Their pesto is the besto! Everything here is delicious. My favorite restaurant. Great service and great food.

Good drinks, nice view… But don’t eat there. What bland 80s wedding food. The menu has no point of view, like a U.N. Cafeteria — Mexican, seafood, Mediterranean hummus plates, pasta, steak… More seasonal specials… Plus nightly specials. How bout get a few things right before you roll out that 60 item diner menu. This is the kinda place your parents might like, but you’ll realize you’ve had a better more relevant flavorful version of a few times before. They bragged about the pasta which was bland, and tough. The lamb was nice but on a bed of entirely dry unseasoned rice and paired with hospital steamed vegetables. … Polite service but waters went unfilled, empty bread basket and plates and butter wrappers on the table for an hour. And it took, a full hour, after we’d finished our apps, to get it. I guess they never fired it, or there was a problem, but it wasn’t handled, just a catastrophe. Also, no reservations is inhospitable.

The atmosphere is very pretty and romantic, however I was not impressed with the food or the service. The food was mediocre at best and the staff was pretty slow. Nice place for drinks and romance but not for food or dinner. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

Amazing food and cozy, intimate atmosphere. I had the seasonal seafood stew. It was perfect… Flavorful without being too fishy. The place is pricy but nice for a night out or special dinner.

Nice place, albeit it pricey. Food is good, atmosphere great. Wonderful happy hour! In the summer you can sit outside & overlook Wesley Lake & Ocean Grove. Beautiful! No good craft beers. Parking in the area is always a problem in the summer.

We have dined at Moonstruck a few times now at all different times of the year and it is one of the best around. The food here can seem simple or traditional in some of the descriptions, but it is always perfectly cooked and creative. They use very fresh ingredients and do a great job of pairing the right ingredients together. I always go for either one of their seasonal or nightly fish specials because they are really well done or a meat dish. We have not really tried the pastas. The service is excellent and helps justify the higher prices. They are servers who have been in the game for awhile and know when to be there and when to fade to the background. Moonstruck also makes some killer cocktails. They make an excellent dirty martini with blue cheese olives. I like that they martinis are all $ 10 no matter which variation. I wish Moonstruck would not be so stringent in the off season with their rules. It is annoying to sit in the bar area and wait for your whole party when all of the tables are empty.

I been here years ago use to be very good, but on my last visit it was not good at all. Started with the watermelon cheese salad which was awful! Cheap quality cheese, then I had a seafood special which was not fresh, then I had an apple crumb dessert with vanilla ice cream that was ok. Would Not return.

I’ve been wanting to check this place out for some time now and hearing about their great Italian dishes. The venue itself is adorable, remains me of an old inn. My boyfriend and I arrived on a Friday night for a late dinner. It was cold inside, so we choose to wait 15 minutes for outdoor seating. The wait went quickly as we ordered a glass of wine at the first floor bar. We were able to close our tab and bring our drinks to dinner. Once seated, the first impression of the menu was that it had the standard american-italian cuisine. Nothing really out of the ordinary, though the food was delicious. I had the fettuccine grilled chicken which was great. Just the right amount of pesto in the dish. They serve large dishes, so best to go either really hungry or prepare to take a doggy bag going in. Our server was great, super friendly and attentive. He knew the way to my boyfriend’s heart by bringing out a mango infused homemade cheesecake. Before I knew it, half of the slice was gone. I would go back here because the food was really good, just don’t expect anything crazy on the menu.

Dined on the beautiful porch, similar to a wrap around porch of a big home. Drinks and appetizers only for porch. Lamb quesadilla is good and the fried oysters. The filet mignon tips were tender as well. Prices are pretty high for the appetizers, $ 13 – 15 for each. Adds up to a full course dinner if your not careful. Attracts a 50+ crowd, at least on a Sunday evening. Would have given 4 stars if the service matched the prices.

5, count them, 5 stars! No need to discuss it, 5 stars all the way. Ok, we’ll discuss it… My super awesome husband brought me here for a date night. We had passed by a few summers ago and had always wanted to check it out. We came on a Tuesday night, around 6, and were told about an hour wait for outside but immediate seating inside. We both wanted outside on such a gorgeous night so we waited at the bar. Note, reservations are only for large groups of 10 or more. Service at the bar was great, we ordered 2 drinks and an app, however we just missed happy hour(4 – 6). It felt like only a few moments and the buzzer went off because the table was ready. Our host came to the bar with a tray and carried our drinks upstairs, he also told us our app would be delivered to our table. We sat on the 3rd floor outdoor deck/porch. Gorgeous views, a nice breeze, and no music. The excellent service continued upstairs. Our server, Mike, really knew the menu and was very knowledgeable on all dishes and specials. Mike also understood without us saying so that we were going to take our time and enjoy. We were never rushed but Mike always seemed to be there at just the right moment to refresh a drink, answer a question, or just check in. We had the shrimp quesadilla for an app for $ 13. Totally awesome. The amazing husband had the pork shoulder with butter beans over pasta special for around $ 26. He said it was excellent. I had the shrimp and scallops over risotto for around $ 30 and it was incredible! So, so, good. I didn’t want the dish to end! We split the black and white crème brûlée for dessert. Perfect finishing touch to an amazing meal. We loved everything about this place and highly recommend it. It’s a little pricier, but so worth it for a special night out or a date night. I can’t wait to return for another date!(Hint, hint, husband…)

I was debating 3 or 4 starts for moonstruck and though in hindsight i really enjoyed it, there was something rather plain about the food but the service pushed me to 4 stars(with an asterik) We arrived at about 9pm and were quickly escorted up to the 2nd floor where Bruce introduced himself and got us a few cocktails. We were a party of 4 and shared the greek salad & burrata appetizers to start. Bruce made a point of highlighting the Jersey tomatoes in the burrata dish and they were great. Fresh and firm, greek salad was also fresh and crisp, i would have liked a sharper, more acidic, dressing but it was pretty tasty nonetheless. For dinner, the 4 of us shared our plates. We ordered a schmorg of salmon, another fish which escapes me, a pizza, and a pasta. All were good, none extremely memorable but they made for a good backdrop of our conversation. In the end, most of the plates were clean which i think is a good sign. I’d def go back and i suspect if the service matched what bruce provided, the rating would stay about the same.
