I had a craving for good seafood with a casual atmosphere. Deep Creek Restaurant & Marina is a gem in the rough. There were 6 of us, ages 9 yrs-69 yrs. We went early(5:30) to get a table w/out a reservation. Our service was impeccable. The food was delicious. Each plate was perfectly seasoned w/a beautiful presentation. The prices are very reasonable. Our bill w/a bottle of red wine was $ 235. We will return. Nancy F

Delicious Chesapeake chicken: chicken breasts covered with a creamy crab sauce. The warm crab dip in its own bread boule is a meal in itself and very tasty and rich. They offer 2 kinds of crab soup: crab with vegetables in a clear tomato broth and a cream based soup.

Its the kind of place you take your parents for dinner. Right on the water so great views from every table. Food is very good and dinner for two with an appetizer will run you about $ 50 with tip. The best part is the wait staff, they are friendly but the best part is there are so many of them, I never was in need of anything as a waiter was always around. Its been there forever and a day and is a very«local» spot but is surely worth a try!

We recently went for brunch and everything seems to have deteriorated: the food, the décor and the service. The food was dried out and poor quality, the place desperately needs a deep clean, new flooring and a lick of paint — and the hostess was downright rude. I can’t even be bothered to relate the sorry tale but suffice to say we won’t be coming back for a while.

Beware: Deep Creek is NOT handicap friendly. The entrance has a ramp but the restrooms are NOT wheelchair accessible(step up with narrow hall & doors). We complained to the weekday server/manager(same person) about the lack of wheelchair access, restrooms smelling of urine, flat draft beer & broiled seafood plated in a pool of liquid. Needless to say, the server/manager received NOT tip. While getting in our wheelchair van, the other server(female) walked out & started saying a bunch of crap to us because we did NOT leave a tip. Here’s your tip: Be more compassionate to handicap patrons in wheelchairs !!! The owner should invest some of his«cash» into renovating the restrooms

Came here for the Sunday brunch buffet. Well priced, food was decent. I liked it more than my wife but she’s a tough grader. Good place to get a good sticks to your ribs variety — waffles, omelets, various desserts, home fries, chopped beef on biscuits, eggs benedict, french toast, and various other goodies. Nice views.

The food comes out cold and taistless. I have been here three times and each time the same issues. It’s over priced for the food you get. It could be really good if the chief would taist what they are serving.

Great cream of crab soup and burgers. Service was quick. They give you complimentary warm bread which was a nice touch. Casual laid back atmosphere. It was an enjoyable meal with a beautiful water front view.

We enjoyed the cream of crab soup which had nice chunks of backfin. Our burgers were great too. Service and atmosphere excellent. Very casual, neighborhood vibe and the waterfront view was great.

Great crabcakes & outside picnic table seating in the summer time. Our son enjoys feeding the ducks on the pier while we wait for our food.

Bottom Line: Very casual, almost divey, but offers views of the Magothy and tasty seafood. As other Unilocalers have mentioned, Deep Creek used to be a fancier place. I remember coming here two decades ago when people dressed up, there were tablecloths on the tables and it was kinda a destination. Today, the concept is a bit different but Deep Creek is still a place I enjoy visiting for the following reasons: — Casual so need to get glammed up. I like stopping by here on my way home from work when I am too lazy to cook. — They have a bar where locals congregate for draft beer, wine and cocktails. The bar is totally casual with TVs and Keno. The bar is a little crusty and I kinda expect the sea captain from The Simpsons to walk in any minute. You can order from the full menu at the bar. — The nature of a seafood restaurant is that you can get a healthy meal. Or, throw caution to the wind and get it fried! Lately I am on a friend shrimp kick and Deep Creek has been satisfying my cravings with their beer battered and butterflied crustaceans. It’s not just the entrees I enjoy here. I also like how they lightly cook their green beans. — There is something fun about winding along back rounds to get here. For me, I can get here without having to get on Rt. 2 which is a nice change of pace. — An indoor table by the window or a seat outside will provide some nice river views. I am sure this place is hopping during the summer, but for me, I like the quietness of the off-peak winter season. Here is where I think Deep Creek has some room for improvement: — Having grown up in this area, Deep Creek is nostalgic. But along with that nostalgic comes some deferred maintenance, as others have mentioned. — The kitchen seems a little slow.

