Little India Grill does not exist anymore! It was a hole in the wall spot run by a very sweet older lady from Fiji. Despite the run down look and hygiene issue raised by some, in my opinion the food used to be some of the best Indian food in America. On top of that it was very inexpensive. The lady was very nice and served her food with love. It used to be a required stop whenever I came to SoCal, but this time when I returned, it was renamed«Paratha Grill» and changed ownership. The new place is nothing special. Sure, its a bit shinier, cleaner, and brighter, but the food was disappointing. Did not taste fresh and the tiny portion sizes shouldnt even qualify as a snack. When I mentioned I was a regular at the old restaurant they replaced, and asked what happend to the original Little India Grill, they became very shady. The whole staff kept glaring at us and made us feel very uncomfortable.

Absolutely useless a**holes running the place. Cashier does not know how to enter the order in the system, can’t remember a simple order with just 2 guests in the restaurant. Owner is busy chatting and giving free food to his guests while hungry folks are getting wrong order. When I go back to correct the order the cook is joking that I should eat it even if it is wrong order. So I returned the food. Learn to respect others time and concentrate on making better food and better service. They do not even deserve a star but this app is also useless like them and forces me to give a star. DONOTWASTEYOURTIMEANDMONEY. Useless bunch of clowns.

This is the little gem of Artesia — loved the simplicity and yet flavorful taste of some dishes that I tried today. Will definitely come again for the good customer service and friendly ambience of this cozy restaurant.

Delicious food, Kulfi and deserts ! Prices are really good especially given the excellent quality. Glad we found it, we come back at least once a week even though we live over 10 miles away.

This used to be my go to place for everyday inexpensive and tasty Indian food. The«grandma» that used to work here was always so very kind and the food had always been delicious. I was out-of-state working for a bit, and when I came back, this place had been renovated… Much bigger seating area, etc. However, they appear to have changed cooks as the food was tasteless upon my last visit. And«grandma» appears to no longer be there. I hope she is well. I miss her and her food.

This place has really turned around. They’ve had several renovations in the past few years I’ve been coming here, and it’s really become a clean and inviting establishment. Menu had been redone and the food is really what keeps me coming back. These guys do naan thinner and crisper than most, which is amazing fresh. The curry could be a bit spicier, but they really make up for it for their perfect saag, dal, and tendoori chicken. And to everybody who hates on that chicken, I say get it fresh. Of course it drys out when its been sitting in a buffet plate for 30 mins +. Back to topic, this place is one of the best and most relaxed buffets in little India. No blaring music, tv or overly fancy architecture/presentation. This place does indian buffet right.

Owner is kind. Food has no taste. Tables are sticky. Price is reasonable. Mexican guy is cooking. Not very pleasant experience overall.

The worst Indian«fast food» out there. Don’t bother with this place when you have so many other choices in Little India. Stomach hurt for hours…(can’t imagine what the other reviewer meant about the naan. I got three pieces of flat, greasy, tasteless crap for my naan).

This is my go to Indian place when I hit up «Little India — Artesia, California». I have been coming here for I want to say since ’05? Recently they remodeled and changed cooks but same owner(whom is very kind and very attentive). It’s not big and their buffet is not some huge over haul of food as many buffets accustom. However, their food is cooked right in front of you and the naan is amazing and am not big on breads! Two of my favorite dishes there is the aloo ghobi and chicken vindaloo(if you’re into spicy dishes). But even their dal(lentils) and other curries are pretty good! The prices are very reasonable and the service is great! I always feel at home here!

I came here a while back looking for a reasonable, take out, cafeteria like, fast food place that was close. I figured that in Little India there should be at least one of these types of restaurants around that has my beloved chicken tikka masala and some delicious naan… Long story short, this is not the place you are looking for. The last time I came here the place was somewhat dumpy, very cramped but still had people in it. Tables were dirty and overall the restaurant was just kinda unkept. I remember the food being rather uneventful and just did not think about coming back. Well that old joint closed down, I thought for good. Then I passed by it not too long ago and saw that they had actually reopened. So being the adventure seeker I am, I decided to give it another go. By my rating you can probably guess the outcome. Took one for the team here guys, The prices are not outrageous at about $ 7 for a two item lunch and it comes with naan and rice. As expected, I went for my tikka masala and tandoori. Now I blame myself here as another Unilocaler had mentioned the method that they reheat the chicken but I thought that things maybe changed or I don’t know maybe it was just a different day. My bad. Indeed they took the chicken from the back and stuck it in the little oven to warm up which dried it out to the level of jerky. Masala was outright flavorless with nothing special about it at all. Assumed it was frozen or from a mix the depth and the richness that I was looking for was just not there. Rice was okay but the naan is FABULOUS! Chewy and crispy it is made fresh and is out of this world. Full star just to that awesomeness. Overall, not a recommend and will not be returning.

