I do not recommend SunTrust Bank. I opened a business checking account at this location. The employee we worked with was clearly not trained for settings up new accounts, she gave us incorrect information. Even though we clearly stated the address that the first order of checks should have printed and mailed, SunTrust printed the incorrect address and mailed it to that address; hence, the checks were returned to the bank. The bank did not notify me of this; I found out when I called to find the status of the mailed checks. I was charged a second time for issuing a second set of checks with the correct address printed on them.
When I called to set up online banking, I clearly spelled out my name; it was then misspelled. The customer relationship manager contacted me to find out how SunTrust can do a better job. I replied requesting a telephone meeting, and my response was then ignored. There seems to be a systematic customer customer problem at every level at SunTrust. I plan to take my account elsewhere.

This is by far the worst bank I’ve ever been to.
The branch never has more than three people working at a time; two tellers and one manager. So even though it has almost no customers, you’ll always have to wait at least a half-​hour if you want to do anything other than basic deposits or withdrawals.
They spelled my address wrong on my checks … twice. Third time’s a charm, eh? Oh, and they forgot to tell me that if I «change my address» on the phone (I corrected it, didn’t change it), it would take 35 – 40 business days to process my check order.
Best of all, after I closed an account, the account overdrew $ 6 (the teller never bothered to tell me this was a possibility)! A week later, I had -$ 111 in my account, which I had closed! The $ 105 was from overdraft fees.
The only reason I chose this bank was because I got free everything through my employer (interest, free checks, free money orders, no fees, etc.). Unfortunately, even with the fees associated with standard checking accounts at other banks, SunTrust wasn’t worth it.
This is an all-​around bad bank and a terrible business.
