Ordered some pizza for my office today — order was delivered accurate AND fast! Food was incredible and once it was gone there was a debate to order more but everyone was too full! If you want pizza, there is none other than Spazzio! This empty plate is all there is left !

I was in Arlington on a Friday night and needed a place nearby the hotel. It is a beautiful restaurant and very inviting. I sat at the bar and was greeted immediately by a super nice bartender. He got me all set up for dinner and helped me w a suggestion on what to order. The food was amazing!!! I sat next to some locals and had a blast! The owners are wonderful and sweet as well making this a wonderful experience. If in Arlington don’t miss out on this fabulous restaurant!

Food was quite nice. the glass covering the tables looked cheap. The piano man repeated the music. After 30 Minutes of listening to him his all songs seemed the same.

Had a craving for lasagna, so I thought I’d check out one of the Italian places in my bookmarks on Unilocal.Spazzio’s has good reviews and it was close to home, so I thought why not? I ordered the classic lasagna as my main entrée. It tasted extremely good at the beginning, probably because of my craving doing the judging, but halfway through my nomming, it got too cheesy and the pasta started to seem rubbery. Classic chicken alfredo has juicy chicken pieces but was kind of bland and had a watered down taste. The complimentary salad appetizer had fresh lettuce and tomatoes, which is excellent. Too bad I don’t really like salad haha. I only ate it until I ran out of ranch. Yes, I realize I am an unhealthy person, but I can’t help it lol. Their rolls that came out too, were crispy and sort of dry. I like rolls super soft and fluffy, like the ones at New Yorker Pizza and Pasta. Their butter is yummier over there too. I don’t believe I finished anything I ate at Spazzio’s and I hate throwing out food, but I couldn’t complete my meal, which I’m pretty sure the manager noticed because I saw him pause for a few seconds to examine my plate when he asked me if I was done eating and picked it up. In addition, we noticed that they keep their Windex on a cart which also had their cheese and pepper condiments on the cart’s shelf above the cleaner as well as to-go boxes in the cart shelf beneath the cleaner. I don’t think that’s sanitary, so I would suggest getting a second cart to separate things for food and things for maintaining the restaurant. The place looks nice though, and sophisticated. Overall, I’d say Spazzio’s is a surprisingly very affordable Italian restaurant. During lunch hours, price ranged mostly around $~10. I guess the food matches with its price. Service was excellent, but my ratings mostly go towards food, so it doesn’t give that much of an impact to where I’d bump up a star unless the service was undeniably over the top perfect. All of their waitresses are beautiful. I think it’s family owned by Italians and the ladies are gorgeous. Our waitress was quite attentive to refilling our waters as soon as it dwindled down so good job on that. On my own, I don’t think I would return here, but my brother left saying, «This place is pretty good! I’m glad we came here. We should go back sometime.» and that makes me happy that he enjoyed it, so I suppose I’ll have to return one day just for him. Maybe it’ll be better for me the second time around. We’ll just have to see.

Great food and service. I tried to go with delivery once, but it seemed too cumbersome so I decided to pick up instead.

We are semi-regulars at Spazzio’s and probably eat here about once a month. The food is a cut above the standard Italian fare in both presentation and taste. As of 9÷23÷15, they have completed their remodeling, including a new wine bar. The new décor is tasteful and just perfect. On Thursday thru Saturday nights, they have live music which really adds a nice touch to your meal. What really makes this place stand out for me are the owners: Arjeta and Ardi. They remember their customers and always seem to be present to meet new customers and greet their returning customers. You will often find them making rounds at the tables to check up on customers and visit with old friends. The food quality, ambiance and employee friendliness always makes for an enjoyable experience for us.

