This is a wonderful restaurant for breakfast. The food is great. I had the breakfast wrap and it was tasty and filling. My wife had a omelet and the daughter had pancakes. The both loved it.

Definitely stop here for breakfast/brunch! French toast stuffed with crème brûlée was very good. So was the poached eggs. Hash browns were very crispy. The location is a bit meh but it’s only a few minute drive from the beach where you will probably only find pizza and fried everything. Only complaint: the bacon on one of the 2 muffins looks like a pile of leftover crumbled up fat while the other one was good regular bacon. Tip: there’s a shaded patio in the back — much nicer than the other sitting areas in my opinion.

Loved this place… just a few blocks from the beach. Warm, friendly, great food. The cornedbeef hash was delish… hash browns were crispy and omlettes were to perfection. Lots to choose from… will definately be back.

It’s a nice little out of the way place. Food was really fresh when it came out to us. Wait staff was excellent. We will be coming back to this little gem.

I don’t know why my husband and I stopped going to Chat and Nibble but what hidden gem it is in Asbury Park. The décor is cool, the space is cozy, the staff are incredibly friendly and excellent at what they do and the food is great. My only complaint would be now that I am dieting the portion sizes are huge so have to take half to go, which I have not done because the food is just so delicious. Although we had not been there in months, the staff remembered how my husband modified his burger and remembered I was the omelet guy. The service was amazing, they were friendly without being overbearing and everything we ordered was just perfect. I really only have positive things to say about this hidden gem. l

Food here is pretty good. Well priced for lunch. Wait staff is friendly. I don’t agree with prior poster about safety. They must be pretty stuck up. Great lunch spot. Very cozy and homey.

Food is average at best. Safety of location is questionable. Staff was nice enough but that’s not enough for me to return.

What I love most about Chat & Nibble is how unassuming it is. It just looks like another ordinary breakfast/lunch spot. You would never pass it and think it puts out the food it does. One day I decided to go in for lunch with my co-workers. We were seriously blown away! Everything is fresh, homemade and absolutely wonderful. It’s the perfect place to feel at home, chat and eat delicious food. Absolutely love this place!

A friend recommended this place and I’m glad he did! It’s small and intimate, nicely decorated inside. The food and service were great and the prices were very reasonable. It’s only a few blocks from Ocean Ave.

Thank you to the reviews in Unilocal,we decided to come here. The place is on a corner, street parking. The waitress was okay — just an advice SMILE!!! It would of made our time there better but she wasn’t bad. She took our order and brought our food in a timely matter. The food was good! Nothing special but deff hit the spot. The toast was PERFECT:) i know toast who cares– well i do :). I got the Boardwalk something Special, it included a meat(I got turkey bacon) egg, stack of french toast and coffee/orange juice or tea. The french toast was perfect, it wasn’t too big but it wasn’t small either. I will deff be coming here again! It’s on the way to the beach and it got packed as we were leaving.

I was in town for a bachelor party. After a long night partying we came in for breakfast and man did it hit the spot. We had a large group of people but the waitress easily accommodated us. I ordered the«heights» omelette which has broccoli, cheddar cheese, and bacon. This is a fantastic combo. The home fries were a highlight as well. And the rye toast seemed to be from high quality bread. Everything tasted fresh and the prices are very reasonable for the portion size. New Jersey has a lot of great qualities(seriously), but one of its best attributes is getting a great breakfast at a diner. This takes the Jersey diner experience to the next level.

This place is cute got seating right away that was pretty good. Food was decent portion. Bread doesn’t come buttered like some small breakfast eatery. Our waitress did not want to serve us at all that was the down side of my 1st experience there. No smile! Not much conversation! Not much checking in on the table. No personable skills! Thank Goodness for great company and a good laugh at the waiters expense: D lol.

Delicious! Very quaint, neighborhood place with friendly service and patrons! I had the Arriba! Omelet. I loved the bits of chorizo! My only complaint was the toast was a little cold, but no big deal!

On a trip to Skate and Surf punk rock weekend in Asbury Park, NJ, My two adult children and my son’s girlfriend and I needed a place for breakfast on Sunday around 11a.m. The computer kiosk at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel recommended this place and it was a few blocks away, so away we went. From the outside it’s small looking, inside 4 booths line the walls, 2 rows of 5 tables, seats at the counter, and patio seating out back, the place was packed but we snagged a booth. Two young woman, sisters maybe, are the front wait staff and did an excellent job! Our order was taken quickly, she returned with our drink order quickly, our food arrived quickly, it was hot, freshly prepared and frakking delicious!!! I always only get pancakes, bacon and coffee. Best pancakes ever, probably made from scratch, my daughter had eggs Florentine, poached eggs cooked perfectly, lots of salmon/locks? and fresh Hollandaise sauce. My son said his omelet was perfect, can’t remember the nickname, there were 15 to choose from, and the last item was, again, delicious, perfectly prepared French Toast, bacon, hash browns. So very excellent food, service, cost of the food, coffee, waitress always stopping by to refill my cup… Make this your breakfast destination when you visit Asbury Park, NJ

Loved this little Mom and Pop place. The food is good fare with the accompaniment of the feeling you are going to a friend’s place was a great surprise. The Fancy Bagel is a great choice.
