Never buy a car here from Rosten Auto. I was getting a car inspected by them to purchase and was told not to buy it, but to buy his 99 Durango, which I did. It was completely detailed in and out and looked awesome and I didn’t overly scrutinize the vehicle because it’s coming from a mechanic. Mechanics have inherent trust built in, because who would put their customers in harms way???
Here are some issues that I inquired about and Kevin’s answers:
* Q-​Front end is loose; A-«That’s how these trucks drive»
* Q-​Check Engine light came on; A-«Loose spark plug wire» (which he wiggled around, then reset the computer.
* He also told me that the «tires are like brand new»
When I took the car home and feeling odd about it, I took it to my trusted mechanic to look it over and here’s the two main things he said:
1) The front end is coming apart and a danger to me on the road. The upper, right ball-​joint is about to break loose and the wheel is actually rubbing on the upper control arm.
2) There’s a misfire in Cylinder 1 (Rosten Auto already addressed the spark, plugs, wires, and distributor cap), and since those have all been done, its either a burnt & sticky valve.
3) Tires were COMPLETELY worn on the inside, with one tire soon to come apart.
My mechanic said that ANY mechanic would notice those things.
I reached out to Rostens and told them the issue that they put me in a car that was dangerous to me and my family and ask if I could get $ 500 back to only replace the ball joints (half the cost) and didn’t mention the rest. I just focused on the dangerous stuff. He said that he can’t pay to have another shop work on the vehicle and to bring the car back, but I live in Seattle and couldn’t risk my life to get it to him. We agreed that he would send me the parts, which never arrived and now he won’t return my calls. Kevin said that he isn’t an used car salesman, but absolutely is.

Kevin and his team did an awesome job fixing my broken 2003 Jag. I was told nobody in Arlington works on that type of car. But I saw Rosten Automotive on Facebook and he said yes I was so happy!
He found everything that was wrong and it was in and out in 24 hrs! And less than he quoted me! It runs great now! I highly recommend!!! Very professional!!!
