I keep coming back for the PIE!!! Blackberry and Banana Cream are my favorite. All made by the owner. And great Chicken Parmesan sandwich when they offer it.

Stop here on our way back from the beach after reading reviews on Unilocal. At first was a little nervous, seemed like a place right out of the 1980’s. We decided to give it a go. Walked in and was a little confused, had a sign saying please wait to be seated and no one came to do so. Then the waitress told us to sit anywhere. After seating ourselves we waited for a bit, I asked hubby did he want to wait, he told me sure, there was one waitress and one person cooking, so be patient. Glad we waited. We both got burger baskets. The fries were hand cut and delicious, not soggy and limp as sometimes happens with homemade ones. The burger was hot, juicy and filled with fresh crisp veggies. Would definitely stop in again. Service was a bit slow so that’s why only 4 stars. Also they were playing old classic country music, which just made me nostalgic for a simpler time. All in all, great little café. Just go in knowing that it’s nothing fancy, just good food.

This is a mile south of the fork where Highway 8 becomes Highway 101. They are open early and a good stop for breakfast before a long trip. I had the mushroom burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. Friends all had something from the breakfast menu and everyone enjoyed their meal. Most items were a fair price but for $ 13 my burger didn’t come with fries or any accompaniment, that is my only grouse. Overall, a decent meal and very swift service. I shall return.

Grew up stopping here on the way to my aunts house and was madly in love with the shakes. We happened to be coming down this way today and we couldn’t resist the stop– even if we decided 9am was too early for shakes. So we got breakfast instead. My grandmas cinnamon roll was delicious(I had a bite or four) my fathers pancake was giant and my waffle was fluffy and yummy. I can now recommend the breakfast as well!

This is an amazing stop for breakfast for sure… But the rest of the menu looks pretty delish as well! We had the chicken fried steak and«hobo hash» which did not disappoint. And one of the best parts was the homemade strawberry jam with our buttery grilled toast! One woman was working alone, but you wouldn’t have known it since she was on top of greeting, seating serving, cooking, and ringing out customers — all with a warm, welcoming smile on her face! We will be back when we are in the area… Thanks Clark’s Restaurant!

Clarks doesn’t disappoint! We came here last week for breakfast and again today. Last week I had the hobo scramble and it was enough to feed everyone at the table. Ended up taking half of it home. The biscuits and gravy are the best I’ve ever had. Biscuits were soft and the gravy was creamy and filled with sausage. This week I’m having an omelette and I can’t wait to see how good it’s going to be. Clarke is off the beaten path but totally worth the drive!

Diner heaven. Bacon cheeseburger, handcut fries, biscuits and gravy, great when you need a salt binge after a long night.
