I really enjoy Beyond the Blackboard for my teaching needs. However, I will say I am a bit bummed at how pricy it is. Just the other day I was getting things for my classroom like name tags, and other little nick-nacks you need throughout the year each year and my total was so much. That will be my only negative thing I say. Positive things are how well organized the store is. It isn’t a great big store but they utilize the space well enough to have a large variety of items. There are not just teaching tools there, but toys and games for those who aren’t teachers as well. I have heard many people come here for present ideas. Also the owner and managers do a great job with creating deals and fun things for teachers. For instance, last year on Tuesdays if you came in after 6pm til closing they had free adult drinks for teachers and a gift bag of some really cool goodies for the classroom. They do Full-Moon sales and even do $ 200-$ 300 gift baskets that they give away. They are always doing something great for teachers if you can find out their new deal do. They also have an e-mail newsletter coupon deals that shouldn’t be ignored either if you are a fan of stores like this. Also the service is really friendly. When I am shopping and if I have something big and cumbersome, the workers offer to take it and hold it at the front for me, or even get me a new basket or take things to hold upfront so I don’t have to try and carry really heavy things around. They do laminating as well! I really enjoy this place!

I am NOT a teacher but I love coming here for toys, puzzles, games, and fun things! The employees are nice and very helpful, I have spent hours just looking at all the different things they have! I will keep coming back!

Nice folks. Neat stuff! Crazy expensive prices. If you’ve looked everywhere else and you can’t find what you need Beyond The Blackboard might have it. If you are a mom, aunt or grandparent with some disposable income and a yearning to give beloved little ones great educational games — this will be your nirvana. Maybe we need to consider the fact that the reverse is true as well. Honestly, I gave a beautiful metal puzzle from here to my 85 years old grandfather for Christmas and he loved it. As a middle school teacher, I need 135 items or resources compared to an elementary school teacher’s 30 – 35 items or resources. That’s a huge difference at Beyond The Blackboard prices. As a result, I’ll stick to that warehouse east of 104th and Federal. Except when buying stocking stuffers. This place is chock full of amazing stocking stuffers.

What a wonderful store full of teaching resources! My girlfriend is a Middle School teacher and in transition to teaching 3rd grade. This store is «chalk» full of books, posters, stickers, name tags, bathroom passes, learning toys, charts, pretty much a teachers dream.
