At The Beach Tanning Superstore

I like having the option to tan at different places around the state but it is terrible that every time I go into an At The Beach, they try and sell me something!!! I get marketing, but if I sat «no» I mean «no.» I have heard all the specials and why thus lotion is so great and why I need all the steps for the lotions and I still don’t want to buy them so quit asking every time I come in! You see me everyday, you know I’m educated and still don’t want to buy it. Especially after I ALREADY bought one of the products from your store. It’s annoying and it takes up minutes of my day listening up to the same thing trying to get me to buy it again.

I do hate all the up sell on the lotion and packages. Turn around with staff has been a nightmare and since I have been going here so long the place is a soap opera! And it has been closed in the middle of day the because nobody showed up for a shift. Which is inconvenient since I pay for At The Beach to be open!
Everyone is always very nice and for the most part knowledgeable about tanning. It’s always clean, sometimes the bathroom could use a little help. I feel secure here since the problems at the Colfax store.
I have had billing problems in the past. One time the number they gave me to call nobody ever returned my call. When I went in and told the manager, the one who told me to call the number, he called his contact people, took care of the problem, gave me a few free tans and some lotion for my trouble. He was great… but is no longer there.

I hate to update with a bad review, but I think this will be my last visit to the Arvada store.
I do the cocktail about once a week (bed then spray tan), and EVERY time I go in I’m held up by the constant upsells. Truly, it’s beyond annoying. I have tons of lotions (all purchased from ATB) and I don’t need to know about and/​or smell every «just got this in» lotion when I come to tan.
Two weeks ago there wasn’t enough tanning solution in the Versa so I pretty much only got «sprayed» on the front side.
Today around 1:30 I came in and the door was locked. There was a hand-​written note (yellow highlighter on white paper, so SUPER easy to read) saying something about a family emergency, an evening shift employee and 10 minutes.
I understand there are emergencies. I don’t really fault the employee for having to leave, but the whole reason I liked this location was because it was close to work, consistent and enjoyable. With never ending upsells, poorly-​functioning equipment and not knowing whether or not anyone is even there, this place is now just close to work.

I love this location! Amanda is super nice.

I came on here to warn others about this place, but it looks like plenty of others have done it for me. Indeed, I fell for the contract scam as well, found out that this tanning place and the collection company is the same business, and just a total disaster… had to pay $ 430 to buy out of the contract, which I only used for one trial (and terribly blotchy) spray tan. Sadly, I usually always read reviews before going to places, but this place was around the corner from my house so I just stopped in and didn’t realize what I got myself into :(
Given that they’ve done this to so many other people, let’s find a better way to get justice and stop them from doing this to more people!

The company is a money sucking company! They ringed me into a contract which I canceled 24 hours later! They said I had one month to use… few days later said I couldn’t continue tanning! They charged me twice… two months and for product! They will continue to suck your money! GET OUT!

This entire company is a joke. The in-​store employees are clueless and the customer care center won’t call you back for DAYS after a discrepancy. I cancelled my account after being through the ringer with this company, and they still have the gall to charge my bank account. I’m sure I’ll get another line of BS that sounds something like «Sorry, it’s our computer system again». Just FYI folks, the minute you sign a contract your name and bank account number is given to a COLLECTION COMPANY. Just walk away from this place, it isn’t worth the headache.

This place wants your SSN and fingerprint for a tan! Tanning is gay anyway
