I left a small bag and it had some jewelry. When I call the lady said right away that then haven’t find any thing. Just be careful.

It was the first time my husband and I made our way to Artesia. We are staying in DC so we got really excited seeing the Indian stretch of shops… But we had the worst customer service we have ever received. We didn’t know where an item was located and we asked the cashier. We only enquired if they had the item(an Indian sweet) and where it was located in the store but she seemed absolutely annoyed and didn’t offer any help except showing how irritated she was. We immediately stepped out not wanting to do anything with a shop like this. And just as we came out, we noticed another staff arguing with a customer just outside the store. Loud enough to attract our attention. We are never entering this store again.

The prices seemed high, but they had everything I needed. The garam masala spices taste a bit different than I’m used to tasting. Perhaps it was the vendor. Either way, you can expect to find your Indian cooking needs here.

Few months back I happened to be in Artesia, CA. I needed a tongue cleaner so after having wonderful supper at Surti Farsan Mart, I went to Surti Cash & Carry which is right across from Surti Cash & Carry. Cashier had tongue cleaner right around him, I asked for one and also asked for its price, without thinking he quoted me $ 4.99 for each, I said forget it. I walked out and went to other Indian Grocers where I got exactly same item for .99 cents which was a fair value. My point, question the item and look for a price sticker on the item, this store must be charging unmarked items simply by looking at the customer. Stay away from such stores.

I decided to stop by yesterday while I was walking to catch the bus on South street. I also didn’t really know what a cash or carry was but I could tell it was some kind of grocery store. When I walked in i could see a lot of items that might be good for future trips. Mostly Indian products and groceries that you cant seem to get anywhere else. Its a very small store so there isn’t much to this place. There’s no hot food or anything. Its basically a convenient store that caters to the Indian community. I ended up buying some Indian hair products Vatika and Garlic oil for my hair. The guy working in the back was very helpful and polite, so was the cashier. I don’t see why anyone could write that this is the worst shopping experience ever lieing about poor quality and things smelling awful. The store was clean and had everything you could ever need if you were an Indian or lover of Indian products. I personally think this person might be a secret enemy trying their hardest to sabotage this business. From the looks of their writing you can tell theyre foreign born either British, African or maybe even Indian. You would think a person would have much better things to do than come on Unilocal and lie about their people just to hurt their business, but i guess not! Well im here to set the record straight. Its a good business that’s clean with decent prices and has friendly workers. at least to me it was. I ‘d come back if i needed to but i don’t live near by. Ill grant them 4 stars.

One of the worst Indian stores I have seen in California. Most of the products, which we have bought from here were smelling awful and were having poor quality. We bought almost for 100 $ unknowingly being new to this place in Artesia. It is complete waste of money. I am never ever going again here.

— Locale Destination — It’s on 186th St and Pioneer Blvd in Artesia. It’s in a little shopping center, middle of «Little India». It’s across street from«Standard Sweets and Snacks» and«Surati Farsan Mart». Indian grocery shop — inside is small yet packed with full of Indian stuff. Inside was a bit outdated and very plain décor. It’s a bit cramped yet things were well organized. I was wondering what was«Cash&Carry» I saw everywhere around here?! The definition is «sold for cash payment and no delivery service». I didn’t have a time to actually buy anything, so I assume«Cash only»??? I’ll check it out next time I go there. There’re a few parking spots in front of the shop, but you can also find street parking with meter and spots in the residential area. — Gluttony Expedition — Fresh produce — not a lot but there’s a small section for that. Tons of mangoes outside. Spices & seasonings: I’m not a newbie for Indian grocery market. You can find all kinds of spices for Indian cooking — with small to big packages($ 20 big container!), not by weight. Lots of flours. Lots of various bottled seasonings, too. Rice: All kinds of type and size. Beans: All kinds. Instant foods: Dry stuff on the shelves, lots in fridge and freezers. Curry, breads, samosa, you name it! Daily products: Yogurt, yogurt drinks(Persian yogurt with mint drink), Indian juices etc. Kitchen tools: Not a lot. Some basic pans to some particular«Indian» cooking tools. Scents: One shelf was filled with Indian scents. Beauty products: Hair products like shampoos, skin care type stuff etc. — Conqueror’s Deduction — I’m sure there’re tons of those Indian grocery stores in this area. I would come here when I needed Indian foods and spices. Fun place if you love to eat and/or cook Indian foods!
