I am a Physician and as I can’t treat family members I take my father to see her. We have been seeing Dr. Tahira for more than two years. I can safely say that despite the fact that I am sure she knows her medicine well and she is experienced, unfortunately she lacks any kind of bed side manner. She is always late. We are always 30 minutes in before our appointment but we always have to wait anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour to go in and see her. She is always in a hurry to end the visit in under 10 minutes. She even avoids and dismisses certain complaints that will extend the visit time and her answer to everything is lets do a CT. I would not recommend her to anyone I know.

Love. Her. I, like a couple of others here, went to her several years ago because I was having a true emergency that didn’t necessarily warrant going to the ER, but I needed a doctor. Mine wouldn’t see me, and no one within a 5 mile radius was available except her. In hindsight, she probably did not have time, but she made the time for me, a new, unknown patient. She talked to me almost like a mother and I began to cry. Not only did she take care of my problem, she took care of my soul. At first glance, the office is somewhat old, but do not be dissuaded by that. It’s very clean and I have never been able to be so open with a doctor before.

I found Dr. Tahira on Zocdoc and went to see her because she has appointment slots available when my primary physician didn’t have any available. Dr. Tahira is very nice and took her time with me. However many months after i went to see her, I got a bill from the office saying that I owe $ 10 in the«amount due» when I’ve paid my co-pay at the time of the visit. So today when I called the number listed on the bill, a rude lady who didn’t even answer the phone properly(didn’t introduce herself or represent the office) but merely utter«Hello?!» asked me if I’ve paid. I told her I did to which she responded they have no record of it. That’s not the patient’s responsibility for their poor record keeping! I went to see Dr. Tahira late Aug of 2011, the bill I got has a statement date of 4÷14÷2012! That is totally unacceptable.(since I don’t even have the same insurance company since my visit) When I told rude billing lady that I do have a record of my payment, all of a sudden she said, «it’s ok» then, i applied this to you account. So what if I had paid cash?! Then there would’ve been no record of it?! When I questioned her, the rude billing lady actually hung up on me. I mean, wow, so much for professionalism in that office. I will never recommend such a poorly managed doctor’s office to anyone I know, to save them the hassle of what I had just went through.

I agree with Celia… Love her! Very good«bedside manners» and progressive.

She’s the first doctor in the area I’ve felt comfortable with. She’s a very knowledgeable, thorough, and professional and not overly personal. If I ever need an appointment in a pinch her staff always manages to find a place for me to come in. The office building she’s in is a little old but her office is well maintained. They also play movies in the waiting room which is a lot more entertaining than flipping through a germy magazine.
