Start to Finish concrete Construction

I’ve had Owen do two stamped concrete patios for me at two separate homes. He gives a very competitive rate, often times lower than most other companies. He really does everything from «Start to Finish». He broke apart our old concrete patio, dug a proper foundation, frame, pour, stamp, and sealed the patio.
You get the low costs because you pay for the mud directly to the concrete company. This keeps him from having to increase his costs. I also knew that I was a smaller «side job» while he had bigger projects that he was working on in the area so I was flexible with the schedule. This is how you get such a great quote for the job.
Overall I’m very happy with his work and have referred him to many of my friends.

Owen was suppose to pour 2 patios for my family on 2 separate days… the first pour went as expected — color was great. on the 2^nd day, Owen decided to attend to his personal matters (he was suppose to receive a large screen TV before the NFL) and as a result of his lack of management the color was missing from the concrete that was poured on the 2^nd day. looks unbelievable when you see the 2 different colors. We were incredibly disappointed and frustrated with the results. In attempt to find a solution with Owen — we agreed that he would refund me $ 1000. Of which I have not received. I have given him many opportunities to establish a timeline for replayment — including monthly installments. Now Owen has completely ignored my calls and text message. I too have filed a complaint with BBB and it has yet to be resolved. Next step is small claims court.
Stay away from Start to Finish Concrete Construction!
Owen lack integrity and is unreliable in his communication and follow through.

We solicited several bids for a sidewalk project in the early spring. Owen’s bid was competitive and he appeared to be customer oriented.
We asked him to proceed with the project at the agreed upon price. We should have been concerned when he failed to provide us with a written estimate but we moved forward.
The day he decided to pour the concrete, he let me know that I needed to be there to pay for the concrete! Another red flag I ignored. Additionally, the weather called for rain and he assured me that it would not be an issue as he could cover the walk way if needed.
We had asked him to provide us with a walk way of colored and stamped finished concrete. The walk way was never covered at the end of the day and the rain washed away the color and the finish. It also washed holes in portions of the walk way, exposing aggregate.
Owen promised to make good on the walk way once the weather got better. Well, we had a wonderful summer, during which we could not get him to return phone calls, except once when he did return a rather pointed message left by my wife, where he expressed his displeasure at the suggestion that he was not acting in a ethical manner.
To date, we have not been able to get a response! We filed a complaint with the BBB, which was ignored by Owen!
I would stay far away from this company! Shame on us for not seeing the signs clearly for what they were from the beginning.
