wife’s rehearsal dinner at Jonathan’s table. There are no words to describe our experience. From the initial planning to dinner was really amazing. The owners John and Val truly have a special place. The menu was awesome, the service superb and price very reasonable. Our guests could not say enough how good the food and service was. I had the rib and can say I have never had better! The weekend before we stopped in to finalize plans and had the Veal Jonathan– the Sherry and cream sauce was so good I want to put it in a glass and drink it! John and Val themselves are so special too, so welcoming and pay attention to every detail to make your experience special!

This is a gem of a restaurant. As good as some Michelin starred restaurants I’ve been too for much more reasonable prices. The food is fantastic. The bread is to die for. A real gem. You will not be disappointed.

The owner at the sugar shack recommended this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. It was extremely clean which we loved! Super cute atmosphere! Great twinkle lights! We had the prime rib, and the veal Parmesan. Both were very good. We would return! Great little find in Vermont!

A nice, local place to get dinner in Arlington. The place is quite small and an full up so I recommend making reservations. Food is good, but can be a little pricey.

Friendly service in a quaint intimate atmosphere. The prices are fair with good size portions. Onion soup was good but not the best and the Veal Jonathon was well prepared but the sauce was bland. Wife’s prime rib was excellent

Our innkeeper recommended this restaurant and I am so glad he did. The food is outstanding, the selection varied, and the service we received was top notch. It is «hidden» alongside the highway and you really need to know what you are looking for to locate it. However, rest assured you will appreciate it once you find it. It reminds me of a knotty pine cabin and the service tends to be homey in that they are not fancy. However, the food is wonderful and the pricing is not out of line. We felt very welcome and the food was all very good. I recommend this restaurant very highly for both variety in food and quality of offerings.

Doris L is right on. This place is terrible. I’m befuddled by the reviews on TripAdvisor and on here. However, this is a crowded place with many repeat visitors — so obviously, people genuinely like it. However, we did not. The food was terrible — my husband’s steak was basically inedible and nothing but gristle. The décor is beyond country kitsch, not in a good way. They pump muzac throughout — we heard Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, etc. The wine was terrible(cheap national grocery store options). I can’t adequately communicate how much we disliked this place. It was just. Terrible.

Fresh bread was hot from the oven. I had the scallops in sherry butter sauce with home made rice pilaf, delicious. Husband had the surf and turf, 6oz lobster tail with 8oz filet, very good. Daughter had cheeseburger. Hard to find at first so look for the Sugar Shack, Jonathon’s is behind it.

Easy to miss but hard to forget. Look for the«Sugar Shack» … Jonathon’s Table is «tucked in» right behind it. Actual address(?), 118 Sugar Shack Lane, worked on my gps. Wonderful menu and several specials will satisfy all tastes. My shrimp scampi special was outstanding and it was obvious that my wife, mainlaw & painlaw loved their dinners, as well. Several great dessert choices, also. Only«complaint» had to do with the portion size/price ratio. For the 4 of us, including tax but not the tip, it ended up on the low end of the«$$$»(Spendy) range but that included 2 desserts &3 domestic beers … and none of us left hungry, so ??? We were the only occupied table @ 5PM(opening time) but it was ½ — ¾ full when we left @ ~6PM. Its not very large so I’d suggest reservations. Not exactly local for us but well worth the ride. We’ll be back.

To call the décor«dated» is very pessimistic. In fact, this place is more quaint and rustic, and for-real country, not for-vacationing-New-Yorkers country. The food is pretty fantastic and the staff are super friendly. There’s really nothing to complain about.

Near-perfect dining in a quaint little restaurant… THEUP-SIDE: The food here is outstanding. You will not be disappointed. THEDOWN-SIDE: The service is good, but can be a little slow at times. Also, the sign by the road is small and easy to miss. Keep your eyes peeled! THESUM-IT-UP: If you are in the area, this place is a must-visit. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is nice. Stop in and take a seat at Jonathon’s Table!
