Great food and outstanding friendly service! The large seafood platters for sharing are a must— so much there you’ll never finish it all. Staff and owners make it a very enjoyable dining experience!

This restaurant is near my best friend’s house. I’ve visited it a few times. She has had parties for her children there, and we have also been there for dinner. The restaurant is nice, and the service has always been wonderful. My best friend is a regular here so the waiters and owner take very good care of her. The food that is served at parties is also the same quality of food ordered off of the regular dining menu. The seafood is simply delicious, and the other items on the menu taste authentic. I’m sure that I will be visiting this establishment again in the future.

We love this place. The ambiance is excellent. The food is amazing. The service is top-notch. Great sangria! But what really keeps us coming back is the feeling that were eating with family. You’re always made to feel part of the family here. Highly recommended.

Lovely dining experience! Food was DELICIOUS. We ate kabobs, seafood pot in green sauce & shrimp enchiladas. Ok, I did receive the wrong enchilada. They have two on the menu and maybe I wasn’t clear. The one I got was excellent! The kabobs were amazing! They arrive at the table on hanging skewers which really makes the dining a little more fun. Kudos for that! They had a stuffed portobello appetizer which included two enormous mushroom caps topped with a delicious pure seafood(no fillers) and cheese. 3 of us shared this and it was a hearty appetizer. We took food home… No room for any of the enticing desserts. The service was also excellent. We had no less than four people coming by the table to check on us. But it was very casual and not intrusive. We loved it! There is SO little quality dining out in this area that we are happy to have this option. I’m glad they survive the economic decline. The place was fairly busy last night so I think they’re doing OK. May be the best news for us is that they also have a children’s menu now with for staple offerings for the little ones like chicken fingers and pasta. We’ve avoided this spot because our youngest is such a picky eater, and he had other plans last night. Now we know we can go as a family! It’s typically on the expensive side for this type of cuisine. I wouldn’t say overpriced. Keep up the great cooking and lovely service.

Went here for dinner tonight. The service was outstanding and our bill was reasonable. The paella and flan were equally delicious. I highly recommend this place. I’ll be back for sure.

I think this place offers great meals. Though the drinks are a little over priced, the food has an amazing taste of Spain! I will definitely be going back :)

A great little hidden gem on a back country road. I often forget about this restaurant when deciding where to eat dinner because of this! The kabobs are excellent, as is the sangria and the homemade chips! Always a great dining experience here. The service is wonderful, very doting without being overwhelming. It can get a little pricey for a casual dinner but it is well worth it!

Same as my review for the Spain Inn in Piscataway NJ( ) this place is just flat out awesome. Offering Spanish«good eats» and amazing sangria, the dining experience is warm, joyful and full of great food. Bring your fat pants! P. S. — I’d recommend this one over the Piscataway location for ambiance … I’d take the Piscataway one over this one for the food quality(both are excellent however).

Valentine’s Day! Made a reservation for 8pm three weeks ago. When I showed up I had to wait 45 minutes for my table, along with about 10 other couples who also had reservations. It really appears that they don’t actually take down the reservation info. I was looked at like I had 2 heads, they had no idea of anyone’s name. Worse than that, a couple came in and knew the owner. He greeted them in front of the other waiting couples and told him he would haven a table for him in 5 minutes! A few of us spoke up and said we would leave if that happened. The owner ignored us completely. The lady in the couple that knew the owner was embarrassed and agreed not to take a table before the waiting people. Thank you for having manners, who ever you were. The food and service were good, but not worth waiting 45 minutes when you have a reservation. I can’t say I would never go back, but I sure lost a lot of respect for that place and the owner. Why take reservations if you really don’t care enough to honor them. Not even a, «sorry about the wait». Cram it! Next time I will go the Warren Side!

Went from our former 5 star review to a two and that is being generous. Less food for more money. They no longer offer coupons. I emailed them a month ago to ask if they offer coupons anymore, they used to come in the mail and no one took the time to respond? They do not offer the 16 ounce lobster tail anymore but oddly it is still on the menu and online? The twin tails offered as a suggestion were supposed to be two 8 ounce, they appeared to be smaller and did not taste as good as the 16 oz. and were more money. No leftovers because the portions were small. A small pitcher of sangria is now $ 16.95, we used to pay less, $ 9.95, $ 10.95. This used to be our favorite place to go for a special occasion but no longer. Sad to see a once good restaurant go from good to average and more expensive. Service was very good, but the food is not as good as it used to be… I DECIDEDTOREDUCEMYRATINGFROM2STARSTOONE, after we just found out we were ripped off on the price of the small pitcher of red sangria. We called the Piscataway location and asked what the price of the small pitcher is and we were told $ 11.95, WEWERECHARGED $ 16.95? Piscataway told us the large pitcher is $ 19.95. This is not the first time we were over charged for the sangria. If you do not ask before you order it, this will happen to you. WHY Spain Inn? Shame on you

