My boyfriend and I visited Twisted Vines on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. They were very busy, but we were able to snag the last two seats at the bar. The mimosas were very tasty. I normally don’t like when restaurants have the mimosas pre-mixed in large amounts but Twisted Vines mimosas were very good. Their bloody marys are not a house mix, and my boyfriend had to order an extra shot of vodka for his because there was hardly any alcohol in it. Mixed feelings on the food. I ordered a fritatta and my boyfriend ordered the french toast. They were both fairly good, but nothing to write home about. The service was very slow and took way too long to come out. It was one hour from the time we ordered that we received our food, which is unacceptable. Not sure if I would return.

Had a great time here this weekend. Had two different kinds of white wine which were both great: a Muscat and sauvignon blanc. Also had some tasty nibbles like garlic pickles and hummus. Would definitely come back to this place.

We stumbled upon twisted vines and were not disappointed. Nick our trusted bartender and server made some wonderful suggestions and we couldn’t have been happier. We had three small plates and it was a generous enough serving that we didn’t feel the need to order an entrée. We had the wine tasting and finished it off with the molten lava cake.

New to the area and on the prowl for a new regular hangout. Looked through Unilocal reviews, came across this place, and boy-howdy, is it great! Small, intimate, not raucously noisy(although there was a happy hour party when I first got there that made some noise as they slowly made their way home). I’ve never seen such an extensive wine by the glass list. The bartender told me they have over 30 bottles open and ready to pour. Their beer selection is limited, but covers the main beer food groups(a stout, an ipa, etc.) and is all local, so thats kinda cool. They’ve got a ton of whiskies, but I know nothing about them, so didn’t dive in. Was too busy chowing down on my steak with, wait for it… duck fat mashed potatoes. Yes. It was as good as it sounds. I had it with a flight of wine from Italy. Anyway, I hope the staff likes me because I intend to visit them often. My advice — sit at the bar, chat with the knowledgable bartenders about wine, have one of the many flights they offer. A good time seems guaranteed.

Zero stars. Horrible, horrible service. I am walking away from this restaurant absolutely livid due to the rude treatment I received from the owner herself. And keep in mind, I am not one of those diners that is hard to please and that I have typically frequented this restaurant and even recommended this restaurant to friends. My two girlfriends and I were looking forward to getting together to catch up over brunch. I recommended this location and was excited bc I haven’t had brunch here yet– only dinner and HH. We arrived at 11am and were seated. Sat there for a few minutes and flagged down the hostess for our menus. we ordered food and waited. And waited. Over one hour later and many questions to the hostess and staff re: our food, we were told there was a delay due to being«slammed» and that they«aren’t usually busy like this on Saturday.» Ummmm… It wasn’t slammed and there were plenty of empty tables. Food came for every table except ours and we had to flag down the server for coffee and water. Finally at nearly 12:30, 1.5 hours later, the owner comes over to tell us they lost our ticket and she was going to finally make our food now. What the!!! There was no apology or remedy or appropriate customer service. Never once did anyone offer to bring us a complimentary drink or snack for the delay. I was flabbergasted. In addition, when the owner stated she was going to finally cook our food, I asked her if there would be any remedy for our time and delay. She scoffed at my question and stated, «well I guess we can discount it a bit» but acted as though I was asking for the world. I am throughly disappointed and upset at the service and treatment. I will not be returning. Please reconsider the way you treat your guests.

First time at this popular brunch spot. Met up with a few friends group of(11). Very small but upscale hole in the wall, We were the first to arrive and be seated so I assume they just opened. The waitress was very nice and took our order, she was very attentive with refilling our waters and coffees. When our food orders arrived is where the trouble started. Majority of the meals were cold, with the exception of the pancakes and 2 breakfast burrito orders. Even the hash browns were cold. If you have a egg Benedict meal with poached eggs and the yolk doesn’t run out when you break it then you can only assume it’s going to be cold in which case it was, Many of us just ate our meals but did tell the over worked waitress who could have used more assistance, and we later found out someone had called out. By this time the place is packed and she is the only one taking orders while the Bartender/expediter is running food. One person in our group did refuse to eat his cold food and return it, and at his request the order was being remade. While the rest of our group was finishing up our cold to luke warm meals his food had still not come out. After 25+ minutes he had requested the food not to come as all the quest within our group had finish eating. When asked to speak to a manager, we had to wait awhile but when she came out she was very apologetic and was helping us make our experience a better one. The final decision was to take our tables final bill and subtract 50% from it. Our group definitely appreciate that on the behalf of the manager who is also the owner. I like the resolution to this problem we had and I’m hoping when I return again for brunch to this establishment I can give it the 4 star rating it deserves. So I was giving 1 star but gave 2 for the Manager/Owner taking care of half our bill.

