The food is fantastic and the staff are wonderful. I had the Irish rice balls and chicken sandwich, while my husband had the chicken fingers and pulled pork sandwich. The rice balls are amazing — I absolutely fell in love with them. All the food is fresh and fantastic. Definitely recommending it to everyone

Love this place. Really cool room. Cozy. Great bar. Amazing menu. Food is fantastic. Drinks are flowing. Happy hour is best in town and goes a lot longer than an hour!!! And don’t get me started on the staff! Michelle and Geoff behind the bar could be the dynamic Duo of Asbury Park. Go!

The burgers are actually VERY, VERY good, and I’m a burger snob.
I used to live a few blocks away from this place — they serve hot GREAT food late. I’ve only ever sat at the bar (for both food and drink) and have always had a very pleasant experience.
I deducted a star because I think they need to hire more employees. I was hesitant to even write this because every server I’ve had has been beyond attentive. But they are so overworked! I see them running around like crazy.

We came back the next day because it was so good. The grilled cheeses are delightful.

Group of six. We had the crab nachos, tile fish, and the pulled pork Mac n cheese. All were excellent. Service was a little slow but worth the wait!!! Yummy!!!

We had a great time and great food. I had the shrimp scampi grilled cheese and it was excellent. I will be returning to try more menu items because it was difficult to choose. Nick, our waiter, was wonderful and Jeff, the bartender, was a great help.

The Brussels Sprouts were fantastic. All the vegetables were super fresh! Staff is super attentive and on point! Definitely one if not the best meal in Asbury Park!

We have eaten at Kim Marie’s on many occasions and have always enjoyed the food and service. We come to AP at least once a week.
Yesterday was quite a disappointment. There were 4 adults and 3 children in our party. It was dinner time on a Saturday but it was not too busy and we were able to find a table immediately outside and many were available. The server never asked the kids for drink orders. I ordered potato skins with no bacon (I am a vegetarian) — the order was delivered twice with bacon on it. The third time it came with bacon on part of it– it was clear the bacon had been scraped off. I returned the order and did not eat dinner. We ordered a Bloody Mary with olives (no olives came) and then a cider. Instead 2 Bloody Mary’s arrived. We also ordered a nachos. It came with meat chili (my daughter — also a vegetarian) thought it would be beans. They took the nacho order back and I asked if she could change her order to pasta instead which would not have meat. The waitress said it was too busy and to keep the order in. When the replacement order arrived it was a small order of chips with cheese — no salsa, beans, etc. but there was still some chili underneath. They clearly just wiped off the chili. My daughter ate the chips until she found the chili.
We easily waited 45 minutes for the food to come and even after 2 efforts for the nachos and 3 times for the potato skins the order still wasn’t correct. For vegetarians wiping meat off an order is unacceptable. I cannot imagine how someone would feel with religious or allergy food restrictions.
The waitress did not apologize for the mistakes. She did tell us she would remove the potato skins from the bill since we did not eat that but still charged us $ 9 for chips.
Kim Marie’s was one of our favorite spots and we have come at least 15 times. We don’t think we will risk coming back. We are so disappointed because we brought our friends here, too. We had a wonderful day showing our friends the beach and Boardwalk. Wish we could say we had a great meal as well.

Good place to grab a drink. There aren’t too many places to eat on the north end of the boardwalk so this place is perfect. Solid bar and food was ok.

Food was very disappointing (half the dishes were room temp or cold), service was fair, a good place to grab a drink if you don’t mind waiting a little.

Me and my boyfriend went here a couple weeks ago and went to the bar and ordered some apps and it was good. We went again this week and sat at a table. Our waitress (who was also the hostess) was not friendly at all. Every time we said «thank you» she just ignored us and walked away. My cream of broccoli soup tasted ok but came out barely warm. My boyfriends potato cheddar soup was also warm and not good. As soon as my pasta with arugula and shrimp came out I looked at it and knew it was going to taste like nothing. Pasta was overcooked and the sauce tasted like water.
Sooo overall good for bar food nothing else.

Horrible… I don’t eat red meat and I ordered a turkey burger it came wrapped in bacon with a stale bun and the veggies inside the burger were undercooked… The fries were over cooked and greasy. Just a complete waste of money

It hit the SPOT! My sister and I ordered the Guinness soup and arugula salad to start. The soup was a bowl — very cheesy and rich! The salad was so simple yet so delicious, the lemon vinaigrette really made it. For lunch we order the chicken salad BLT and hanger steak wrap… TO DIE FOR! The chicken BLT was on this crispy buttery thick bread and the hanger steak was cooked medium on a spinach wrap with a delicious aioli spread; both served with fries. Keep in mind the portions are big and enough to share.
The service was very friendly and informative. It was so hard to decide! The waiter did recommend the shrimp scampi grilled cheese, but we went for the chicken salad. Next time we will try the shrimp scampi grilled cheese. It seems like that is the most popular thing there; specialty grilled cheese sandwiches. They did show us a breakfast menu too. (The pancakes looked good, but we stuck to lunch) We sat outside in the sun; it was such a great lunch really helped the hangover :). We went at noon time and just beat the crowd. We defiantly will be back and bring more friends!

