I have seen Padron peppers only a few times: at Firefly in Las Vegas, the Park Bistro at Lafayette Park Hotel, and today at Diablo Valley Farmer’s Market in Walnut Creek. Borba Farms had two hotties working today selling both sweet and hot peppers, and a variety of other produce. We went home with a bag of tomatoes, a couple jalapenos, some heirloom broccoli and a couple pounds of peppers($ 7/lb)($ 26.00 total). My giant bag of Padron peppers are the best! I blistered some for dinner tonight(setting off my hypersensitive smoke alarm at home) and enjoying every delicious bite(especially when I bit into a REALLY spicy one)! They are fresh and beautiful! I also BBQed two tomatoes and the two jalapenos, intending to make salsa, but I ended up eating it all while it was still hot. Broccoli is my favorite food so I’m super excited to cook up this bag of freshness for dinner tomorrow! I’ll totally be back to this Farmer’s Market to find these guys again.(I hear they’re also at the Montclair Farmer’s Market in Oakland). Get some!

I’ve been buying produce from Borba Farms at the Morgan Hill Farmer’s Market for over 7 years now and they are EXCELLENT! The owner, Ron, is a real treat too! I always look forward to seeing what goodies he’s brought to market and look forward to his warm greeting! 100% ORGANIC and you can taste it! YUMMO! I’ll take some pix next time and post them here!
