Have lived in Cerritos since 1991. When there is a project that needs advice, o a part that needs changing around the house. it is Prescott. Honest correct and the best. Glad they are here.

It’s pretty rare to get excited over a hardware store but these guys knock it out of the park every time! Pricing is extremely fair and the quality is great! The customer service is excellent, the employees all have a servant approach to their customers that is truly genuine. Prescott’s is absolutely top notch in every possible way!

While my husband and I were sorting through pluming valves for our bathroom remodel at Home Depot and older gentleman told us about Prescott’s. Prescott’s carries some of the awkward sized pluming essentials that the older homes in Lakewood need. After we couldn’t find what we needed at Home Depot we decided to give Prescott’s a shot. When we walked in the worker asked what we needed and he walked us right to the valves we were looking for. Prefect fit! We were in and out in 4 minutes with the items we needed at a reasonable price! We have since gone in 3 more times and it has been the exact same each time. Great customer service and they make everything so easy!

If you want Nordstrom level customer care in a hardware store, this is the place to go! Knowledgeable clerks who are both helpful and happy to assist with most any task. I have used them for custom sheet metal work, as well as copper. This past week I took in a 110 yr old small lamp that I first thought only needed a switch. Turned out it needed cord, switch, new sockets etc. The helpful staff said, just buy the parts and we will take care of the labor for you! It was ready the next day, I just about fainted when the clerk called 15 hours later. I go here whenever I can vs. the big box stores, you can be in and out in a flash. Not to mention you don’t waste time having to return items that were incorrect or you didn’t need. Five stars isn’t enough. TR

I am so happy that Prescott’s has remained a mainstay in Artesia. They were here when I first moved to Cerritos, back when it still shared the same ZIp code as Artesia. My OLD house needs all these OLD replacement parts that the big box stores like Lowe’s or Home Depot NEVER seem to carry anymore. I am happy to have a knowledgeable, real Person –it was BILL today — who could help me. Needed to change a bathroom fan — the bracket mounted kind, nor the entire unit like is sold at the big store. In the past, I’ve gotten a wall mounted Medicine cabinet here too, that was not the«standard» size available at the bigger stores. They’ve also carried replacement poles for my garden tools and I have a promise from them to replace and attach it for my metal rake. You can’t get that kind of customer service anymore. They carry a huge variety of parts you might need to replace in your older home — closet sliders, chains, drains, screens, what-not. They are CLOSEDONSUNDAY.

I have to say. This place reminds me, in a sense of going to a car dealership. The obvious difference being that you don’t park inside the store, AND you don’t get hassled to buy something. Literally, as soon as I get in the door, and past the register, an employee comes up to me and asks if I need assistance. That is where the car dealership analogy comes in. For me, I’m absolutely huge on customer service. Secondly, someone like me has NO place in a hardware store. I have no clue what I’m doing, where to go or what to buy, specifically. I just have a vague idea of what I want. Basically, I could waste 45 minutes looking around in Loews or Home Depot, and I MIGHT be able to find what I need. I could call and ask for assistance at either one of those 2 stores, and it might be 20 minutes before someone shows up. At Prescott, it seems like I’m in and out of the store in roughly 5 to 10 minutes. Their prices MIGHT be a little higher, but if you’re like me and enjoy friendly service and don’t want to waste your time, come here. If they don’t have what you need, they’ll tell you where to go. This level of service definitely not something you see anymore. One of my coworkers told me about this place. I’ve been a happy camper ever since.

Been going to this place for years, but never had an opportunity to rave like I do now. Took some frames in for re-screening, picked them up, paid what seemed like a little too much money. Got a call from George about an hour later saying that he overcharged by $ 18! My husband went in for a refund of the money and was apologized to by everyone working. Amazing!!! So shocked that such honesty exists! Thank you, Prescott.

Like a piece out of small-town America, PRESCOTTHARDWARE is one of those consistently-bright gems of customer service. Big box warehouses like Lowe’s and Home Depot have their niche, where variety and selection(and perhaps prices) can’t be beat, but at PRESCOTTHARDWARE, you will encounter warm, knowledgeable associates each and every time you enter their doors. With their high standards and integrity, they assist you with competence, always exuding a palpable pride for the quality of their service. PRESCOTTHARDWARE carries a representative selection of goods that you’d probably find in most hardware stores. The store is well-organized, and I believe they do special-order products for you, should they be out of stock on those items(but don’t quote me on that…). And for all of your sheet metal needs, next door is the affiliated PRESCOTTSHEETMETALWORKS. I always feel good during and after my visit to PRESCOTTHARDWARE… you can’t beat their service and knowledge. :)

This place is awesome. Been around forever. Very friendly and very helpful. You can be in and out in no time unlike home depot. The price is good. One of only few hardware stores that still make custom sheet metal and vent pipes or other stuff you might need. Great place and I hope they will be around for a long time

You need nails for a DIY job? Buy by the pound. Need a glue gun or a dowel? they have that too. Odds and ends or sheet metal ducting, pvc pipes, joints, gardening tools — they have a lot of stuff that you might have trouble finding at home depot, and for decent prices. Rawhide hammer… hmm
