I visited Bonefish Grill for Father’s Day… big mistake. First of all our waiter didn’t come in and check on us until 10 minutes since we sat down. We ordered our drinks and all I got was water. This isn’t an alcoholic beverage it’s just a water, that shouldn’t take that long… WRONG! My water didn’t come until my entrée. Overall, service was terrible. The Josephine Mussels were some what descent, but way better than the service and atmosphere. The sauce was excellent but most of the shells were empty. Way to save those $ 5 Bonefish Grill ;). I paid about $ 25 for a 13 oz ribeye steak. This was a pretty good deal. Ribeye is usually very tender but this was tough as a nail. The grill marks on the steak were unusually perfect in a nice design, this made the dish very appealing but unfortunately not any tastier. I wouldn’t recommend Bonefish Grill to anyone. Next Father’s Day I’ll visit another seafood place. It’s really sad that Bonefish Grill ruined a very special day for my father.

Yummy! Bang Bang Shrimp has my heart!!! This outranks Fords Fish Shack and Pikes Fish House by a long run. Management is very kind– came out to introduce himself and gave us a coupon for some more Bang Bang Shrimp. That stuff is like crack. Yummmmy!!!

I enjoy coming here. Every time I come in I usually leave satisfied. If you’ve never been, make sure to try the bang bang shrimp. You get a very fair amount, easily enough for two people. If you’re just here for drinks, get it anyway, you’ll thank me. I’m not sure if they still do, but on Wednesday there was a slick happy hour here for the shrimp as well. I got the salmon, chose the have it with the Pan Asian sauce. Not bad, had a teriyaki/soy sauce taste. Was hoping for something with a little more kick but hey, I didn’t complain. Others at my table were ranting about the truffle mac and cheese. It’s an extra $ 4.50 but they claimed it was worth it. So, maybe? We had a reservation for 16 people, they sat us down about 30 min after our set time. 16 is a large number so I don’t think it bothered anyone. If it had been a reservation for 4 and we had to wait 30 min, would be a different story. Also, place tends to get crowded, smaller, tight fit tables. Ask for a booth if you can. Place stays pretty well maintained and the staff is helpful and friendly.

Very disappointing. You hear the commercials, they sound great… alas it was not. I ordered what was starred on the menu as their specialty– fish and chips. I might as well have ordered a piece of cardboard. There was literally no flavor to the fish at all. I could not have identified it as cod or pollock or anything. It was nothing buy bland cardboard. Fries were very limp. We could not get a drink refill.

I absolutely love this place! The service is outstanding. Every employee is very knowledgeable of any item on the menu. I always ask what they recommend on the specials menu and I’ve never had a server that said they didn’t try it before. Everyone is so helpful, and the food is amazing! Very fresh fish, every time. Even the happy hour drinks are incredible! The mixed drinks are in a smaller sized glass, but they’re very strong. And there are tons of options. I also would suggest that you try the Bang Bang Shrimp! You’ll notice almost every table orders some, and it’s because they’re amazing!

This place has been staring at my fiancé and myself for the past few months since we live right across the street. Normally for our seafood fix we go down the street to Ford’s, but we decided to give this place a try, cause you know, why not mix it up a bit. We did a take out order, which i actually had to call and ask if they did since they don’t state it anywhere that they do, and it was pretty quick. About a 20 minute wait, even on a busy day. They give you complementary bread even in a to go order, which is pretty tasty. Across the board we’ve tried quite a few things. Their bang bang shrimp is good, taste a little too much like mustard to me(even though someone has pointed out there’s no mustard in it) but I can see how people can really like it. Not super spicy and sauced nicely. The crab cakes are good, a tad small, but they have a nice old bay taste to them. And truthfully, their fish and chips are the best. The fish is nice and flaky, the batter is delicious, and the pieces are a good size. I love their french fries as well. Yummy and delicious board walk style fries. Bonefish is definitely a place we’ll be coming back to.

Good as usual, however I’d like to point out the lobster bisque needs serious help. It tastes exactly like it came out of a can, it’s way too thick and doesn’t taste very good. On a more positive note, I tried something totally different and was very pleasantly surprised! I got some kind of bowl thing(sorry I have a terrible memory) with ahi tuna and rice and it was extremely yummy, I ate til I was full and polished off the leftovers the next day! Also, their martinis are fantastic and I don’t normally like them at all! Frozen grapes were a very suave touch!

5 of us just returned from a poor evening at Bonefish. We sat at the long tables in the bar and it took forever to get drinks. two hours to get food and bill. Just bad. It was not our servers fault they should have had a manager on the floor and if there was one we didn’t see him or her… which is the problem with this place… too many restaurants in the area to choice from choice a different one!

