We went during Thanksgiving week. This is such a peaceful and quiet trail. It’s not a touristy trail with lots of people. We only saw one other family during our entire hike. It seems like it is a very locals only trail. Access to the trail seemed easy to get to. Plenty of parking and the pine trees were majestic and grand. We went while the leaves and pine cones have fallen so this made for a nice scenic route. On the flip side, after awhile, we were getting a bit disoriented because each pine tree looks just like the other pine trees around. The trail head was marked well. As you go further in, it’s harder to distinguish the trail but it’s also because of the fallen leaves and pine cones. I read that this trail was made and upkept by volunteers. Of course this is a huge task and I applaud the volunteers for their commitment to the trail. It is one I will visit and hike again. It’s a beautiful area along the Sierra Nevada foothills.

This is a beautiful hiking trail nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I have only done 10 miles or so but I have gone on multiple occasions and at different times of the year. The scenery is lovely and the trail is pretty well kept. I would reccomend it to anyone from beginners to experts.
