Subway

I eat here all the time, and food and service have always been great, especially compared to other Subways. A great value for lunch or dinner in Shirlington, which is typically pricey for food.

Average Subway. Nothing noteworthy. I’m not generally a fan of Subway anyway — I think the sandwiches usually taste dry and the bread tastes a bit like cardboard, while the other ingredients (even the ones in more interesting sandwiches like the cheesesteak and the teriyaki chicken) don’t really add a great flavor. But comparatively, this location is fine for Subway. It’s clean and the service was nice. Oh, and there’s plenty of parking right outside in the Shirlington Village parking lot.
My bf and I stopped by briefly for sandwiches — we ordered the cheesesteak and chicken teriyaki (footlongs) and split. They were tasty enough for Subway. I wouldn’t mind visiting again.

If Subway has the most friendliest store award, this location would easily win it ! The folks here always greet your’s truly with a smile and engage in brief chit chat. Usually we’re discussing how the Redskins blew the game but scored at least 20 points ! As a result they’ll honor the Redskins promotion the day after a home game. Redskins’ fans and haters can get a free 6 inch sub, with a purchase of a drink and chips for a total of $ 3 and some change. They’re very efficient and fast when it comes to creating my sub. As a result, Subway is very reliable almost like the Redskins. HTTR and HTTS (Hail to the Subway).

This is your typical subway but by far the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I had the same thing happen to me as a review I read earlier (MULTIPLE TIMES!); as in the ladies working there were too involved practically screaming at each other from across the store that she wasn’t paying any attention to my sub! Mind you, I work in the village so it’s perfect for a quick meal, hence why the outrage at this happening every single time! (THOUGH I’M FINALLY FED UP!) Anyways, after telling her 3 times what kind of sub and bread I wanted and as well as toasted, she was about to put lettuce on it, AFTER THREE TIMES, I HADN’T EVEN ASKED FOR LETTUCE YET! I quickly payed and left.

Although we know how great Subways are across the board, I am writing about the customer service.
This place has to have the worse service for all of the Subway chains. The ladies there have no sense of customer service; they were more involved with talking to each other in their own language rather than to attend to the customer needs. I stood in line for about 6−7minutes while they «BS». I understand if there’s an issue then by all means they need to handle it, but at least acknowledge the costumer and let them know you’ll be with them shortly. The person making the sub was very rude and she was using the same glove to touch the register– very unsanitary.
I am not the only one that experience this, the person before me and after me was very unhappy. And in a conversation amongst us, we agreed– Poor costumer service!
Hopefully, Subway can put this place under surveillance and in turn change the management.

Great subway location — excellent, consistent customer service experience. I’m always impressed with the employees and the quality of food at this location.

This is about as typical of a Subway as you can get… You know what you’re going to get before you get there.
One nice thing is that it is rarely busy at dinner.

Your typical Subway’s, but sort of on the parking lot side of Shirlington. Parking is always tight around lunch time… but I usually just walk. Staff is okay. I wish they would give «extra olives» instead of just one or two more. Seriously. This might be my imagination but the sandwiches look a little lean here, but the $ 5 footlong is definitely enough for lunch.
