Veggie sandwich was not good. Soggy bread and it is really a portobello burger versus a good equal mix of veggies. Service ok though. May be back to try something else but for the moment I’m underwhelmed.

Excellent breakfast. Probably my favorite place. But the service is incredibly slow. Very nice servers. Don’t be in a hurry when you visit!

My Wife and I moved to olde town Arvada recently and asked around for good breakfast/lunch restaurant. Number one on the list was Breadwinners Café. We walked in and felt right at home. There was a short wait, which usually means good food so we didn’t mind. We were greeted by friendly staff and were offered a table on the patio. The weather was beautiful and the Bloody Mary’s were even better! My wife had the crab cake benedict and left none for me. Fortunately I had the most amazing chile rellenos smothered in spicy pork green chile. Apparently the owners have had a catering company for years and it shows. Quality fresh ingredients at a fair price, we’ll be back!

We’ve always had nothing but great service and food. The bad experiences some others are posting are the exact opposite of every experience we’ve had, which is too bad. Everyone we bring loves it; we even had my birthday party catered here and everyone raved about the food. Give this place a try and see for yourself.

Very good breakfast place. I had the eggs and chile rellenos and my friend had the breakfast burrito smothered in spicy gravy. Both were amazingly good. The atmosphere and service was very good also. Will be back on our next visit to Denver.

We have lived in Olde Town for 9 years and have wanted to try Breadwinners after recommendations from area neighbors. We came for breakfast and enjoyed courteous and fast service. However, like most restaurants in Arvada the food is disappointingly fair. Since they are also a catering company I had hoped for more. Our server sheepishly told us they do not even make any of their bread. We tried pancakes, French toast, and two different scrambles with both the spicy and vegetarian green chili. Each item tasted like it came straight off a Sodexo truck. The chili was congealed and tasted terrible. Expect the same par food as the Egg Shell. Very friendly staff though, so if you just need food to fill your belly they will treat you well.

Disclaimer– I was starving when I arrived and found this via Unilocal.Upon arrival, the waitress greeted us warmly and was so genuine. She showed us the restaurant and explained the different rooms– not a big deal but it kind of get like you were walking into a friend’s new house, not a random restaurant. The fantastic service continued throughout the meal. The building is cool and a little funky. The coffee was great and served fast(and I received a fresh cup in a to-go cup after we were done). The best part– the huevos rancheros!!! Oh my!!! The pork green chile was spicy with tender meat and super flavorful. The portion was perfect, eggs just right, fresh tomatoes sour cream and spinach. I cleaned my plate-rare for me. I’m from NM and am so picky about green(or red!) chile– and this was utterly divine. Thank you for an awesome meal! If in the area again I will be back.

Awesome food, great prices, quick and attentive staff! Great place for bigger groups or a table outside for 2. We have never been disappointed with the menu! We love all the steamer drink options(Snickers flavor). We have been eating here for years, never a bad experience! Kid friendly too!!!

The corned beef hash is excellent. Hot coffee and good service. The biscuits and gravy need help. The biscuit was gummy so I think maybe it was undercooked. The gravy was ok but had very little sausage in it. I’ll be back for more.

The service was excellent here. I tried a bit of their pork green chile and sausage gravy, they have 3 different types pork, vegan and spicy. Now their pork has great flavor with for me, a tad bit too much of chili seasoning for me, the heat was spot on. Now the sausage gravy was quite good despite the use of garlic in the recipe. I ordered the corned beef hash, now while the corned beef was excellent, the choice to use cubed hash brown potatoes was ineffective at a proper corned beef hash, in my opinion. I’ll definitely go back, just won’t be ordering the corned beef hash again. Now my wife was extremely happy because they have gluten free english muffins, so she chose a traditional eggs Benedict on the gluten free muffin. The hollandaise sauce is made from scratch and quite excellent.

Excellent service and WONDERFUL food. Happened to stop in after a meeting, not knowing anything about the place. Great menu. The meatloaf special spoke to my inner country boy. Chipotle ketchup topping and white cheddar mashed potatoes on the side. Very reasonable price for a huge plate of great food plus a refreshing salad. Highly recommended!

