I’ve received countless massages all over the world and I can honestly say that Emily Taylor is among the very best massage therapists I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. My most extraordinary story of goes all the way back to 2005. I had a severe impact injury to my left shoulder and had the good fortune of being in Boston when it happened. I was able to get a few massages from Emily during the first two weeks after the injury which I greatly credit with the complete recovery that I experienced over the next six months. Using a combination of keen perception, intuition, and a deep knowledge and understanding of anatomy, Emily helped lay the foundation that eventually lead to a full recovery. My immediate post injury range of motion had me barely able to lift my left arm over my waist and now 10 years later it is just as highly functional as the right. And I’m tough on my body. I’ve been a circus aerialist and partner acrobat since that injury and my left shoulder is virtually indistinguishable from my right. I cannot recommend anyone more highly for massage for assistance with recovery from injury. Or perhaps you just want a massage that feels amazing and leaves you with a deep feeling of relaxation and tranquillity. Emily is amazing with that as well. As I mentioned before, she is deeply intuitive and has a wonderful energy. Her massages are always unique and suited to exactly what is going on with you in the present moment. Her bearing is friendly, professional, and deeply caring. She really loves massage and connecting with and helping people. Whether you are looking to relax, heal an injury, or work with the body as a vehicle for emotional healing you could not find a better massage therapist than Emily Taylor.

I’ve been living in the Porter Square area of Somerville for a little over two years now. I’ve been to about 6 different massage therapists from various companies and locations. Where many of them have been good, only one of them have made me want to book another appointment right away. Emily Taylor is a fantastic massage therapist. She’s very knowledgeable and has a great talent in finding problem points. I have seen her three times in the last two months and I’ve already booked my fourth visit. I felt pretty great from other massage therapists in the area, but I feel fantastic when I’m done with Emily. She was able to hone in on bad spots in my shoulder’s nerve causing some numbness in my fingers, help one of my ribs go back to the right place, and almost put me to sleep when she massaged my head and neck. She doesn’t have a static routine she works through every visit. She will get everywhere you ask, but she has a talent to find out where you need it most. I remember how I felt after my very first professional massage therapy session and she makes me feel that good every time. A+++ Will schedule again! When my beloved massage therapist moved out of the area I was bereft. Tried a couple of folks but wasn’t impressed. Then I found Emily on Unilocal and — Yippeee! Intuitive great touch, calming manner, knowledge of anatomy, recommends helpful stretching exercises. I’ve seen her twice and will continue as regularly as possible. YAY Emily!

Emily’s hands are magic… and setting up an appointment is easy and chill. In addition to the beautiful studio, she even has a portable table that enabled her to come to my house for a totally reasonable extra fee. My back and shoulders had that awesome melty feeling! Thanks so much Emily!

I went in to see Emily over the summer, complaining of migraines and pain all through my neck. She did her magic and in a little more than an hour I felt better than I had in months. No more pain or migraines and for months afterward, too! That was one of the most impressive parts; that the problems didn’t resurface in a week, which I’ve had happen with previous therapists. Another really impressive thing about Emily was how much effort she puts into not just knowing the body but knowing *your* body. There were areas of muscles contributing to the migraines and neck pain that I had never thought of as problematic. She figured it out and once the pressure and pain was released from those areas as well the change in how I felt was ridiculous. I highly recommend Emily for anyone looking for a massage therapist who knows what she’s doing and genuinely cares for her patients.
