For the price the $ 5 deals can’t be beat. Deep dish pizza is very difficult to find in Denver so I am a fan of the Detroit style deep dish pizza. Not gourmet by far but probably worth more than the $ 5 paid. This restaurant nearly always has complimentary cookies which are really good and wish I could purchase them.

Breadsticks and cheap pizza. Always $ 5 pizza that is hot and ready and surprisingly fresh due to the volume. Way better than the taco bell/pizza hut arrangement for pizza and breadsticks when your are on the go.

2012 Review #180: Somehow, I went my whole life not really realizing that there is such a thing as «crappy» pizza. I mean, come on, when you’re a kid, delivery pizza is a major thing. It’s a prize, a reward, a major special event. Then you get to college and it’s how you survive. Then you get to regular adulthood and suddenly delivery pizza is «crappy». Although I fully understand, cognitively, the differences between«good» pizza, and«bad» pizza, when I eat it, I don’t necessarily care. A roommate in college would get a $ 5 Little Caesar’s «Hot-n-Ready» pizza with $ 2 breadsticks about once a week. I didn’t realize that somewhere along the line, Little Caesar’s no longer delivers. When we spotted this new location in Arvada, we figured we could spend the $ 5 to get a cheap meal. When you come in you basically are restricted to cheese, pepperoni, sausage, all meat, or the«Colorado» which is pepperoni and green chile. They come in Large size, and range from $ 5 – 7. They make them in about 3 minutes, and you’re on your way. I also ordered some wings, which are pre-cooked, which is a shame. Not sure what I was expecting with that one. For apparently«crappy» pizza, I think it’s not that bad. Better than Domino’s, I think, and much cheaper. I like the cornmeal they use and there was nothing to complain about. The wings were skimpy, but the sauce was nice. Even if it makes me a lower class citizen, if we need delivery-style pizza, I’ll probably come here, even though it’s not delivery.
