I was referred to Dr. Sanz by my regular gyno for suspected endometriosis. I had already had trouble finding a doctor willing to help with my pain so I was desperate by the time I arrived at Dr. Sanz’s. He made me feel comfortable and truly listened to what I had to say. He immediately recommended a laparoscopy, which is what I was hoping to hear for the endometriosis and I had surgery within days. He likes what he does and definitely wants to help his patients. He made my mom feel comfortable and informed in appointments and after I came out of surgery, which makes him even more respectable. There was a med student present during my appointments and surgery and he tended to talk down to her and scold her. It made me slightly uncomfortable but he was constantly pleasant and attentive towards me, as the patient. He came to see me before surgery and helped me stay calm and talked about the procedure. I cannot say how happy I am to have found Dr. Sanz.

I went to Dr. Sanz based off of my RE’s recommendation to have a hysteroscopy. I had the surgery and everything went smoothly. Dr. Sanz and his staff make themselves available to me and call back quickly when I leave messages. I also like that Dr. Sanz communicates with the other doctors I am seeing to make sure everyone is in agreement with my treatment and test results. He actually found a mistake in the results from the radiologist and worked back with the doctor to make the addendum. Like most experienced surgeons, Dr. Sanz has an ego but I find him to be genuine and entertaining. I can tell he enjoys what he does and is good at it. He seems to like teaching residents as they are always with him in office and in surgery. I recommend him based on my experience.

While Dr. Sanz came highly recommended by my RE and OBGYN he did not successfully resect my uterine septum. He performed a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. At my post-op appointment he said I didn’t need any follow-up imaging and I knew that was a bad sign. Therefore, I pursued an appointment with a RE and she performed a saline sonogram and it turns out something just wasn’t right. I flew down to Florida to meet a highly respected doctor with extensive experience with mullerian anomalies and a wide septum dividing two thirds of my uterus was found. Clearly, Dr. Sanz didn’t resect my septum during the surgery! It was an utter failure and a waste of my time and my insurance’s money. He’s also very difficult to talk to and I had horrible experiences with his nursing staff. I cannot recommend him based on my experience.

As a new patient, I was very nervous and the 45 minute wait did not help. However, as cliché as it sounds, Dr. Sanz was worth the wait. He immediately made me feel at ease and exhibited a knowledgeable and professional demeanor. I highly recommend him.
