Went here one time a few months ago and it just wasn’t my cup of tea. I ordered bibimbap and the flavors just weren’t something I’ve really had before, so I didn’t really like it. There wasn’t a lot of people when I dined there but the staff was nice and they had Kpop music videos playing on TVs throughout the restaurant.

Just drove by on March 20th2016 and the place had closed down. Not open for business. They had some some good food. Sad sad day…

wow. my friends all ordered different soups. however, the only difference was whatever meat was in each soup. The broth was all the same. price is too high. i can go to other korean bbq buffet places that offer cheaper, better quality meats, service, and cleaner.

Didn’t try the food but was pissed because we drove over 5 miles for a sign on the door saying under construction and closed. I’m not sure if this resturant benefits from Unilocal review or not but please let your potential customers know that you will be closed. Would have drove the double digit miles to Carrollton to get some good korean food. Can’t wait to go back to where the Korean food is plenty.

I have been to many Korean restaurants and this is not a good Korean food experience went here once and that’s is my first and last time. Thank god now there is a new Korean restaurant in Arlington where I can satiate my Korean BBQ cravings.

Oooh. I see the haters here lol. I’ll agree Won Korea House does have an overpriced menu. The food is not worth the money, but I’m sure they know that it is one of the very few Korean restaurants in Arlington, so they decided to charge a little bit more. I don’t really blame them. More money is always nice, except when it doesn’t work out the way that it is supposed to, then it’s pretty much the same as if they were to have regular prices. Also, with what little customers they reel in, they probably do need the money to hold it down. I think they would do better if they revamp the menu prices, though. The food itself is delicious, in my opinion. The bulgogi is marinated well and it is very soft, tender, and juicy to eat. It comes with your basic ban chan– kimchi, black beans, bean sprouts, broccoli, etc. and also a bowl of rice. Beware: if you order more rice, they will charge for it without telling you first. No complimentary egg soufflé or bean paste soup given here as they do at Omi’s. The tteokbokki is just a tad bit chewy. I have eaten homemade tteokbokki that was unbelievably soft before but Won’s is still good and spicier the more you eat it. Since the tteokbokki is an appetizer, even though it is quite large of a portion, it’s not going to fill you up so you will most likely need to order a real meal as well. Also, I saw that they put rice inside of the salt shaker which I thought was interesting. It is to keep it from getting wet and also makes it not clump together. Isn’t that neat? Asians are so creative lol. Our waitress is usually the same woman since they don’t have or need much staff and she is very soft spoken and kind. The atmosphere is calming and super quiet because not many customers are there, so if you enjoy a peaceful place to relax and socialize, this restaurant can give you that type of environment away from all the hustle and bustle of other loud places. Yes, I will come back here, but not so often. Only when I don’t mind forking up some cash or can’t make the far drive. It is better to go to Carrollton for Korean food. There is a lot more variety and it is more reasonable.

The food was so delicious, I needed to be rolled out of here. It really hit the spot! The place was very nice inside. The guy that served us was good! He did everything from hostess, waiter, and table cleaner. He served everyone all by himself. It was a long wait to get your drink refilled. It’s pricey here but I really loved the food. It’s worth the price. All they need is more people working so they can serve faster.

Don’t go here. Don’t go here if you«just want to try it just to try it». It’s super overpriced for mediocre food. I knew something was wrong the moment I walked in for dinner to find it completely empty. It would’ve been one star but the hostess/server was nice. It was $ 27 for LA Galbi. That’s when I knew I should’ve left. One serving. And they still charged extra for rice. Not to mention that it took 30 minutes for the food to come out? It sucks that this is the only Korean restaurant in Arlington but trust me, just go to H-Mart instead.

I haven’t had any good Korean food since I moved here from LA in 2014. I ordered the bibim neagmyeon and loved it! The kimchi and rice and all the other side dishes were yummy as well. I also ordered some hot tea but I don’t remember what kind of tea it was. I felt nice and full without feeling overly stuffed and bloated after I left. Our waitress was very nice and friendly and we will definitely return in the future!

