Good meal and reasonably priced. Had 20oz prime rib that was cooked perfectly and they have a good selection of drinks to choose from. Server(AB) did a very nice job and would recommend this place.

Stopped by on a whim when I couldn’t decide what to eat. Glad I did. Great service and great food. Had the 12oz prime rib after the server recommended it and wow! It was awesome. Just a tad fatty, but the amazing flavor made up for the amount of fat in the cut. Only complaint… it’s a little spendy. But… I’d go back. :)

Ordered ribeye got prime rib. They replaced my medium rare with rare. Another chain restaurant that can’t get it right. Service is good and quick. Can’t give a reason to come here.

Stopped in for lunch with my hubby and was pleasantly surprised by the lunch menu! Great full size portions for a really decent price! I got the sirloin tips over mashed potatoes and my husband got the ribs. Everything was SO delicious! Amazingly flavorful, cooked really well and decent portion sizes! Cute ambiance and attentive servers. Food was super good and the service was attentive & timely so we were in and out of there with plenty of time left to sight see in the city! Great experience!

Absolutely love this restaurant and this location. Sweet butter for the warm bread and sweet tea by the gallon. Descent price and great atmosphere. Two thumbs up

The New York strip was excellent– perhaps a bit under cooked, but better that than overcooked. The garlic mashed potatoes were unimpressive, but the macaroni and cheese more than made up for it. The atmosphere was nice, very chill, but not lazy. The bartender was attentive without being annoying. He makes a great old fashioned.

Nothing fancy, but they have good food, & decent servers. I’ve never had an outstanding experience, but I’ve always been taken care of, & my food always comes out as ordered, so nothing to complain about! This is a very easy going atmosphere, & consistent in food and service quality.

They must be under new management because they have REALLY dropped the ball. We used to dine here regularly, but the last couple of times I’ve had complaints about the food, service and errors on the bill. We will no longer be returning to this location. They have proved that they do not value the customer nor their own employees! Due to lack of communication on their part, they informed us we had $ 25 to use towards the bill because we have their card and racked up tons of points. The manager came by and said«you’re good to go» and left. When the bill came, it had not been taken off. Two managers argued with me for an error that they made, and had several excuses blaming one another including the new waitress! I returned again despite that rudeness and last night ¾ entrees were cold. My husband returned his food, but when the bill came they hadn’t removed the charge and also charged us for fried onions we didn’t even order! We ordered the fried zucchini(this too, was also on the bill ???) which came late, and the portion was so tiny that I had to ask for more, they brought back 5 more that were the size of McDonald’s fries… terrible service at this location!

After a long day at six flags we were so ready for a nice hot meal, I’ve been at saltgrass before and wanted for my son to experience it. We got here and the restaurant was packed, I asked the hostess if we could be served at some high chairs we saw near the bar and she graciously directed us to the high tables behind the bar and we did not have to wait like everyone else. Emily the bartender that was serving us did an amazing job, she did not miss a beat, even though they were as busy as they were the service was flawless, food served in a timely manner(thank. God) as I said we were starving. Food like expected was delicious! Presentation was pretty good too. I am so happy my son had a nice and enjoyable experience. Always visit the restaurant when in Texas and always will. Thanks for a great dinner!

We enjoyed our meal here tonight. We ordered the crab and avocado stack for an appetizer and it was good. I would have liked even more of the spicy sauce it sat in, but enjoyed it a lot. My young girls split the kids steak and fries and they loved the fries and ate a lot of steak. The fries were especially good. Their steak was not that good compared to the tenderloin I ordered which was fantastic. I also liked the garlic mashed potatoes –very smooth and garlicky but the seasonal veggies were a little undercooked. The tropical sangria was tasty too.

Went to go have a nice dinner and had a wonderful waiter named AB. The food was delicious and it was a great experience. Love the ribeye steaks and the ambiance. I would highly recommend to dine-in and would come back to this Texas steak house again!

