Jessica gave me a wonderful haircut. I have super straight, flat hair and she gave me a haircut that was much better than I usually get. I did encounter some trouble when scheduling another appointment, including some much undeserved rudeness from a different staff member, but Monica, the owner, quickly contacted me to make it right. Kudos to Monica for taking good care of her customers!

I have never been happier with the amazing skills Jessica has! I get cut, full color (to cover 75% grey) and highlights. I feel 10 years younger when I am done! :) You will not be sorry if you go to Turning Heads. The shop is gorgeous and you can even enjoy a glass of wine or beer. Love it!

Always pleased when I walk out of this place. Jennafer Canjar has been doing my hair for several years now and she is the BEST! The cuts are always what’s best for my hair and we have fun playing with color.

I adore Turning Heads I’ve been visiting for about 5 years now. Jill is my stylist and she’s wonderful and talented beyond words but everyone in the salon is friendly. I so look forward to my appointments here not just because I leave looking fabulous but because it is truly a mini vacation. They bring me a fresh made latte, my favorite magazines and use high end products that make it a spa like experience. Highly recommend Turning Heads!

I’m not quite sure if they just didnt want my business or they couldn’t get their act together. I first attempted to make an appointment with them the last week in March. They called the night before, to reschedule with me because of «a conflicting schedule» (Ok I thought thats what I thought we talked about in the first place in order to make an appointment) They called and reached my boyfriend, he was on the phone able and willing to re-​schedule. The girl on the phone told him to hold on, he was waiting for almost 28 mins before the girl picks up the phone and surprised to hear he was still waiting basically didn’t know what to do. Tried pawning him on another person to wait. My boyfriend, of course irriated made it crystal clear to cancel any appointment and that they’ve wasted our time. I (for some reason) tried to give them another chance. I went in person to re-​schedule, talked to the same blond girl. Of course she just didn’t know what happend last time so lets make it right and try this again blah blah blah. I make it PERFECTLY clear a new appointment with someone, unfortunately I need to cancel. I call them to let them know I will come in and see them in person to make a new appointment. Wow, what a surprise, they don’t have me scheduled for the right day … Again I dont know if they just didnt want my business or they need to hire a new receptionist.. obviously this isn’t the job for her. I wouldn’t suggest wasting your time with them –dispite the fact I saw some very nice products available, if they have this many problems just scheduling you for an appointment, what kind of mistakes will the stylist make? Too many other nice salons directly in the area. . will not be dealing with them again.

I’ve been getting my haircut at Turning Heads since they were at their old location off Ward Road (2002!) and Jill Lindgren is amazing! I even got my hair cut here when I lived in Texas for school.
I have very thick, curly hair and had some pretty terrible haircuts as a kid. Since I found Jill, I’ve never gone anywhere else. She is a certified colorist and we’ve done blonde, brown, and red, highlights and all over color and I always love it. I felt like experimenting with my hair was forbidden because of it’s texture and Jill has helped me grow into someone who is confident with her hair and not afraid of trying different things. I can trust her completely to give me a style that works for my hair and face AND she never says no to anything I want to try — she’s all about making any style work for me.
She is incredibly talented, a very good listener, and works hard to build a relationship with her clients so it easy to communicate about who you are and what style you want.
She always schedules enough time to get everything done (lots o’ hair = lots o’ time) and I suspect she should charge me more because of all the hair I’ve got, and she doesn’t. Love.

I’m absolutely terrified of getting my haircut and the only time I will even think of doing so is when my damaged, frizzy hair becomes even more unbearable than the thought of someone trimming my golden locks.
I’ve had HORRIBLE experiences with people cutting my hair but I can say that I’m actually looking forward to my next haircut at THS.
The space is an old house that was converted into a studio. The studio is clean and has wonderful, modern décor.
The people that work here are SUPER friendly. Eric, who I assume is the owner, is probably one of the nicest people I have met in any establishment. His positive energy is infectious and he really has a passion for the business and the customers. I was blown away (ha ha.).
Okay, I’ll stop teasing (last pun, I swear) and get to the actual haircut. Cayla was the one that cut my hair and she did a wonderfully amazing job. She asked me questions about my hair and looked at it from every possible angle to see that everything was evenly cut, paying very close attention to detail.
The haircut was $ 40 and worth every penny. Cayla shampooed and conditioned my hair, cut it, and then styled it with the curling iron, which I loved.
The staff seems to get along really well and it seems like they enjoy working together for the success of the business.
I recommend this place to ANYONE and everyone who needs a haircut. When I was there I saw a middle-​aged man, an older woman, and two young women so the clientele is diverse.

Went to Omar for the first time today, totally love my hair would recommend to everyone, he is awesome.

Turning Heads Salon is a charming bungalow style home in Old Town quaintly morphed into a stylish salon, but that isn’t why I go there. The entire staff, including the hands on owners, are very helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed and groovy. I have had my hair done at ridiculously espensive salons when I lived in Manhattan, and by Horst himself when I lived in Minneaplois, and I can’t say enough about Turning Heads stylist Omar. When I first moved to Denver and asked around his name came up several times, so I gave him a try. He has done amazing things with my somewhat difficult hair, and is very intuitive when I try to explain what look I am going for. He has been super helpful in getting my hair healthier and longer (my goal) where others have failed, and he is as sweet as they come. Thank you Omar!
