Harter Bakery

I used to love this bakery, but the quality has really gone down hill. I recently ordered a cake from here and was surprised at how unprofessional this place is run. I didn’t order anything fancy, white cake with vanilla buttercream. It honest to God smelled like vomit! I’m not sure if it was spoiling or what. They had it in a white box with a clear top, otherwise they would have had to open it and show me and of course I would have smelt it. We didn’t even eat it :(
McArthurs will have our business when we’re in town.

Harters Bakery baked the best wedding cake ever. Montana worked with us to get us exactly what we wanted. She provided samples and searched for a picture to be sure we were going to get what we wanted. We got exactly what we wanted and the guests are still raving about the yellow cake with strawberry filling. The compliments from our guests are still coming in. Exceptional!!! Thank you Harters Bakery, Montana and all who were involved.

I ordered a birthday cake for my son’s 15^th. Went in 2 days early to order and pay. When I picked it today it was ready and waiting. It was delicious, moist, and exactly what I ordered.

I got married at Andre’s West in Fenton, and part of my wedding package included a cake from Harter Bakery. We ordered a 4-​tier with vanilla and chocolate cake and it was the best wedding cake I have ever had. We had compliments from all of the guests about how delicious and moist it was. I would definitely recommend them for your wedding cake! Their icing didn’t get hard either, which was a definite plus!

I think their birthday cake just as good as walmart birthday cake.

I stumbled upon Harter Bakery for my wedding cake about a year ago. We were trying to have a simple outdoor wedding and were footing the bill ourselves. (Anyone who has had a simple wedding probably knows that it turns out to be not so simple and way more expensive than you planned) Anyway, Harter’s price for their basic, three tiered cake was way less than any competitors’ (including my usual fave MacArthurs’s)
We were pleasantly surprised by the many options we were offered. They suggested that we get extra flowers from the florist to match my bouquet and place them on the cake. (They charge to do it themselves) We chose to have a different flavor for each tier; red velvet, chocolate, and vanilla cake. Each was delicious, and the cake turned out beautiful! They did have plenty of cake options for those who are not going the simple route also, btw.
The staff was extremely helpful and really worked with our pricing needs and preferences. I would definitely recommend!

I was craving for a good donut, and I decided to try this out as it is closer to my house. The staff was all smiles and seems friendly. We got some long John’s and wanted to try their Baklava. I was a disappointed, as I was expecting a little more. The donut was airy and it was just okay. Dunkin’s way better. The Baklava, I can’t taste any of the nuts in it but it was just plain sweet. It’s like eating a teaspoon of pure sugar. I might go back just to give it one more try, but not more than likely soon. I have to be really really desperate enough…

One of the things i missed wheni moved out to jefferson county so many years ago was the plentiful access to good bakeries. So, after we did move someone told us to try out Harters, and boy did we ever find one of the better places here in the metro area. I absolutely love their donuts and cakes. Every time i come in there is someone there will a big smile on their faces willing to help out those who have no clue what they want, but know they want some fresh, delicious Goodies!

This place is soooo good! The donuts are not too sweet and just about right! They have really good cinnamon crispies. It’s a small bakery and worth every penny! Love, love love this place!