We went to brunch at Twisted Vines with a party of 11. They were very nice and had our table ready for us. Drink orders were taken promptly and delivered. The bottomless mimosas were tasty but slow. They gave us a 2 hour time limit to finish since another large party was coming through. At this pace, we’re not sure if we will make the 7 mimosa limit. The entrees looked tasty and were delivered all together but came out cold. The huevos rancheros, eggs benedict, and hashbrowns were not hot actually lukewarm to cold So disappointing. Although they did bring out warm-er hash browns, I didnt even want to finish my meal bc the eggs benedict was congealed. When the manager Michelle finally arrived, she made it all better. Took a discount off the check and offered those who didnt eat a meal to go. Remember we had a 2 hour time limit. So their stars went from one star to two and change. The owner said to come back and give them another chance, also to try her famous bloody mary. We’ll see.

Zero stars. Horrible, horrible service. I am walking away from this restaurant absolutely livid due to the rude treatment I received from the owner herself. Oh wow. Found this place on wine bar search and what a gem. Went yesterday to Sunday brunch with the chicks. Mimosas was perfection. Adorable waiter keep us laughing and always on point with our needs. I was in a group of 5. Had the crab cake Benedict. Very tasty. Crab cake was huge! Petite salad had a great vinaigrette on it.

Half ass french toast, runny Benedict, NO Bottomless mimosas(I mean really, what kind of place charges you almost 20 bucks for«bottomless mimosa» but then writes«max of 7 glasses per person» underneath!!!) LAME! I’ll never give them my hard earned nickels again.

Found this place thanks to fellow Unilocalers! Stopped in for a quick brunch on Saturday afternoon. The menu is small, but varied. I wouldve liked to see a bigger menu though. Its a very cozy, intimate place. I ordered a specialty eggs Benedict, since apparently they don’t have just the classic, with canadian bacon. I ordered it with bacon instead. Very yummy! The egg was a bit under cooked for my liking, but I’d rather that than over done. The fiancé had french toast. Thick, powdered sugar loaves were brought out. Not much syrup, and none was given to apply his own. 8 $ for a side of 4 slices of bacon. Wut? Anyways, we had mimosas 8 $ a piece. Ouch. Our server was nice, but not very attentive, and she often kept us waiting. We even had to ask another server for our bill. See my attached picture. I’d say it’s a nice place to try… but I wouldn’t call it my fave just yet!

This place is adorable… loved the ambiance! Met up with a friend for HH and was being helped by Nick who was fantastic and so helpful with helping me make choices from their menu! I had a small plate of meatballs that was really yummy! I would say the only thing keeping this place from being a 5 is that the happy hour is not really a «steal». Just a heads up(and to prevent disappointment if you’re a thorough Unilocaler like me), don’t go by the HH menu picture that was posted on here back in September ’15. That is no longer accurate; instead it’s $ 2 off most menu items. I would hope that they put that up on their site soon to prevent confusion. All that to say, that their brunch menu looked great & I will definitely return here for dinner or brunch in the future :)

