I am saying one star till the problem is fixed. I went in this afternoon for eyebrow waxing for myself and my daughter. Total came to $ 30.00. I handed my debit card to the receptionist, handed the girl a $ 6.00 tip. Filled out the debit receipt. When I got home I looked at my statement and they charged my debit card for the tip also! I tip cash so no taxes are involved, why would I give her cash and tip the same on my card, $ 12.00 tip for 2 eyebrow wax seems a lot too much! When I called about the issue I was only told that they would have the store owner call me tomorrow.

I used Starla’s salon for the first time in July 2014 before my wedding. The stylists and staff are very pleasant to be around. Madeleine O. did my hair. It was BEAUTIFUL. I received so many compliments on my wedding day. She is a magician with hair styles! Judy did my make-up. Her products were top notch, and she is a skilled esthetician. The only cons were the price for make-up, and sometimes it can be tricky to get scheduled for esthetician services. Overall, I will definitely be going back to Starla’s!

I have known the owner of this salon, Starla, for many years. She is truly knowledgable about what she does and very professional. I’ve tried other stylists but I always end up going back to her and she welcomes me with open arms. Her salon is full service and filled with professional stylists. You will not find a lot of salon drama here like I’ve seen too many times in the past at other salons. Only drawback is she books up fast and I am not one to plan too far ahead when it comes to my hair. Also the prices are higher than I would like but this is one of those areas in life that I have learned the hard way that you get what you pay for so I am willing to pay. There are certainly higher priced salons out there!

As I have said before in previous reviews: no services is bad service. This is pretty much the same story at this salon and spa. I tried to have a walk in just to get a manicure for a job interview. Even though there were two laminated signs on the windows stating that walk ins were welcome, I was declined at the door by a very snotty, rude girl who wanted me to make an appointment. Another red flag was that this place openly advertised that they administer botox. Shouldn’t botox be administered by a medical professional? A surgeon? This seems like a very shady establishment. Avoid like the plague.
