Serenity Dental Spa

This dentistry opened up a few months ago near our house. My wife and I decided to go here as it was much closer than our other dentist and we were way overdue for a visit. The office is in the Kroger shopping center and is very clean inside. Each room is brightly lit and the equipment appears to be totally new. You stand up for a xray scan as the machine goes around your head — quick and easy. We had our teeth cleaned and it was quick and painless. My wife needed a root canal due to a cracked tooth and said the process was pretty much painless — she was in and out and did not need pain killers after the process. I had a more difficult cracked tooth and it had to be extracted. Dr. James loaded the area with painkiller and then I sat for about 20 minutes for the drugs to do their full effect. The extraction wasn’t easy, but I was kept appraised of what was going on and at no time did I feel any pain. In fact, when Dr. James finished, I was surprised — I thought he still needed to pull the tooth. Afterwards, was given a packing and then told what to do for the next couple of days, prescriptions for pain and antibiotics, an ice pack for swelling and a full package of packing to use in case the wound bled after I left. I was then given written instructions covering what they had told me. I also received a new Ortho Tooth Brush, a package of floss and Crest toothpaste in a goody bag. Very nice.
I am not a fan of dentists — due to a few bad experiences, I waited way too long to go between visits. However, Serenity has changed my view. I am not afraid now and will be going for regular maintenance and cleaning on a regular basis. This old dog learned a new trick thanks to Dr. Leon James and his staff.