WOWIE! came here for happy hour and it did not disappoint! $ 2 off everything on the menu except for the entrees. The pick 4 cheese & charcuterie board: All of the items were outstanding. Drunken Goat — YUMMY! it was a semi soft, nutty and delicious. recommended by the bartender. Manchego — one of my favorite cheeses, always a good pick Chorizo — really delicious here! Smoked Duck Breast — recommended by the bartender, it was super delicious! Ahi Tuna with grilled pineapple. Raw item on the menu? A must order for me! This dish was really good! that grilled pineapple flavored the tuna with a hint of sweetness that really made the dish for me. A surprising a delicious dish, they did a great job bringing flavor to the tuna, not easy to do for a fish that usually tastes bland to me. Mini Carnitas Tacos!!! YUMMY!!! really delicious tacos, it comes with 4 per order, a great deal. Served with pico de gallo and guacamole. Steak Flatbread — it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing. I’d skip this the next time. Steak on the flatbread was tasty though! Crabcakes!!! BESTDISHOFTHENIGHT! You’d never expect to eat bomb diggity crab cakes coming to a wine bar, but this place serves one of the best crab cakes I’ve ever had. They are meaty and the harissa sauce on top gives it that nice kick. The micro greens is seasoned well and with a squeeze of lemon, it ties everything together perfectly. House wine for $ 6, really great deal, and really tasty! Parking lot is on the right of the store, its free! We’ll be coming back soon for those delicious crab cakes, mini carnitas taco, ahi tuna, and cheese+charcuterie board!

A couple of friends and I stopped her for brunch after the Wreaths for Vets event at Arlington National. We literally searched«bottomless mimosas» and this was the first area in Arlington to pop up! It’s definitely a «cozy» spot — meaning, it’s not for big groups. The business itself is relatively small, with a small dining area, bar, and bottleshop in the back. The brunch menu was nice and variegated — vegetarian and seafood options are always a plus for me! We ordered the french toast, pancakes, and steak and eggs. My friend loved the pancakes — very big portions, nice and fluffy. The french toast was equally as delicious and big enough to share. The steak and eggs were somewhat of a let down as the cut described on the menu(hangar) wasn’t what we got. The only let down were the discrepancies on their online menu and the actual menu. Online, it states bottomless mimosas are«$ 9/maximum 9 glasses per person». However, the menu at the restaurant states«$ 15⁄7 glasses per person». I did point this out to the staff, so they were lenient with the drinks :) Over all, it was a nice experience. I would love to come back and sample their wine(they’re a bottleshop and all) and cheese board.

Stopped in for drinks with friends before heading to dinner. The place has a clean, cozy yet modern feel. The staff here is fantastic. Just super friendly people who will do whatever they can to answer your questions. They continually asked if we needed anything else without being pushy. Top notch no doubt. The wine list is ok, not overly expansive in volume, but covers many different regions around the world. They have about 25 wines by the glass on the menu. The selection was very diverse covering both Old and New World wines along with many different varietals. No varietal is repeated on the wine by the glass list. This is one of the better wines by the glass lists I have seen. Most wines were about $ 8-$ 14 per glass. If you are not into wine, the do have a fully stocked bar. They also have a very small selection of beer on tap, all of which seemed to be local brews. If you are interested in having a beer here, please note your selection is limited. We did not have food here, only drinks. Overall this is a really nice establishment. Great staff and an unpretentious feel. I would happily come back here, no questions asked.

This establishment is being reviewed for brunch under the new ownership(change back in August) of Tony Wagner. 2 of my friends and I came here for Sunday brunch, and were unfortunately disappointed by the experience. The crab cakes on the Crab Benedict were a good portion, and the side of bacon was perfectly crisped, but everything else had significant room for improvement. The restaurant was under staffed leaving long wait times for less than friendly service, the tables were placed a bit beyond the cozy comfort level to its neighbors, and the food seemed to have been prepared with little consideration(or possibly the result of an overwhelmed kitchen staff trying to fill many orders).

Wine selections were not as vast as expected. The service was exceptional. Nick, our service was extremely kind, helpful, and knew his stuff. Went above and beyond for the gluten modifications. Very much appreciated. Great food, especially the hangar steak(thank you nick!). Nice atmosphere, wish I lived closer, would defiantly come back.

I was pleased with this place. I found it on Unilocal and booked a Saturday brunch reservation. Location had parking right next door that was free and easy to find. When I walked in there wasn’t a hostess but saw a reserved table and it was for my party. So they do well with reservations. Server was very nice and prompt. The atmosphere was nice. Not too crowded and not too loud. It was four of us in all. Food was great. My sister wanted the eggs Benedict but hates poached eggs and they made them scrambled for her no problem. I also got the bottomless mimosa. It’s $ 15 but if you know you want to drink more than two it’s better to get bottomless than one at a time. All in all it was a great afternoon and I would definitely suggest it for a nice ladies brunch and shopping after since it’s so close to the mall.

