Your run-​of-​the-​mill community center in a park. There’s a little auditorium for birthday parties and other gatherings. Nothing special (i.e., no special facilities or amenities), but when you need a place to hold a kids’ party or some kind of community meeting, it fits the bill.

Alexandria, VA
This is a great venue for children’s birthday parties, especially if you don’t want 20 or so screaming, messy kids running through your home. I use this center primarily for my kids events but it would be great for wedding receptions and any adult events too. There is a spacious kitchen, clean facilities and a large wooded and shaded outdoor area. The rates are affordable and reasonable and there is a members discount. I recommend to book about 2 — 3 months in advance for weekends during the Spring, Summer and even Fall months, weekdays are usually much easier to book on short notice.