I was in a group of six. We all enjoyed are apps and entrees. There was a app special of avocados stuffed with shrimp scallops, very good. The calamari app was just ok. The portobello app was just ok well. Three of us had the Paella entrée and it was good according to my fellow guests. Two of us had the Chilean sea bass, the fish was cooked great, but the flavor in the overall dish was just ok. Our other guest had the stuffed Mahi Mahi and he said it was good. Yes, this place is very loud. We could barely hear our server or each other. Kind of Sucked not being able to have a normal volume conversation. Our server, a male wasn’t very attentive to our table. Took him a long while to take our drink order, then even longer to take our food order. The bread was very good, thank God because we needed it at that point. After getting our meals he never came back to ask if everything was ok, nor did he ever ask if we needed more drinks, so we settled for water. Service isn’t always everything about a restaurant for me. But when you are spending close to $ 100 per couple you expect good service. After we were done eating, our table was cleared, then eventually a new table cloth a put on our table, not sure why. Then the water/bread girl asked us is we wanted desert. I guess our waiter couldn’t be bothered. Then we waited forever to get the check. Once we were ready to pay the guy shows up in record time. Not sure I would go back with the overall experience. Too many places to go where you can get better service and food. I think we pulled the bad waiter at this place, the others seemed more attentive to their tables. Good luck if you go here.

A great Spanish restaurant in a spot where good restaurants are hard to come by. I was there on a Saturday night, they were pretty busy and with no reservation we had to wait about 10 – 15 mins for a table. We sat at a bar and had a drink or so then moved to the dining room. The bar and interior of the place needs some updating in my opinion but it is very old world, so I understand it. The service is old fashioned European as well… head server, beverage server, etc. the verde paella was great, a huge portion for the price! I recommend the cold artichoke app, it was perfectly seasoned and a great way to start the meal. There was a wine special for a Chilean red for $ 8, it was robust and paired fine with the meals. A nice place to bring parents, celebrate an occasion, or just when you are looking for a great meal for a good price! Enjoy!

First let me say I lived in Newark and worked there for 25 years and know my Portuguese /Spain foods, this place is top notch especially for this area, this is fine dinning at its best here, the service is 5 stars easily, only wish they had the cross cut beef short ribs :(

Awesome. Been there three times in the last three years and it has always been great. Coming back to NJ from Colorado makes me crave fresh seafood and Spain does it right. The food and service has been perfect each time. Yes it can be loud and the décor may be a little to «Jersey» for some but it is definitely a great dinner every time. You won’t be disappointed.

There Chicken in Garlic sauce on the bone is to die for — love it, also have had their Steak on the stone — was fabulous — everything we have had there was very good, the staff is friendly and accommodating — always a good experience — several months ago friends suggested this place and we’ve been going ever since and are planning to go next month for a birthday event… Love their bar area — low lighting — flat screen TV and blue martini glasses(nice touch) — very nice bar to hang with a group or just your honey… give it a try — you won’t be disappointed…

The kabobs were great. When making a reservation ask for a table by the fireplace or by the windows.

We had a rare night out without our daughter and figured we’d go to a more«adult» establishment. Just moved to the area and hadn’t been there yet. It was pretty busy, and we had no res so we ended up having to hang at the bar for almost exactly the 10 minutes we were told, which is cool. Everyone was very friendly and the service was solid throughout the meal, I wish I could say that every time I go out to eat, lol. We got seated and there were a couple groups having lively dinners, with lots of «woohoos» and that sort of thing. It was REALLY loud in there and we really had to raise our voices to hear each other. Not a horrible thing, but if that’s not what you like in a dining experience yo8u may want to reconsider. High ceilings and nothing separating the tables in the main dining room will do that. The food was not bad, but definitely seemed a little«phoned in». Nothing was a real wow, I had the Camarones Enchilados which was fairly spicy(which I like), but other than heat and salt, it didn’t really stand out. My wife had the filet which was a nice size and well prepared to a medium rare just like she asked, but again, the flavor profile was a bit dull as were the accompaniments. Where it all really fell apart was the flan, which we both ordered. You would think a Spanish restaurant would totally rock the flan, but mine was overcooked and VERY firm. My wife’s was even more so to the point where I was surprised they even served it. We didn’t hate it, but we probably won’t be back either.