We visited here on 2/6/16,soon after we arrived in Dallas, approximately 1:00pm. It wasn’t very busy and we were seated immediately. To start, they serve a warm and very soft complimentary bread with sweetened whipped butter. This is VERYYUMMY. As an appetizer, we had the Fried Mushrooms… these arrived piping hot with a side of ranch dressing, for dipping. The mushrooms were DELICIOUS, not heavy nor greasy and go quite well with the ranch. In fact, my partner is not a fan of ranch dressing(ATALL,) and he devoured this combination. To follow, we each had a cup of soup. My partner had the Baked Potato Soup & I had the Steak Soup. Both were good, but were the least impressive parts of the meal. To me, the steak soup tastes a lot like Campbell’s Barley Soup. Overall, I would order the Steak Soup again, my guy said he would try a different soup. Our main entrees consisted of the Gulf Coast Steak & Shrimp(medium) with a side of seasonal vegetables. My entrée consisted of the Silver Star Porterhouse(medium-well) with a side of garlic mash potato. My partner, says his steak was good, but the shrimp were the highlight of his meal because they were cooked to perfection and seasoned very well.(I agree since I sampled his food also.) My steak was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had, very tender and well seasoned. It was cooked exactly as I ordered it, which is rare since most places tend to char, overcook and dry out medium-well steaks. My guy favored the filet side, I favored the strip side. Our server was Brittany and she was very friendly, attentive, professional and accommodating. The server that brought our appetizers was funny, he played a minor joke on us when he arrived announcing a different dish when in fact he was bringing out the mushrooms. Made us crack up. I simply failed to get his name. We didn’t try their desserts, as we were too full to do so. I would give it a 4.5 star rating, if I could. Why not 5? Because it was our first and only visit; therefore, have not tried their other menu items nor experienced the service during a busy day. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised at the excellent quality of the food and service. The prices are reasonable. We really enjoyed this establishment, would love to return and highly recommend it to others.

Hands down one of the best steak house chains. During a recent trip to Dallas I stopped in with a couple of friends. My friend said Saltgrass was similar to Texas Roadhouse, Lonestar & Outback in the Midwest. After eating there I’d say it’s probably better than a couple of the other chains. We got to the restaurant just after 4pm so we ordered from the dinner menu. We were seated promptly and our waiter arrived shortly thereafter. He was personable, attentive and efficient. I ordered filet with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Everything was delicious. I like my steak well done and alot of restaurants burn it. This time the steak was cooked to perfection. It was well proportioned and seasoned. The potatoes and vegetables were very good too. I can’t recall exactly what all my friends ordered but I know everyone loved their food. We all had a wonderful time just laughing and talking well after we’d finished our meal. It wasn’t very crowded so no one was anxious to have the table free. I’d definitely recommend Saltgrass and/or visit again.

We spent the last several days in Arlington and ended up eating here twice because we enjoyed our first dinner so much. Delicious food and great service. Our table had rib eye, sirloin, salmon, surf & turf with Bbq bacon wrapped shrimp, wedge salad, Cesar salad, macaroni, loaded baked potatoes & dessert. The rib eye was cut a little bit thin for my preference, but the flavor was tremendous! Sirloin was a thicker cut and very tender. You cannot go wrong with the Brownie over the skillet cookie dessert. It’s ooey gooey delicious. The chocolate cake is moist and decadent and the best I’ve had. I wish we had this restaurant in Oregon.

They have a to go charge! Seriously I have to walk in get the food myself. I could understand if they were performing a legitimate service where they brought it to my car or something else but I literally just paid a to go charge which I was not informed of in advance to have my salad put in a box. The salad is fine I love their steaks but… I just can’t believe a to go charge

This place is always packed so we usually leave and go to Rio Mambo. With so many people standing in line to get a table I guess it’s pretty good.

Ok, it’s a chain. And as much as the locals might groan about it, it’s pretty good. We really liked this place! The service was friendly, the food was great(we almost filled up on the bread beforehand!) and my baked potato may have been the best I’ve ever had. We were looking for an somewhat inexpensive, but authentic Texas experience, and we got it!

Last time I ate at Saltgrass was either Mother’s or Father’s Day 2005; but, it still consistently serves up a good basic meal. I no longer eat red or white meats but I found the Avocado Crabmeat Tower rather tasty. Those at the table seemed equally pleased with their dishes; at least I heard no complaints and the food disappeared from their plates!
