Salvation Army is next to Fox High School so it’s tempting to go there when I’m in the mood to thrift. Not a huge selection of books or home décor which is disappointing– most of its just old junk. It for sure has the signature thrift store smell which is not pleasant. I will admit they always do have really great couches and furniture overall so if you or someone you know needs cheap but nice furniture, check it out.

I just bought window treatment for my house. The cashier told me I could return it. But when I tried to return it they said they only do clothing return with in 3 days. I talked to the manager about it he said he had to follow the policy rules. I told them that at goodwill they had 7 days return policy, why can’t they made it the same? I saw a nice furniture that they tried to sell for $ 600‑1000! My God, is this really are a thrift store?

Actually they had some nicer tables and items available if you are on a budget – however — the pricing can be here or there. I got a couple books –softbacks were 60 cents and hardbacks 99… I don’t even look at clothing — I did check out the small appliances some good deals on lawn mowers could be had and I did see a bread machine but they still wanted 40.00 for it and it was missing a part that would have to be ordered so even though I thought it was a good machine and just needed cleaned up. they were not willing to knock off a couple bucks so they can keep it… If you can’t negotiate a little on something like this I don’t want to deal at all…
