Love this studio! One of the best studios for adult dancers to continue dance training. I travel from downtown Dallas to Arlington to take classes here because there’s nothing like it! Contemporary with Frankie is fantastic and I definitely recommend it!
Moving Canvas Dance Space has a very unique environment for dancers to begin their dance education or continue it with challenging classes as well. Teachers are encouraging and fun!

Great for all levels! From the experienced dancer, to those that haven’t danced since high school, to the beginners. I’ve taken hip hop, contemporary, and an aerial class. The teachers are all very nice. This is the ONLY actual dance studio on ClassPass in the DFW area. They also just opened up some classes for kids. Go take a class there!

I was a client of moving canvas until I started branching out to other studios. I personally felt that students that are a part of their dance team got way more attention than other students. I was also turned off by the attitude the owner had towards a new student that knocked a bar off the wall. I also had an issue with my card not being charged for 7 classes. Fortunately, they offered split payment. I can understand that they are a small business, and perhaps can’t afford to pay for their mistakes. While I was paying for the mistake they had made, the owner spoke very poorly about the ex employee that had messed up charging the card, which I didn’t really care to hear about private business issues as a client. Especially because it went unnoticed for 7 weeks, I felt like it was petty to blame a former employee, rather than just apologizing for the mess up and leaving it at that.
I really enjoyed learning under Kary, she is extremely professional and gives equal attention to all students. Alex is a great teacher, but I felt she spent a little too much time on her phone or chatting with students she had a more established relationship with. While the owner is a great teacher, I just felt uncomfortable with her attitude and personally felt like it was a very gossipy and unprofessional environment.
This is a safe studio, with great teachers, I just think they should work on creating a more professional experience for their students.

I jumped on the chance to do aerial yoga when my sister offered. I’ve never done it before and had always been interested. This was one of my most fun yoga experiences. Had an awesome friendly instructor that explains the steps and positions well. This little boutique studio is too cute with great taste in décor. Mats were provided. Class was $ 20 per person without membership.

I’m so happy that I found a dance studio so close to where I live, and the prices are reasonable too! I take hip-​hop on Wednesdays, and it’s only $ 15 for UTA students ($ 20 for the public), for 1.5 hours!

I love this place. As a 32 yr old New Mom who used to dance, I was looking for a stare-​free space to get back in the saddle. 3 weeks later I’m up to 2 classes every Wednesday.

AMAZING! Dance instructor Cassie was GREAT! This was my first time. I actually introduced this same studio to my friend and then she invited me. I work out in the mornings but wanted something different to do, just to shock my body. Ms. Cassie even catered to me being pregnant! The girl has skills, ok. Very nice experience. Give it a try! $ 20 per class. I would definitely do the membership if you plan on going a lot because it gets pricey paying for each class.

Poorly managed. Staff turnover is apparently pretty quick considering every time I look at the schedule it is different and classes I like are always gone. Must not have a lot of customers or they don’t give enough time for class to grow. Price went up, too. And the private lesson policy is unnecessary and ridiculous. If you sign up for class and no one else shows up, you now owe $ 50 instead of $ 20 just because others didn’t come to class. You’re punished for their lack of customers… The owner is pretty rude and gossips/​bad mouths a LOT. Seems petty and immature. Choreography isn’t that great for some of the classes and most classes start late or are spent talking instead of dancing. Office staff is very negative and rude and the lady at the desk gossips too. It seems like a very immature and poorly run business. It’s a shame because the type of adult studio is needed in this area of Dallas Fort Worth. It seemed to have promise, but oh well.

The studio is great, and the classes were fun, but gypsy, though a great teacher, does not know how to run a business. my boyfriend and i tried to cancel our membership due to having to leave the state. i was charged 70 dollars and completed out the month and that was the end of the contract. the next month i got charged 70 dollars. called her and told her to cancel payment please. this month i get another 70 dollar charge. because i filed a stop payment and disputed the payment of 70 dollars, gypsy proceeded to call me and yell at me for 20 minutes. She would not stop yelling or let me speak. I had to ask her to please calm down many times. She had made me feel unsafe. She was extremely angry and hostile. this is after she got 140 of my dollars without me ever showing up. She’s a really horrible business manger. She did get me my refund and maybe I just caught her on a bad day. Still no excuse to scream at people. She did look like she was an excellent dance teacher though. I only took the hip hop class which was fun, but the teacher was rather shy.

A great place for adults of all ages and experience. Great music to dance to, encouraging patient teachers, and beautiful choreography.
The staff is very up to date on what’s new & happening in the dance world, (check out the hip-​hop classes if you don’t believe me), but there are some throw-​back moves & ‘old school’ music to jam to as well, which I love!
The silks class is a must! The instructor is very educated & you learn in a safe environment. It will work muscles you never knew you had. It is blast!
Lastly, the owner, Gypsy, is fabulous. She’s got a resume a mile long and you can see why people seek her out just from taking one class! She’s super easy going & her passion shines through. Her dedication to dance, expression of musicality, and teaching makes her a stand-​out instructor in TX.
If you’re an adult professional dancer, haven’t danced since H.S., or have two left feet but want to knock dance off your bucket list, check this place out! There is something for everyone!

I was never a dancer, but always wanted to be! I spent years looking for a local, affordable adult beginner ballet class because I thought it would be the perfect way to get in a weekly workout as a girl who hates to «work out». A friend told me about Moving Canvas Dance Space and I signed up for the first class my schedule allowed for — which happened to be aerial silks. I felt right at home when I walked in, and everyone was really nice. The teachers and the other students took the time to learn my name, and as the only first-​timer in the class I didn’t feel like I was holding anyone back or that I was too far behind. The more advanced students sort of did their own thing, but also helped me out when I needed it. It was fun to have them in there as motivation to keep going, too! Kathryn is a great and fun teacher, and I can’t wait to go back next week. I’m pretty sure if I keep taking this class, I’ll have Hulk arms in a matter of months. I also signed up to take another class this weekend because I don’t want to wait a whole week to go back! I highly suggest this studio for beginners like me, and I think more skilled dancers can also appreciate what Moving Canvas Dance Space has to offer.

As an adult looking to get back into dance class after a few years away, I’m super stoked Moving Canvas opened. It’s difficult to find a studio that caters to actual grown people.
I’ve take ballet, contemporary and an introduction to aerial classes and I’ve loved them all. After five years away from dance, I was a little out of shape, but I’m getting plenty of one on one help and slowly the dancer in me is coming back out.
The facility itself is gorgeous and the instructors are awesome. Don’t feel like you’ll be intimidated if you’re new to dance or haven’t taken class in years.

I haven’t danced in almost 8 years & was scared to get back into so old. This is a great place for people getting back into dance or just starting. The teachers are great & know their stuff!

There aren’t enough stars to rate this place what it deserves! After a 4 year hiatus from Dance, this is the kick I needed to get back to what I love! All of my old friends and teachers all in one place gives me such a sense of fulfillment… Like we’re all back where we belong :)
The instruction here is beyond what you’ll find anywhere else!
Try the Aerial Silk class… You’ll be hooked! (Pun intended)