We stopped in for a quick Happy Hour and ended up meeting Tony — one of the new owners! The HH prices were as good as the wine and food selection, plus the location makes it very convenient for me to easily meet my girl as she gets off the 16Y! They’re about to install 4 beer taps that will feature local brews — this will be perfect for when she feels like wine and I feel like exploring new beers. We’ll be back soon!

We were finally able to return during dinner service and this is just such a cute wine bar in south Arlington. My favorite are their selective and interesting wine/glass picks. But their cheese & charcuterie boards also piqued my interest so we opted for the drunken goat cheese, manchego, and Mahon(like a brie) and the smoked duck breast, prosciutto and hot coppa. The hot coppa was definitely the favorite charcuterie and the manchego was the best cheese. As cheese boards go, it wasn’t the best I ever had, but I was impressed with the staff’s knowledge of the selections. Overall, cute and intimate place for a nice date night.

What a lovely little neighborhood wine shop and restaurant in the Columbia Pike neighborhood! My fiancé and I visited on a Friday evening around 6:30pm and just made it for their wine and appetizer happy hour(ends at 7pm). We ordered a ton of different things and had a wonderful experience. Service was very efficient and friendly and we got a nice spot right next to the window in their comfy chairs. We ordered: –Cheese and Charcuterie plate with some drinks — we went with 2 cheeses and 2 meat and loved it! For the cheeses, we got sharper gouda-type cheeses and for the charcuterie plate, we ordered prosciutto and duck(my fiancé enjoyed the latter more than I did). Paired perfectly with my wine(a riesling) and my fiancé’s beer(a wonderfully delicious watermelon beer — and I hate beer but I enjoyed trying this one). –Appetizer off their happy hour menu — we ordered the Twisted Mac(sun dried tomatoes/applewood smoked bacon/jack & chedder cheese/shell pasta/parmesan bread crumbs). This was PERFECT. EVERYTHINGTHAT I LOVE!!! SOGOOD and worth it! It’s probably one of the top 2 best mac n cheeses I’ve ever eaten, right after the lobster mac n cheese I had last year at another restaurant(because what can compete with lobster mac n cheese?). but the Twsited Mac was pretty darn good. –Entrees — I ordered the steak with chimichurri sauce and potatoes and seasonal veggies. The steak was a little underdone(I asked for medium) for my taste and I wasn’t really a huge fan(I’ve certainly eaten better steak), but I really liked the presentation and how unique this dish was. My fiancé ordered two appetizers as his entrée — the Ahi Poke with avocado and 3 tacos. He absolutely loved his food and raved about how good it was. I tried a bit of his ahi poke tuna and was very impressed. Overall, food, presentation, atmosphere, and drinks are EXCELLENT here and we would certainly visit again! Parking is convenient, as the restaurant has its own parking lot and there was ample space when we visited. Overall, I think this place is a gem. I’m a lover of wine shops and bistros generally and this place did not disappoint!

Went there on a date night. Prices were fair for the food and they serve you enough and decent service. If you follow my reviews then you know how I feel about price equating to quality and quantity. This place does a good job. Ordered the bacon fig flat bread. It sound odd but definetely worth getting. Also with a side of kale salad and that was tastey as well. My opinion thats enough to get you started and order more from there. 4 glasses of wine and thise two items I ordered was $ 70. Mostly the price came from the wine.

I searched high and low to find a superbly different place to take my fiancé for our first Valentines Day. After reading the wonderful reviews, I first sent an email to make reservations, I was worried they didn’t get it. So I followed up with a phone call and Tony got my reservation together for brunch! Later that evening, Sybil emailed back, I told her that I confirmed with Tony.(Winning) so far. There are so many things I LOVE about this place. To name a few the«quaint» and«coziness» feel of this restaurant. The server was über attentive and we never had an empty glass. The food was by far the best treat. I had the Mascarpone French Toast and my fiancé had the Huevos Rancherio, we both loved, loved, LOVED our meals. A few people spoke up about wanting to order the French Toast, I told them it was simply amazing. We will definitely return and recommend to others!!!
