I had the worst experience today. I opened a new account at Loft in order to take advantage of the 20% off for the day. After I paid for my purchase I went to Ann Taylor(right across from Loft) in order to purchase a sweater for my mom. I went to pay for the sweater with my new account(again in order to take advantage of the additional 20% off) when the manager of the store said they could not find my account. I was baffled. I had given her all of the paperwork that I was just given at Loft that pertained to the new account. She asked me for my social a good 3 – 5 times and not just the last four but the ENTIRE social. The first few times I just let it go but after waiting 15 minutes a long line of customers had formed and they could easily hear my private information. In this day and age when identity theft is such a big problem I did not feel it was right for me to give out my social more than 3 times. Had the manager had an iota of common sense she would have asked me to write it down and refer to it when she needed it not ask me to give it to her 3 – 5 times. After 20 minutes she still could not locate my account. After I noticed she wrote another woman’s credit card information on my paperwork I became infuriated. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I told her I no longer wanted to make the purchase and stormed out. Of course I could no longer take advantage of the 20% off but such is life– no more Ann Taylor for me. I’m done!!!

Had a great customer service experience here — not to mention the clothes selection is great. A lot of casual options and a lot of business casual options. They have really done well tailoring this store to the young profession ladies of Clarendon. The store was busy and the ladies at the register remained pleasant and flexible in order to process customers quickly especially when a few of us(including myself) had some more complicated returns to make.

This is my favorite secret Ann Taylor store. It is never too busy especially on a Friday evening. The on sale session is all the way on the left hand corner, u can always find a good deal there. I usually browse before going to the store. So I kinda know what I’m looking for. For some reason, the on sales session has lower price than online store after the discount. I can pretty much find my Ann Taylor size 2P or 4P here even at the on sales session. When I go to Ann Taylor at Pentagon city fashion center or at Tyson’s corner mall, those size are sometimes sold out. The fitting room is a nice size with a big ignitable sofa in the middle in case you shop with you mommy or boyfriend who need to sit down. For parking, I like to use the Whole Food underground free parking. The entrance is next to the Starbucks and under the Pottery Barn. I usually buy some small grocery at Whole Food after my Ann Taylor shopping, so I can get free parking.

This was one of the best shopping experiences I have had lately. Not only was the store beautiful and organized, but the entire staff was extremely friendly. One in particular, Robin, was so helpful. She really listened to what I was asking for and pulled a lot of great, versatile items. I could tell that she really wanted me to find something that was perfect for my needs, and gave me a lot of great tips about how to style items for different events. Very happy with the service, made me that much more fond of Ann Taylor — I will definitely be back

This is the worst Ann Taylor in the area. The staff is unfriendly and unaccommodating. If you want good service and a friendly staff, I suggest going to Tyson’s Corner. It is worth the 20 minute drive.

I’m an Ann Taylor connoisseur and this is by far my favorite one. They always have awesome customer service, the store is well kept, and the changing rooms aren’t full of crap just sitting around. They also seem to have better clothes than other stores, for some odd reason. Maybe stores get to choose from a secret catalog what they’re going to carry in stock? If so, these ladies(and maybe gentlemen) have great taste.