I really wanted to like the food from here. I was disappointed by the flavor profiles: paneer(spinach sauteed in spices, no cheese in this version) was super mild and lacking any pronounced flavor, Tandoori chicken was rewarmed in the tandoor oven, which I did not mind at all, but it caused the meat to be dried out. I was happy to see naan being freshly made, but it came out crackly, not the soft version served at other places. Tikka Masala Chicken was also not flavorful, just meh. The stars are for the older gentleman who served. He tried his best to be accommodating, but the food really needs improvement. Believe me, I’ve eaten at fancy & hole in the wall spots, and this also was neither here nor there. Not sure about the set up with the cooking area completely exposed either. It was just me in the place and the whole kitchen staff. That’s a very disconcerting ratio.

Price: 5 stars! Portion: 5 stars! Service: 5 stars! Food: Eh… not that great. For Indian food to go, I like cafeteria style ordering. I get to see what I’m ordering and the consistency of it. Because the nature of this restaurant is a buffet,(and because the owner is amazing) I got to sample anything I wanted before I made my order. Sadly, I wasn’t able to sample the Chicken Tiki Masala as that is made fresh to order, so I ordered it blindly. The chicken was dry and chewy as was the sample of tandoori chicken I had, the sauce wasn’t as flavorful as I’d like, and the veggies definitely weren’t fresh but hey you gotta get your veggies in somehow. The saving grace was their garlic naan. It was delicious. If you do decide to come here, definitely ask for samples. It is the best way to order! Happy Eating!

Small lil Indian food spot. Quaint. Not the nicest looking… The food was really good though! Naan Bread! Freshly made to order. It isnt sitting around getting rubbery. Tanddorri Chicken. Mixed veggies. Nice prices. Slam dunk… Food stayed nice and hot by the time I got home. The lady at the counter wrapped it up really good!

I was in Palm Desert and wife asked me to get some Naans, while visiting a office I felt the desert heat and checked the temperature it was 110 so decided to return to the Cerratios office and went to pickup up bread from Little India Grill. They are right on Pioneer Blvd, they are a fast food India restaurant. Lunch or Dinner Buffet is $ 6.99 and you can even have it packed to go. They have the Tandoori stuff, chicken tikka masala and fresh Naan and Roti. I gave a special order to go and everything was ready in 5 minutes. The food tasted excellent and they have the most cost effective catering, they provide food items on a per tray basis instead of the usual per person charge. A 32 piece chicken Tandoori tray costs $ 27.00. I came back from this restaurant impressed. There were plenty of parking spaces and its located in the heart of little India(Artesia) with shops packed with discounted Indian clothing and Jewelry.

I had a terrible craving for Indian food and my go to place had just closed for the afternoon. Spotted the Little India Grill sign and made a B line. They actually were’t too bad. They make the Nan fresh so its amazing and you can choose the buffet or order from the menu. My lunch with a drink(non alcohol) was like 7 bucks! Its unfair to compare them against the other resturants in the area becasue it would be like comparing Burger King to The Chart House. So if you want cheap, decent, fast Indian food, without anything fancy, this place will do the trick. p. s. Don’t take a date here if you want to impress her!

So lets be real, this place is a small mom n pop stop that makes decent food quickly and for cheaper than you’d expect to pay normally at an indian place for as much food as you get. I admit, I’ve never gotten anything from the buffet. BUT their fresh nan, veggie samosas, and chicken tikka are good. Especially the NAN, sooo good. The chicken tikka could have used some onions, and I’ve never had lime with my chicken tikka — usually it’s lemon. Not a big deal, still pretty good. I’ve also had the tandoori chicken in the past, pretty favorable abet a little dry. The people who work there are all pretty friendly. It takes a few minutes when ordering the fresh food so I often take a walk down the parking lot to Yummy Boba was I wait for my food. Again, what Panda Express is to Chinese Food, this place is to Indian Food. It’s tasty, but don’t expect anything super gourmet and amazing. Just good, just really really good.

What happened little grill? I used to love you so… Ate there twice last week and every bite was horrific and sickening. The mango lassi tasted like it was open in the back of a fridge for three weeks and absorbed every flavor of every food ever put in there, yuck. Same service as usual, but thats the charm of the place. Goodbye forever!

I had to try this place, I’ve passed this place for years. So I bit the bullet and went in and… I’ve had better. It was ok, the 4 or 5 flies buzzing around thought it was great lol. Me, not so much.
