I reckon this here’s a nice coaster, yep. This mid-sized woodie sits at the far edge of SFOT property, alongside a lake that isolates it from the rest of the park. You can expect little or no wait, and re-rides are certainly possible. When I rode on a weekday in early June, it was a walk-up(no line). Although ‘Judge’ only stands 71ft in height and tops out at 53mph, it’s a great warm-up for the bigger rides like Titan and Mr Freeze. A little bumpy, sure, but that’s to be expected of a wooden coaster built in the early 80’s. The coaster’s out-and-back layout takes a pleasant jog along the lake and includes a modest amount of airtime. My biggest criticism is that the entrance to the queue is sequestered in the park’s southeast corner and is difficult to find. Being tucked away like this – coupled with the ride’s tamer nature – also contributes to short waits times. Good ride for kids, families, and coaster junkies alike.
