It’s a family owned business. It specializes South Indian goodies, especially goodies from Tamil Nadu. I found ponni rice and some very authentic Tamil brands, which I haven’t found in Irvine. The place looks run down; the vegetables weren’t fresh and they weren’t carrying whole Urad dal, hmmmph! South Indian grocery store can never never run out of whole Urad dal, they will have a constant supply for this Dal, as there is a constant demand for this Dal from South Indian community, especially when they have every other South Indian popular brand. Although, the owner seemed helpful, I don’t think I will go to this grocery store again. The place looked unkempt.
Oh! you can park behind the store, they have free parking.

I came in to get a few spices and Bhuvana was so helpful and friendly! She provided me with her expertise in regards to spices, lentils, and recipes! I can’t wait to use my new Indian ingredients! :)
