Yes, I can only give a 4!, because I haven’t tried it all, but still what we have tried is really good and my girls, picky ones!!!, like it too.

Only 2 stars because the food is edible. I ordered beef and broccoli and got shrimp and broccoli but didn’t realize it till I got home. Didn’t want to drive back. Shrimp and broccoli had 4 pieces of shrimp. Also got steamed dumplings. Not good at all. Too much dough on it and couldn’t tell or taste what kind of meat was inside. Overall this is not worth the money. Id rather drive 2 miles and go to the Chinese restaurant in Baydale. My wife got Mongolian beef and it was full of onions and not enough beef. The only thing that was great were their fried chicken wings.

Cmon… your food is actually good for fast food Chinese but I saw a roach. Please clean it up. And why not deliver.

I have been going here for years and I am never disappointed. I have found what I like, so if you are willing to try a few things to see what they do well, then you will have a cheap, good, reproducible experience within 10 – 15 minutes of ordering every time. The owners are very nice too.

Good for quick Chinese in Arnold, however they do not deliver. The staff was very friendly and the food was hot and fresh upon pickup. The Beef and Broccoli and Hot & Sour Soup were as good as any Chinese carryout, though I would not recommend the Mapo Tofu, as it tasted like tofu that had been cooked in Egg Foo Young gravy with dried Sichuan peppers added.

I really like this place. The food is really good for Maryland Chinese. I’m from Pennsylvania and spoiled by the quality of the Asian foods but this place is solid and can run w the best of them. I highly recommend the crawfish lo main, freaking awesome!

I’ve only eaten here once, and I’ll never go back. Prices are really fare, but the food is not up to par.

Ordered takeout for early lunch on a Saturday after noticing this spot one night dining next door. Will not be returning. Even compared with the subpar Chinese food options around here this was bad. Orange Chicken had a sauce sweeter than pure honey with no hint of orange. Or red pepper. Or ginger. Or garlic. Think lots of crunchy breading covered in thick pancake syrup. Dumplings were doughy and unpleasantly burnt on the bottom. Sauce tasted only of soy. Egg roll had the same filling and equal problems with a thick chewy wrapper. Fried rice was oddly, uniformly brown and greasy with little of interest added. Chose Hong Kong over Ming’s Café because they have cold sesame noodles on the menu. Sadly these had lots of noodles but not even enough sauce to coat half of them. And they would be so much better with more slivered fresh vegetables and sesame seeds. Pluses include nice folks, convenient location, good prices, no styrofoam, and plenty of fresh crisp broccoli. Nevertheless I can’t recommend it to anyone who likes the pungent flavors of Chinese cuisine.

A couple pieces of pathetic, chopped shrimp does not make Shrimp Fried Rice. The worst I’ve ever had. Never again!

Never a disappointment. Love the boneless ribs and sesame chicken. Consistent quality at a reasonable price and always friendly service.

Terrible double cooked pork. Overlooked and sweet. Prepared with indifferent vegetable and poor rice. Nearly inedible. The worst Chinese restaurant I have been to in a long time. Could not finish even though I was hungry. Avoid this place unless you are desperate.

The food is fresh and hot. I love the House Rice. It is loaded with shrimp. I have been a regular customer for many years. I am always greeted by the same familiar faces with a big smile. Great food and service at a reasonable price. I have tried other Chinese Carry Outs in the area. I would say this one is by far the best.

Bottom Line: More of a carry-out than a restaurant, but this place has some tasty Chinese food and a super friendly staff. After watching a show on TV about raising ducks for Peking Duck, I was craving some Chinese food.(Kinda twisted I know, but something about cute, little, yellow fuzzy ducklings pipping and hatching made me want some egg rolls made with duck sauce.) My trusty Unilocal app showed me the way to Hong Kong Restaurant. They don’t have a website and I couldn’t find a menu online so I headed over to the Arnold Station shopping plaza to place my order. In case you too are in the mood for Chinese food, here are some«fortunes» about Hong Kong Restaurant: — A craving you have for Chinese food will be satisfied by visiting Hong Kong Restaurant. Lucky numbers: 1450106. — Complete strangers will warmly welcome you and treat you like family. — A very kind person is ready to take your call. Lucky numbers: 4103490800. — The menu is diverse, let your imagination wander. — Good things come to those who wait, but luckily you will only have to wait about ten minutes for your food to be ready. Lucky numbers: 4103490800. Finally, I wanted to note that although Hong Kong Restaurant does have some tables where you can eat inside, this really is more like a carry-out. The ambiance for dining in is non-existent so best to take your food home with you.

The fried dumplings are 110% fantastic, and a steal at the low price. Other menu items range from good to mediocre, but you don’t care about that do you? You’re here for the fried pork /beef /chicken parts.

Just an update. the food is still very good, but for those of you tethered to your plastic as a form of payment, they now take credit/debit cards. Minimum purchase for plastic payment is $ 10,

I wanted to update my earlier review because we went back and tried Hong Kong again after a while:(thank you Unilocal for letting people update their reviews especially on mobile devices!) the food and staff friendliness here at Hong Kong in Arnold, MD was much better towards the end of 2013! We were happy again, but then we moved across the country and have to find a favorite local Chinese food take-out places all over again…

HK used to be my go to Chinese spot!!! That changed very quickly when I entered the establishment to pick my food up. A lady cutting raw chicken with no gloves stopped what she was doing to prep my order without washing hands. I told her I did not want the food and left. I have not been back.

It’s nothing fancy, just a little walk-up place in a strip mall. So don’t expect the fine décor and well-dressed staff that you’d find in nice Asian restaurants. But the food is really pretty good, and the staff are always friendly. Prices are reasonable, $ 8 for orange chicken, and portions are a good size. Not much else to say… Chinese food is pretty standard unless it’s REALLY bad, which this isn’t, so I’d recommend it. Check it out!