Yes, yes, yaaaassss… its a total Korean monopoly in Arlington– so they have a pricier menu. I’d do it if I didn’t have any competition within 30 miles. so I’m not really mad about it. The place does have a smell. but this building is old. sometimes you cant help it. But as soon as the food comes barreling out of the kitchen you just don’t care anymore. The service is very slow. I’m completely agreeing with all the complaints my fellow Unilocalers have made, but… BULGOGIINARLINGTON, YOUFOOLS!!! But the servers were never rude or unaccommodating– they just hang out in the back longer than they should. I have never seen the place what I would consider busy– no more than 5 tables including mine. I do dig the K-Pop they have playing on the TV screens– I’m always mesmerized by it. LOL The food is legit– I’m fine with paying a little more and not driving to Gui-Rock or Omi. I have yet to do the BBQ, only because I’m in love with the spicy bulgogi and I just want to stuff my face with only that. They don’t have a large variety of banchan either– the basics– but all I ever really NEED is kimchee, potatoes, and the bean sprouts so they have that covered. Eat here so they don’t close, I cant keep it open on my own!!!

The food is okay. The prices are a bit high, yes, but the staff is very polite and enjoyable to talk to. The restaurant is not in the best of shape and often has water leaks on rainy days. Korea House in Dallas is much better in terms of food quality, menu options, and portions for the same price, but it’s not under the same ownership as Won Korea House and the two aren’t related. While perhaps not the best, this is the only place to go for Korean food in the Arlington area. If that’s what you’re craving and don’t want to drive 30 minutes or so, it hits the spot.

I think this place will be a hit if they 1. Fix up the place a little bit. There’s a broken window that they tried fixing with a tape and it seriously makes the place look a little sketchy. 2. Bigger portion!!! You’re paying 20 something dollars for a few short ribs would it hurt to throw in more side dishes or salad and soup for dinner like other places? Also we came in at 6pm and the place was dead and it took 20 minutes for our food to come out and they’re not very good at checking back to see if we need more water or side dishes. This place has great potential just poorly managed.

This was my first trip here. I typically go for bib-im-bop or dang jang chigae. I went with the kalbi and was in heaven. The service was great and the meal as well. I’ll be back again very soon.

Very good food. Bulgogi had a few fatty pieces but overall very good. Lots of food and great side dishes.

This is my favorite Korean restaurant in DFW. They are quite reliable and consistent in their service. The bibim naengmyeon is excellent. So is the Korean pancake, and all of the banchan provided. It’s also a pleasure to watch the Korean pop music videos while we eat.

This is the closest Korean restaurant to me so when I want Korean food I go here. The food does not compare to my mom’s cooking so I cannot give it five stars. I usually get the hot stone Bibimbop even though I live in Texas and it’s already really hot here. I also always order extra kimchi because I can never have enough. My other favorite dishes include Kimchi Jjijae(soup) which I think needs more meat, and Jajangmyeon which is noodle dish with a black bean sauce mixed with diced vegetables. If you haven’t tried Korean food before I would try the Bulgogi(grilled marinated beef) or the Kalbee(beef ribs). They serve the food with side dishes. I also suggest removing the potato salad from the bento box. I’m confused why it’s even in there. The atmosphere is okay. Service is good.

We had a spicy seafood appetizer and the hot pot with beef broth and a large live octopus. They bring you kitchen scissors to cut that guy up when he’s cooked. The broth was so good. Oh man. The server kept bringing the kimchi dishes. It blew our minds. Have you ever had a flavor or smell take you back in time? It took me back to the 1988 Olympics in Seoul.

I have always been a big fan of Korean food but it’s hard to find a good restaurant in the dfw area. This is by far the best place I’ve been to for Korean food! I like the menu options in this place. And they always serve the free side dishes that includes kimchi when you order you main course. When I went there, we ordered haemul dolsot bibimbap and the samchi gui. The bibimbap came in a claypot with rice and season, very Korean style. The samchi hui was actually mackerel fish very close to what I used to love eating in Singapore which was called Saba fish instead in the Korean places there. These two dishes were fantastic. Otherwise get the hotpot if you are there in a big group and Korean BBQ is very tasty too! The lady who served us was very friendly and I’ll definitely visit this place again!

My review may be a little limited, because this is only the second Korean place I have ever been too. I ordered the Bibimbap with Galbi(short ribs). My bowl came sizzling hot and stayed warm for quite awhile. The rice that was on the bottom got crispy. The galbi(meat) was not as good as the other place I go to, they season their meat better, I found Won’s meat to be lacking as much flavor. It came with some yummy veggies including marinated cucumber and mushrooms. The kimchi that came before the meal was really good. I thought I didn’t like kimchi until I had it here! As far as price, I think for dinner they should lower their prices and give less food. My husband ordered the fried rice and it could have fed three people. I really wanted the Galbi plate but it was over $ 20 and they wouldn’t let us order a smaller portion off the lunch menu.