Bread Winners has become our favorite local place for breakfast when we come to visit family nearby. The owners and servers are friendly and proactive in anticipating what you might need. When the weather is warmer(than snowy December!), we really enjoy the outdoor patio seating. The coffee is good and the menu offers a nice variety of breakfast options and creative versions of Eggs Benedict. I tried the Fajitas Benedict with a gluten-free English muffin and would definitely order it again. Our server, Monica,(who was great!) said she’d also recommend the crab cake option. If you like corned beef hash, the others in my group highly recommend it. In addition to Bread Winners, Old Town Arvada offers some nice shops if you’re looking for unique gifts. A good, local stop we’ve enjoyed every time we’ve visited.

Toast comes out with margarine or something other than butter slathered on. According from the waiter it comes in a tub. With all we’ve learned about healthy/unhealthy fats in recent years this is unforgivable. Last time we were there my friend ordered a café mocha. It was coffee with powdered hot cocoa mix stirred in. I’m 100% serious about this. They don’t have real half and half for coffee. Just the processed stuff in those little peel top cups that doesn’t require refrigeration. They used to bring heavy cream on request but we were told it wasn’t available last time we were there. When I go out to eat I want real food and I’m happy to pay for it. Places that service processed food are a dime a dozen. These little shortcuts add up quickly to a negative experience. On the positive side the waitstaff is all super friendly, attentive and accommodating. I do like the chili relleno breakfast and corned beef hash and my wife is a fan of the biscuits and gravy. In general the food is decent but I have to admit I’m concerned about the quality of ingredients. I have to assume things cooked on the griddle like eggs and such are cooked in the same oil that comes on the toast though. The best part about this place is the huge covered patio. When it’s nice out it’s always easy to get a seat out there without much wait. It’s dog friendly too which is cool. There’s not much to look at but it’s still a decent place to have breakfast and it’s better than inside. Unfortunately I’ve reached the point that the patio no longer enough to make me overlook the food. If this place fixed the quality issues it could be a 3 or maybe 4 star place.

We have gone here several times and enjoy the food, however; nothing irks me more than going to a restaurant and being told there is a ½ wait to be sat when you can see open tables. If this methodology is to help your slammed kitchen, for crying out loud hire some folks and do some prep work so they don’t flounder. Please set these people instead of making them wait. Give them some coffee, or how about a mimosa or Bloody Mary? We would much rather sit comfortably at a table with a nice beverage than standing on the side walk. Figure it out!!!

Breadwinners I would have to say is the best place for breakfast and lunch! I have only been there twice but the watrisses remembered me, and made me feel like ive known her for 2 years… All the employees seem more like a family than coworkers. The chefs that are there have so much passion and pride in what they do, and it shows on each plate they send out. I had the biscuits and gravy, with over easy eggs cooked perfectly and the country potatoes are absolutely to die for. Some how the cooks knew I liked my bacon extra crispy. Besides the food the small intimate dining room and outside patio is just so cute. Perfect for catching up with a friend or sitting down and getting work done. I will always suggest this to anyone

Bread Winners Catering catered my wedding last month, and they did a fantastic job. I was sooooo happy with the food and the customer service. The staff was very professional and friendly, and everything went really smoothly. Cynda was the coordinator, and she was awesome. She thought of EVERYTHING. Like, tons of food/venue-related details I hadn’t even thought about. She covered all the bases, and coordinated everything really well with the other vendors. We chose to have a dinner buffet, which turned out to be a great, affordable choice. All of the staff were helpful and professional. They have a huge menu to look at for ideas, but they are willing to work with you to create exactly the dish you want for your wedding(or other catered event). And the food, whooohooo, it was delicious! We went with beef lasagna, and chicken picatta with a lemon-caper-white wine sauce. Holy cow. If you are looking for a wedding caterer, I would highly recommend Bread Winners!