Half the fun of dining at this locale was the getting there. Just when you think it couldn’t be here, up it pops. A bit of a back water place but upon venturing in it all makes sense. Great Maryland dishes, crab, rockfish of course. Friendly, helpful service, decent bar selections, fair price. Having said this, serious thought should be given to updating, starting with the carpet. Very big, obvious stains in the carpet throughout could make the more squeamish not want to finish their meal. Spindles on many chairs were mended with colorful duct tape. Elmer’s Wood Glue would be a stronger less obvious repair. Water views help to mitigate the deferred maintenance. Granted I’m an out-of-towner but I’d bet your regulars would be tickled to see renovations for the better.

So, I went here many many times in high school and growing up in the area and it’s been at least ten years since I’ve been inside but I wanted to write a more updated review. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with the way Deep Creek used to be, table cloths, dim(mer) lighting, quiet, a nice restaurant for special occasions, holidays, Sunday brunch etc. This place has really changed. No longer is it the fancier place but more of a dated, very laid back establishment. This isn’t BAD per se, just different. Our server was very polite, and the food was great! As always. The menu is pretty basic but they do however have their fantastic homemade honey butter, as well as the salmon strudel still on the menu. If you have not ever had this. I highly encourage you to do so! Your taste buds will thank you. They are pushing for a boaters crowd, I totally get it. However, this place needs some major upgrades inside. The windows are extremely drafty, I felt a constant breeze as I sat and ate my dinner. The walls, carpet and décor just look. o-l-d. I think if they upgraded the inside they’d easily be able to attract the majority of places that are going to the Point for dinner on a warm summer night. I hope this place keeps around just needs some tweaks.

Saw that they got good reviews on the FoodNetwork’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and decided to check it out. Well, all I can say is customer service sucks. They act as if they don’t want you there. The food is just ok but attitude goes a long way in how you see the food. I’ll never go back and wouldn’t advise anyone to go…

Nice little local spot with a water view. This felt like a great local spot. The food was good but the request for Gluten Free options seemed to be a bit confusing for them. No problem. Still good service and a cool spot to visit especially if the weather is nice.

Great spot to end a full day of swimming at Sandy Point. Beautiful location and friendly staff and nice décor though the outdoors area is simply picnic tables. BUT… food is very average. Calamari was dry. Scallops cheesy. Chicken nuggets washed out and hard. Only nice part was margarita

At Deep Creek Restaurant you get the ambiance of a sports bar on the water but food that show the restaurant is serious about its cooking, and not just its drinking. Even the fish and chips, a pedestrian dish at most places, was a cut above average — crisp, tasty, and properly seasoned. The crab dishes are a shade expensive for a setting such as this, but if the crab soup is any indication, they would be worth trying. At these prices, you can’t get five stars from me unless you food is imaginative and something that demonstrates superior culinary skill. Deep Creek Restaurant does not do that, but remains a solid four star experience and worth the few mile drive from Annapolis.

After a series of errands, my husband and I both ended up in the Arnold area and decided to meet for dinner. Our conversation went something like this: Me: Want to meet at Deep Creek? It’s a marina over on– Him: Oh, great choice! I love that place. Me: You’ve been there?! Him: You haven’t?! Turns out a colleague of his docks at the marina, and they’ve been here numerous times for drinks and dinner after work. I was a little miffed for a few minutes, that I’d never been let in on this secret, but that dissipated very quickly into pleasure at having discovered it at last! There’s just a sweet, charming air here that infuses the entire experience. We were one of only a few occupied tables on a weeknight, but our server was gracious and didn’t rush us through the meal. The view is classy — an array of boats on the water outside, and a wood-paneled interior with a casual bar adjacent to the dining area. Their food is excellent, especially for the price: we weren’t starving, but enjoyed their Maryland crab and cream of crab soups and then split the California tuna salad. The cream of crab soup came with a little pitcher of sherry(again: classy!) and the Maryland crab was just what it should be – full of fresh vegetables and sweet meat in a spicy broth. The salad was delicious: tuna cooked to order on a bed of fresh greens. I ordered the dressing on the side, and the waitress kindly brought two kinds of vinaigrette so I could decide which I preferred. They were both great — a classic balsamic dressing and a sweeter hazelnut-berry version. I liked both! The«seasonal» fruit wasn’t really seasonal(pineapple and melon in March) but it was fresh and perfectly ripe, and I just ate it separately since it didn’t go too well with the fish. I also have to mention their warm, fresh baguette with honeyed butter. I could have eaten that all night! They have a good selection of wine and beer, too. I look forward to returning for a full dinner — lots of great-sounding options on the menu.