I may be a little partial by giving this great Northeast Arlington dine-in Italian restaurant 5 stars, because it’s .2 miles from my residence. Owned by a sweet & thoughtful couple who are bringing delicious dishes to the table. Quality and taste are there. Intimate upscale feel and modern atmosphere. Best thing is, they just got their beer and wine license and by them being under renovation currently(9÷15÷15), I’m betting they’re putting in a wine bar :)!!! Just exactly what northeast Arlington is lacking. So I would be over the moon. If so I’m crossing my fingers that they incorporate some cheese & meat boards for some wine pairings. Would be great to have a local spot to bring my girlfriends to, other then the sea of sports bars in Arlington’s «Entertainment District». The Chicken Aristocrat and Piccata are delish! The chicken parmigiana is wonderful as well with a bright red tangy marinara sauce! Totally yum :)

The owners of this establishment are insane. Went in on a Wednesday night and ordered entrees and salads. As the waiter went back to get out salads for us, one of the owners, a woman, intercepted him at the kitchen door and sent him off to make coffee for her. We were dumbfounded. To make matters worse, as we waited for him to make her coffee, so that he could, in turn, make our salads, we could hear her berating him in the kitchen, complaining that he wasn’t making the coffee correctly. A few minutes later, the waiter stormed out of the kitchen and literally quit his job on the spot. I can’t say I blamed him one bit. The other owner, the man, came out and assigned another waiter to our table. Service was slow from there, and we could still hear the insane woman ranting in the back, clearly pissed that her poor attitude, selfishness, and sheet stupidity had cost her establishment an employee. We will not be back.

I had a wonderful experience at Spazzio’s. Right when I walked through the door, I was greeted very warmly by the manager and seated immediately. She checked up during the meal once, and the other servers were very attentive and especially vigilant on keeping our waters refilled. The ambiance was romantic — dim lights, private booths, candles. My only complaint is that the booth seats were uncomfortable because they are angled up and high off the ground so that your feet are dangling, and blood circulation, cut. Maybe I’ll stick to tables next time. The lobster linguini was spectacular, except that it was missing the key ingredient — lobster! I asked the server and he brought it back to the manager. They determined that the cook had somehow forgotten to add the lobster, and remade it for me. They were all very kind about it, as I wasn’t impressed with lobster-less lobster linguini. The pasta itself was creamy and savory. The sun dried tomatoes gave it a kick that kept the plate from being overwhelmingly creamy and bland. It definitely satisfied my pasta cravings. Recommendation: Try the crème brûlée. It comes out in a nice size that was able to feed myself and 2 friends. The touch of orange in it was spectacular. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were great. I ticked off a star for the lobster-less lobster linguini and uncomfortable booths. Spazzio’s is a great place to dine for special occasions or date nights.

Spazzio’s was a Unilocal suggestion that we decided to try out. So far, we’ve been there twice and I’m very pleased. The service has always been really spot on — although I’ve never seen it particularly crowded in there. They have truly tasty, flavorful dishes. For appetizers, I recommend their calamari or mozzarella sticks. I’ve had both the vodka penne and the penne Arrabiata. both are excellent, but the Arrabiata is quite spicy(as described on the menu). My boyfriend has gotten the gnocchi Bolognese both times because he loved it so much. Their dinner salads are large but nothing special. The complimentary rolls are exactly right — flaky, crispy outside and soft, fresh inside. They are currently BYOB — the owner said they’ll probably start using their alcohol license in August — they are still in the process of building their wine menu. I absolutely love BYOB places because I know what wine I like, but even when that goes away, we’ll still go there. It’ll be a little sad because they are slightly pricey for what it is(prices of a more upscale spot), so it’ll become more of a splurge if we want a glass or two of wine with dinner. Definitely try out this place for it’s solid menu, nice ambiance, and good experience.

