Kids N’play Learning Center

We’ve been taking our kids to Kids N Play for 5 months and have nothing but positive things to say. My kids are happy, clean, rested, and well fed. The teachers are consistent and kind. My older son has learned so much in such a short time. Being a teacher, I appreciate the involved curriculum they use. I truly believe this daycare will help prepare my kids for school. The building isn’t brand new, but they keep it clean and constantly change out the bulletin boards and update the walls to match the current curriculum. They communicate well with families and are fairly priced. Their policies are in line with other daycare centers. I would highly recommend this daycare and I would totally disregard the 1 star review, her complaints would have occurred at any center she took her kids to. Expecting that a business could work with you on payments is unrealistic. And I don’t want someone’s kids at daycare if they are sick and going to infect others.

I’ve been bringing my son here for a little while now and so far so good! The teachers have been nothing but nice to me and my son, and I trust them completely. They along with the director, communicate well and I’ve had no surprises. My son is always in a good mood when I pick him up. The facility itself is good, but no frills really. I’ve seen a few nicer daycare centers, but I’ve also seen a lot of WAY worse daycare centers. So I would say Kids N Play is above average as far as the building and classrooms go. Pricing is very reasonable, probably one of the better values in the area.
I used to work for a different daycare, so I understand a little bit about normal procedures and everything at Kids N Play is very typical as far as children having to stay home for being sick, when and how you pay, etc. I’m not on DSHS, so I cannot speak to that. (No offense to her, but the complaints from another reviewer are actually all spelled out clearly in the handbook that is given to parents, so I don’t know why she was surprised by any of it… but it also looks like she exclusively gives 1 star reviews to businesses… so I guess, consider the source).

I was very happy at first with this daycare, however overtime it became just like all the other large centers. Too many kids and we never saw the same kid consistently. If my child had diarrhea I would have to pick him up because apparently they don’t accept that but yet I still had to pay for daycare even though he wasn’t there. I even went and got a doctors note and they still wouldn’t accept that. Usually you have to do something to deserve to get paid, like do the work. Moreover, they reported me to DSHS for fraud which was completely untrue. At the end we had some financial issues and tried to make arrangements with them which they refused. Next thing I know they are starting legal proceedings. Apparently the people that own this daycare are not real people and have never had real life problems.
