Went on a Saturday night with my mom and sister – our girls night – and had a wonderful time. It was busy, but the owner took such great care of us, made perfect recommendations and sent a complimentary plate when she found out it was our first visit! Everyone there we saw appeared to be regulars, it was such an amazing atmosphere, everyone laughing and really enjoying their experience – even tables of people talking to each other – a very social and relaxing place. The sushi was amazing, they had a bluefin special that was melt-in-your mouth fresh. The food was delicious, the service warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere fun and relaxing(the fish tanks are so zen!). We will absolutely be back!!! Thank you Yuri for a great night!

I can’t afford sushi too often, but when I choose to indulge I really enjoy going to Namiko’s. Their sushi dinner is a good selection, always fresh, but the main big ticket item is the Kind of Fire Shrimp. I can go there and just get 5– 7 orders of that and wallah, dinner!

The food is okay, I go after the gym sometimes for a healthy meal. The service is random from visit to visit. Sometime they are on point and other times the are slow and don’t pay attention.

Best damn sushi anywhere… period! Chefs at sushi bar are amazing. Especially Andy. Everything they make is fantastic! Over and above every time. Anytime I am up north I eat here. If you’re looking for sushi this is the place you have to go to. Enjoy!

First time here. Had the spicy tuna and Libra. May have been some of best sushi I have had. I left full but wanting more.

Love it! It get’s quite busy here on the weekend, but it’s worth the wait. Always fresh and always tasty. Their spicy tuna is a must… so tender and delicious!

Let me preface this review by saying that we have been to Namiko’s a number of times, and we are ALWAYS impressed with the quality of the food. The sushi is amazing and we always rave about how good the food is. If I was rating Namiko’s on just the food, I would give it 5 stars for sure. I do find the service a little hit-or-miss though. Sometimes it is fine, some times not so much. They use a «community» service style, where you really don’t see the same person other than at the beginning of the meal and then at the end, but rather have a steady stream of new faces visiting the table. I’m not sure I enjoy this process, it makes me feel a little hectic, and lost. This also creates a challenge timing the delivery of food. More often than not, our meal arrives just a minute or two after our appetizer, making us feel rushed. They also choose to use Sunday nights as their training night. Yes, it is quiet and easy on the new staff, but it leaves something to be desired from the customer stand point.
I am especially disappointed that there seems to be a presentation problem with their staff. Presentation in a restaurant is important from both the food and staff perspective. It isn’t a great sign of business pride or care from management when the teenage staff is serving customers with their pants half way down their butt, and the manager is dressed in faded jeans and a tee-shirt. The appearance of the staff certainly reflects on the quality of the service. I would say that if you are looking for a great sushi meal Namiko’s is your spot. However, I would opt for the carry-out option instead of eating there. The service you get at home is probably better.

Listen. It’s Arvada. I live here. That means I like to eat here, No need to leave the neighborhood I love for a top notch sushi experience, because fresh and tasty sashimi, it’s right here in a strip mall in Arvada. Whoop whoop! Check hours: only open for lunch and then again for dinner.

The staff is wonderful, reasonably priced. The sushi was very well done Sitting next to the fish tank was nice. Some of the rolls the pieces were pretty big. The cocktail menu I think was a little over priced or would of tried one. Waitress was nuce and split up the check. Would go back

Sit at the sushi bar; the staff are entertaining and the food is amazing! The atmosphere will make you forget you’re in Colorado and believe you are next to the ocean. This is, by far, my new favorite sushi restaurant in Arvada! I will absolutely be a new regular!

We came here on the recommendation of a Japanese woman I met at the dog park. She said it was her favorite sushi spot and now I can see why. We ordered miso, seaweed salad, and 3 specialty rolls. The Cancer roll was my favorite except for a mayo that was on it. It’s not listed on the menu and next time I come in I’ll order this one without the mayo. The Sagittarius roll ended up being our favorite served as typically prepared. And the Tataki was very good. If you like ahi this is a great one for you. The tuna is so lightly seared. I just happen to only like ahi in small doses but tasty for sure. The fish was all very fresh and tasty. And the people who helped us were all so attentive and nice. The place had a nice mellow vibe and the fish tanks reminded us of our dive trips. Absolutely a plus. Thanks for a great meal. I’m glad I got the recommendation. We will definitely be returning.

I’ve been going to Namiko’s for fifteen-years, and I believe it is one of Denver’s top three sushi joints. I cannot believe I have not written a review previously, but this little joint in a non-descript strip mall in Arvada has some true gems on its menu. I strongly recommend you try out some of the specialty rolls, especially the Hot Lips, and the Final Fantasy, which features Namiko’s delicious sweet glaze. I do not eat shellfish, but I know a lot of folks who rave about the Line of Fire Shrimp. Check this place out, it will ROCKYOURWORLD, maybe.

3.5 stars. This place is really fun to look at with the 5ish fish tanks around the restaurant and décor. The fish and tanks look very healthy and clean. While they were busy, we stood around for a couple of minutes before any of the waiters wandering around decided to say hi and seat us. Once sat, we had enough time to choose all of our sushi before a server came over to ask what we wanted to drink. The water was cold and the beer came cold with 2 cold glasses. As we waited for our food, I did like that while it was busy in there, it was not loud and absolutely easy to talk with a normal voice level. The specialty sushi we ordered was not packed well and crumbled when picked up — however, the flavor was great. The normal sushi rolls were packed well and we had no issues with crumbling with those. Overall, it was good, but definitely there’s room for improvement.

I have to admit that I am always a little wary of sushi restaurants in strip malls but I think Namiko’s has cured me of my skepticism. My bf took me here for a much needed sushi date night last night and it was excellent. I am not very adventurous when it comes to sushi so we ordered the avocado roll, a shrimp tempura roll, the Gemini roll, and the Less Than Zero roll. The avocado and shrimp tempura rolls were very good but I think it’s hard to screw those up. The avocado tasted like it was slightly salted, which I haven’t experienced at other sushi restaurants, but I actually liked the flavor. There was actual shrimp inside the batter in the shrimp tempura roll and that’s a success in my book. The Gemini roll was a mixture of tuna, crab, and two other ingredients that I can’t remember tempura fried. It was excellent, probably my favorite roll of the night. The Less Than Zero roll was basically a tempura fried Philadelphia roll. Not my favorite but it wasn’t bad. Overall, I liked the flavors and presentation of the sushi rolls. The service was great, although we sat at the sushi bar so we didn’t seem to have a dedicated server. That was totally fine as we were checked on often and didn’t have to wait long for drinks or the check. The huge aquariums were fun to look at and the rest of the ocean-themed décor is interesting. Not really my style but good for a sushi restaurant. We will definitely be back to Namiko’s!

Met a friend here for dinner after hearing recommendations from co-workers. At first I wasn’t sure about the location, but the sushi was really good. The atmosphere is very nice with a focus on ocean blues and a fish tank in the middle of the restaurant. Service was friendly, food was quick, and prices were reasonable. Definitely get the Scorpio roll!

I cannot wait to take my husband here! My friend recommended it for a girls dinner, and we had a great time. The cocktails are delicious(I had two lemondrops with ginger — delightful!). The service is friendly — it’s a neighborhood place that is well run. We had a few rolls, mostly with cooked food. The lobster roll was my favorite. We also had tempura, and it’s hard to do tempura well. Namiko’s nails it! It’s light and airy, and I could not stop eating! I am excited to return!