I remember this place being called Spago when they first came out, which seemed to me kind of silly to try to use a trademarked name from a famous chef, but I guess either they got wise or got served and at some point they became Spazzio’s. We were in the neighborhood last week and gave them a try for lunch. I think the place used to be a DoubleDaves — there are DD’s stamped in all the booths — but they’ve decorated up a bit and it’s very nice and simple upscale décor in there now. I ordered lasagna with a caesar salad. My husband had the penne arrabiata and a house salad. The house salad is a basil based viniagrette, FYI. I enjoyed my salad, it was just right. My lasagna was good, it had a sweet-ish marinara rather than a spicy marinara. I think it may have just been made with beef but not sure. The noodles were soft and probably house made. That said, I preferred the bite of my husband’s arrabiata overall as it had a lot more kick to it. Portions were just right, I was full afterwards but not exploding. The rolls were good, crusty on the outside, soft on the inside. Prices weren’t unreasonable but also probably not competitive either, making it a date-night place rather than a take-the-whole family place. I thought the lasagna here was mostly equivalent to that at my local pizzeria which is a couple bucks cheaper at lunch. Prices were about what I pay at my favorite date-night place in Fort Worth, but since both restaurants are about an equal drive from my house, I probably would continue to go to Fort Worth on date night. That said, if I’m in the area with my hubby it’s a great Italian place and I’d be happy to eat here again. If I were a local it would be regular date-night rotation, just a bit too pricey to take the family of four unless it were a special occasion.

Delicious! Visited for lunch with a friend a couple of weeks ago and just had to bring the hubs here! It was great! For apps we had the spinach artichoke dip and the eggplant medallions. Both were top notch. The spinach artichoke dip comes with buttery garlicky toast and is creamy and wonderful. The eggplant medallions, wow! Like a party in my mouth! Crunchy and rich with a beautiful marina and basil oil drizzle. For an entrée my husband had the chicken calabrese, it was creamy and spicy, served with perfect al dente spaghetti. I had the chicken fontina, penne pasta and chicken in a pink sauce with eggplant and mozzarella on top. The food was perfect. We came in on a Friday night. And they had«live» entertainment in the form of a gentleman singing old standards with an electronic keyboard. We were not really fans I’m afraid. It was a bit too loud. We would have preferred something a little more quiet. But that’s just us! That said, try Spazzio’s it’s the best Italian food I’ve had outside of my own kitchen in years!

I have traveled to a few places and tasted Italian food that has been very good… this place ranks in the top 5. The dishes read simple, but the spices and flavors rock your taste buds. Just had their penne pasta dish with Italian sausage and could not stop eating before taking a pic. The prices are good and the ambience helps you enjoy your meal. Could use a better location, but I am sure this place will out grow their current location. If your in the Grand Prairie area stop in and make this a must try stop.

I give them a five star review. The service was very good. I ate the shrimp and lobster linguine it was light. The food had a perfect temp, cream sauce blended well with the shrimp and lobster. The sun-dried tomatoes were a perfect accent to the entire meal. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, they had a live piano player and singer that was excellent. The restaurant is clean and has a very authentic Italian feel to it.

This was my 1st time ordering here and it’s kind of confusing on how many names they have(Spago/Spazzio.) Which ever you go with this little restaurant has a cozy and romantic feel. I placed a to go order, so I didn’t get to scope out much of the restaurant. Now to the important stuff… Food! I gotta say I only ordered the appetizers, but it was pretty good. The fried calamari($ 9.99) was my favorite! The dipping sauce had a lemony kick to it so I ask for ranch dressing. I also ordered the spinach and artichoke dip($ 7.99) I didn’t feel like this had much flavor but I did like the garlic bread that came with it.

Cute Italian restaurant in a strip center. I got the chicken alfredo and they used really thick noodles, it was so good, I almost ate all of it, the portion size was perfect. Service was very good. The atmosphere was white tablecloths, candles and nice music. It would be a good place for a date night. I was a little confused because some previous reviewers said this used to be Spago’s…the signs on the outside still say Spago’s VINO and when you walk in there are bottles of wine on the wall, but it is BYOB, I guess they are still working on their liquor license? I would remove the bottles of wine if they aren’t serving any. I have been looking for a nice Italian restaurant in Arlington that is not a chain(Olive Garden, etc) and a step up from a regular pizza & pasta place… I think this may be it!

I am really liking this place. We need to go back. They have some incredible delicious dishes. The best egg plant I have ever had. Nice size dishes. I have some people that I want to take here to sample the great menu. They really need to get WiFi. Hard to review when you can’t even get cellular service. Just one of those buildings in one of those location where you get blocked out or it is so bad you just give up.
