Ordered pizza at 6pm. It came 45 minutes later but looked like it had been dropped and wasn’t edible. Called within 5 minutes of receiving the pizza and am still waiting on the replacement at 735pm.

Got a large thin crust pizza last week and it had no tomato sauce on it when we got home. The boneless wings were fried to the point of being tree bark. Then they just poured garlic butter over them. Quality at this location is non-existent. Walked in and ordered pizza, they said it would take about 20 minutes. Forty minutes later I finally got my pizza from them. Observed kitchen and prep staff going through the motions of making the items. This area is a bit underserved on food service outlets but spend a few extra minutes and go to another pizza joint where they actually care about your business and produce a good product. This place is off our list forever.

The Sermon on the Hut: The Parable of the Pizza. On a daily routine I eat oatmeal for breakfast, a sandwich or salad for lunch, and dinner varies from casseroles to rice and vegetables with perhaps chicken chunks or something of that sort. These meals are nothing exciting when eaten, but they sustain me and give me the energy to accomplsh my daily tasks. They do not give me a burstful feeling of healthiness, but rather a consistancy of normality at its best. On one recent day I helped someone move and they ordered pizza from Pizza Hut as a gesture of thanks for my help. I admit I was excited. The idea of this guilty pleasure of cooked pork on a bed of steaming cheese and warm marinara sauce made my mouth salivate. A small voice inside warned me to not dwell too long on its appealing appearance or even the luring smell and tastes of this creation of man. But I, like Esau of old, was hungry from my labors and ignored good judgement to please my wants of the ‘now’ rather than to heed to my conscience’s warning of past experiences. In spite of warning, I did eat, and enjoyed every moment of this lustful experience. Going back for another slice and then another, even unto three slices did I partake. Then took no thought for the morrow. Tired from a day that started at 5:30am and ended at 11:00pm it took me little time to fall asleep– for I was in need of rest. But like a thief in the night(at 3:49am) was I awakened with tempests and storms from within. The quaking from my bowels did remind me of my sin the night before. I had made my choice and the consequence did follow. With agony, deprived from sleep, and in pain from the poisonous ingredients, I endured the purging of the filth all the time thinking singularly of my bad choice and regret. In life we make choices. Oftentimes we routinely make good choices, almost to no merit or percievable reward. Even to the point of wondering«is it worth it?» «Is my eating healthy, or withstanding temptations paying off?» «Would I be just as good or even have a more enjoyable time if I were to succomb to the sirens call of taste?» But like those sailors of old, all the many times they made right decisions on navigating their ships on correct paths– it only takes one mistake to deviate and destroy the vessel. And so it is with Pizza Hut. Also, the delivery guy only brought one 2-liter of pop, we ordered two.

Service — Delivery Food — 3 Stars Ontime Delivery — 4 Stars Pizza delivery, where would we be without you to fill in when we’re too tired to cook, and too lazy to go out to eat? Everyone knows Christopher Columbus came to the America not looking for the Indies, but to deliver pizza to the American Indians. From that historic beginning, Pizza delivery has been one of the primary movers behind the Industrial Revolution. Henry Ford invented automobiles just to make Pizza delivery more easily available to Americans. In fact, it wasn’t until the widespread availability of home delivery that America invented the suburbs. But I digress with my history lesson. PIzza Hut has been advertising any pizza, any size, any crust, any toppings for $ 10, so being a mindless slave to TV advertising, I hypnotically went to my phone to dial up a pizza. Imagine my dilemma when faced with so many options? I should have worked it out on paper in advance, but under the pressure of any insistent and perky voice demanding what I wanted, I managed to order a large thin crust with sausage, beef, black olives and mushrooms. How much was this concoction? Just $ 10 bucks. There is a caveat — delivery charges and taxes make my total $ 13.60! That seems high to me. However, once committed I did not shirk, but set my timer for 30 minutes. At exactly 29 minutes and 36 seconds later, the doorbell rang. Second caveat — thin crust pizzas don’t stay warm long. When it arrived my pizza was just still warm enough to eat without reheating. The crust was crunchy and tasted good. However, there wasn’t quite enough sauce or cheese to keep it from being a bit dry. The toppings were generous enough, just needed more sauce. Perhaps that’s the nature of thin crust pizzas. I know that thin crusts are healthier, but then who eats pizza for their health? My wife and I were satisfied with quality and the delivery. It may not rate a 5 star or even a 4 star, but it beats Mr. Jims and Domino’s in our opinion, but its not as good as Papa Johns in the major chain delivery competition. Comment is invited.
