After just a short phone conversation, I knew Kathy and her team were the right ones for me! She and her outstanding teammate, Paul, worked with me throughout the summer to find just the right place. After looking at a huge number of listings all over the city and NoVa, then making multiple offers in a very competitive market – we found it! Paul and Kathy stayed with me throughout and patiently, expertly advised me on the right next moves to make. Their connections and resources across the DC area markets made it easy to find a home inspector, loan agent, and anything else I might need. Bonus: I now have 2 new fabulous friends. Kathy and Paul totally rock!

We recently chose to sell our home in Northern Virginia, and after a lengthy interview process with six realtors, we chose Matt Shepard of Shepard and Fong Associates to represent us. After the interview process, it was apparent that Real Estate representation in the DC area can vary from «hobbyist soccer mom» to «serious professional» (one of our candidate firms didn’t even bother to show up for a scheduled appointment). During our initial contact with Matt, the information that he provided was clearly and professionally presented, and the process of putting the house on the market couldn’t have been more straightforward. Matt, and his office staff (kudos to Amanda!), were communicative throughout the entire process. Our schedule required us to move out of state as the sales process was starting, and Matt arranged updates/​remodeling, staging, and even arranged landscaping and maintenance during the sales process. If you are considering selling your home in the Northern Virginia/​DC area, I would encourage you to both interview multiple realtors, and to include Matt Shepard on the list of realtors you’re interviewing!

Our house was not an easy house to sell with «deferred maintenance issues» our outdated style, too much stuff etc. Matt Shepard took care of all of it. We chose Matt because of his track record and the great job he did for our neighbor in particular. This I must add was at the expense of a friend who is an excellent realtor himself, but boy did we ever make the right choice. Matt & company is a tour de force at selling Arlington houses. He has a bevy of trades people who jump when he calls and he even has an inventory of furniture and staff for staging, a skill at which he is a master. He transformed our house into a highly marketable product. Work with this team and you will get top dollar for your house and quickly. He’s funny and great to work with to boot. It’s hard to imagine a realtor who brings more to the table.

First let me say that I have had the worst luck with realtors. I don’t want to go into details — but I have to say that I have had some really terrible experiences… Until I started working with Kathy Fong. Kathy’s extreme professional nature and her ability to relate to my needs and wants is incomparable. She knows the business inside and out and knows what the right fit is. But most importantly — Her ethics are beyond reproach. She talks the talk and walks the walk. She’s my go to whenever anyone asks. When things got complicated on my last transaction she knew exactly how to handle the problem and how to relate to both parties. Kathy truely is the best of the best!