The décor would suggest this place has been around forever, but Kim Marie’s is a fairly new establishment within Asbury’s ever-​changing restaurant scene owned by the same owners as Johnny Mac’s. I’m happy to see that it has become more lively and crowded than when it first opened. Food is very good — typical Irish pub fare with some not-​so-​typical dishes thrown in like «Irish Eggrolls» and an extensive gourmet grilled cheese menu. Their buffalo chicken wrap is excellent — they use shredded chicken rather than strips. We’ve also had their slammin crab and artichoke dip. We tend to sit at the bar, but there are plenty of tables available inside and outside. Pretty good beer selection and friendly service.

I really like this place. Went there for lunch today w a couple of friends & our dogs. It’s wintertime, but was a nice day & I called ahead to see if they could accommodate us outside w the dogs. It was no problem. Our waitress was very personable & didn’t forget we were out there. I had the rueben which was disappointing but the fresh cut fries were great. They use very thick bread w their sandwiches which I personally do not like. They do have a couple of decent craft beers on tap. I’m perfectly happy here; it’s not gourmet, but it’s good.

This place was across the street from the Berkeley Oceanfront hotel, where we were spending the night for a wedding. We were hungry from the road, so mostly we were just happy to get a meal within walking distance (the hotel restaurant was not open on Saturday afternoon). Kim Marie’s surpassed all expectations!
Décor was edgy with a touch of kitsch, and in the summer I can imagine having a couple of drinks at this place and thinking you’re in the Keys. It had that carefree kind of vibe.
Service was local, friendly, and even a little folksy. The food was damn good: Cajun-​blackened shrimp and grits appetizer was outstanding, and my hot pastrami on rye sandwich would stand up to some overpriced deli sandwiches in New York.
To boot, there were great beers on tap – it’s always a good sign when I don’t immediately know which beer to order.

The atmosphere is interesting. A nice rustic building. But the service is poor, and the food mediocre at best. Ordered a Santa Fe chicken salad wrap which was supposed to come with black beans and Pico De Gallo. The black beans were missing. I ordered a mozzarella tomato sale and it came with chuncks of Mozzarella and a handful of cherry tomatoes. Instead of a flavorful balsamic dressing it came with a bland Italian dressing. It also had a bunch of black olives so maybe this was a Greek take on an Italian classic. But it did not measure up.
We also ordered chicken wings with the drinks and they forgot to put that order in. These things were pointed out and there was no adjustment to the bill.
I would not come back here a second time.

I come here with my husband sometimes after work (both of us get off around 11 – 11:30) and we love that they serve food late. As if that wasn’t good enough, the food is actually pretty great!
I’ve gotten a few things from here… shrimp and grits, wings, salads, wraps, pasta. I try to never get the same thing twice. Though, I am a lover of wings and I will definitely find myself ordering wings again soon!

Kim Marie’s is conveniently located right across the street from Berkeley’s Oceanfront Hotel. So if you’re staying there and don’t want to go far, this place probably your best bet. It happened to be pouring the day we went, so we just ran across and it was right there!
To start, we had the lucky charms brussel sprouts — fried and tossed in lemon and grated cheese, served with a chipotle mayo sauce. These were really good and actually pretty filling. The chipotle mayo sauce tastes like crack. It was so good that I asked for a side of it to go with my burger and fries.
They have a lot of menu items that have an Irish flair to them. They’ll use Guinness as one of the ingredients, or have some kind of variation of a shepherd’s pie.
For drinks, I tried this grapefruit IPA that the waitress recommended. It did not taste like grapefruit or IPA. It tasted more like cold medicine. So you can avoid that one.
So to sum up — Kim Marie’s isn’t anything spectacular. But it’s a great option if you don’t feel like venturing far and you want to grab a bite and a few drinks.

Great place a block in from the boardwalk. Fun décor and happy hour from 11 – 7 m-​f. We came on a Monday around 4 so the place was fairly empty. We sat at the bar and I ordered $ 4 sangria and M ordered bud light for $ 2. Put a lime in it and it’s almost like Corona!
We were excited to try the crab nachos because of the positive reviews on here. We were so disappointed when they came out stale and chewy. They were literally so bad we took one bite and had to send them back. Inedible is the right word. I was surprised when the bartender was so understanding and took them right back to the kitchen. He came back out and said the cook tried them too and agreed something was wrong with the chips. The bartender explained that the cook thinks he undercooked the chips and that’s why they were chewy and weird. He asked if we wanted to try another order and we agreed. The crab nachos were brought out by the cook along with more apologies and they were fantastic! Perfect, actually.
We were really impressed with how great the bartender and cook were when we had a complaint. They fixed the situation and didn’t make us feel bad about it. We had a great time here and will definitely be back!
