Popeye’s Fried Chicken

The young man who took my order was not kidding when he told me to go through the drive thru again. Apparently, he did not get my order when he clearly told me the total and to proceed to the 2^nd window to pay. I rather starve than play this little game so you can bet that I drove my hungry ass else where! never coming back!

If it would have been possible, I would have given zero stars. Popeye’s is nothing like it used to be years ago. Years ago, you would get the crispy part and a lot of chicken. Now, the chicken is mostly crust with only a thimble amount of meat. Greasy doesn’t even begin to describe it. Tonight, we tried the new Popeye’s in Kennedale. I’ll just say this, I am still hungry because again, most of what I attempted to eat was crust. I ordered the surf and turf. Don’t let the cutesy name fool you. The shrimp is miniature size with mostly crust, and so were the chicken tenders. In fact, one piece was ALL crust. They both were lukewarm and not done as well as they should’ve been. I feel all I ate was carbs, and I’m still hungry. If you want fried chicken, you’re better off frying it yourself. I will NEVER go to another Popeye’s again as long as I live. By the way, it wasn’t just at this location the food has been this gosh awful. The other locations in Arlington are just as bad. Never again will I pull into the parking lot of this establishment. P. Awesome around lunch time but the night crew has never been good at this location. They always forget biscuits, dipping sauces, extra chicken etc. If you go to this location at night I suggest NOT going through the drive thru so that you can check your order before leaving.

I have an issue with Popeye’s the fired chicken is great very tasty chicken some of the best in town. My problem is the customer service. Popeye’s has the worst customer service in town. And I have been to different Popeye’s stores and they have consistently bad service. I have walked out of a few due to the service. They need a complete over haul from corporate on what is good customer service.
I notice that the business level at Popeye’s have dropped off when you drive buy or go in they do not have a crowd. I blame the management I don’t think they care. I see them going out of business if they don’t turn it around. And it will be a shame because they have good chicken.

Well my olé pappy always told me that if I didn’t have anything nice to say then keep my trap shut.

Food is decent, service is horrible! I’ve been two times and both employees I interacted with were extremely rude. You’re better off finding a different location, because this one is terrible!

Worst experience EVER! First of all, it was along day and all we wanted was something fast and decent as far as fast food goes. When we finally get to order, this restaurant was out of CHICKEN!!! Said we’d have to wait 10 – 15 mins for 4 pieces of CHICKEN. You do realize they specialize in CHICKEN. We went ahead and ordered and asked for sweet ice tea… they were out of that and sprite, and coke, not to mention regular tea. Once we get to the window the girl was rude, we asked for a manager, of course she said she was and proceeded to YELL at us. Wait… it gets better… we called the 800 customer service number… I hope your laughing at this at least a little. When we got through he customer service agent was rude, even said she understood the ENGLISH I WAS SPEAKING!!! So my Unilocal friends, please for the love of all that’s holly STAY AWAY FROM POPEYES!!!

I do enjoy their prices as you can get a lot of food for little money. Unfortunately, the service is really spotty. Also make sure you ask for utensils and napkins or they won’t give you any. Even so, I give this place 4 stars because if you speak to management they are willing to fix the problem to your satisfaction.