Food is good. Service in bar area definitely has gone downhill. Non existent servers… waiting almost an hour for food. No offer for a second drink. No offer for more bread. We’re clearly out of everything at our table. Plan to ask for check when food comes as table next to us has been trying to pay for last 20 minutes. Last visit here :-(

We had a great experience at this Bonefish Grill location. Made reservations for 10 for a bachelorette party dinner. Luckily, they were able to accommodate us during the busy Homecoming weekend. The hostess were friendly and kind. Service was attentive, patient, and also very friendly. They made the bride to be feel special. We were all seated in one big table, which was nice. The manager came out at one point to ensure we all enjoyed our meal. He also gave each of us a coupon for a free bang bang shrimp appetizer on our next visit. That was so sweet of him. Complimentary bread arrived to the table, it was delicious and came with this yummy pesto dipping sauce. Our server happily brought us some more bread when we ran out. Our drink cups were always full. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I highly recommend their bang bang shrimp. So good!

Loved my food again!!! I came in late just before close and my server Matt was amazing! My top shelf margarita tasted great and can’t wait to eat my Pumpkin Crème Brúllee(I know, sp) I was so happy that I was welcomed even though I was arriving close to closing. Thank you Matt!!!

My husband and I went here for our anniversary because we have a local athletic booster card thingy that gets us perks at several local businesses. At Bonefish we got a free order of bang bang shrimp. My husband was happy, but for the price you pay here I can’t see any reason not to just go to Sweetwater instead. I found the mussels really inelegant, and the broth a touch too salty. My husband liked his«shrimp and» scallops(and was fine to pay $ 2 extra to upgrade to «scallops only» since he’s allergic to shrimp) but man– paying another $ 6.50 extra to substitute a really unimpressive macaroni and cheese as a side was a bit much. The bang bang shrimp was pretty good. If we were to come here again, I’d eat it again. Of course, it’s free with our promotional card dealie, so why wouldn’t I?

I am very impressed with bonefish grill! I had the opportunity to meet the owner today and he was extremely humble and kind. The food was amazing as always and the atmosphere is very romantic! Best place to have your birthday dinner! I will definitely be back! Our waitress was also very kind, responsive, attendant, and quick. Thanks!

Had a great time although be careful with the cocktails it will double your bill! Lol I am watching my calories and they were very accommodating with the calorie count for all of their dishes. I ended up having sea scallops and shrimp with the pan Asian sauce, sugar snap peas, and french green beans. I know everyone at my table loved their food they ordered. We left happy for my sisters birthday dinner celebration. Our service was great! My shrimp were cooked perfectly, my scallops could have used a better sear but besides that I was satisfied. I added a cocktail and tried the Summer Kiwi Smash and it was pretty good at first you taste the tequila and the after taste leaves you with the kiwi flavor. I am happy however if I wasn’t watching my calories I probably would want to try a lot of other dishes.

Nice service at the bar, decent food… I prefer the Greenbriar location food better. The ceviche was different… the bang bang shrimp was over sauced, the fries were lukewarm and not crisp. It’s close to home, but I think I will stick to the one in Fairfax.

Should be a 4 or 5 star but the service is what really brought this one down. My family and I have eaten here many times before, and it’s one of the few seafood places I like. We came in on a Sunday on reservation and were taken to sit closer to the bar. The first three tables they tried to show us were all dirty… kind of gross but we got seated at the last bar in the row. We were the only ones sitting in that section, other than a few people at the bar. Our waiter came up and got our drink orders and we asked for bread. It took a a decent amount of time for him to get the two cocktails we had ordered even though we seemed to be his only table but we let it slide. The rest of the time the waiter seemed more interested in talking to the bartender then to us. Anytime we tried to call him over he was always, coincidently just out of ear reach, and often when he would come to the table like when we asked for more bread he had turned around without even hearing our request. It took him a while to bring out both glasses of my wine and when our food came out, they served each of us the wrong thing. I want to come back here but I want the service to be 5x as good as my last time there.

I went to this BF location on Wednesday to enjoy the Bang Wednesday! Oh boy, did we enjoy it or what! We were greeted by an awesome server. He was really attentive and super friendly. He immediately got us fresh bread. We ordered 4 Bangs and couple beers. I will not talk too much about the food since EVERYBODY knows about how good the food here is. We were simply content by the time we left this place. Loved it! We’ll be visiting this place soon again.

I really like this place. The food is consistently good and a good value. Given the limited choices in Ashburn this is my «go to» place. It’s a bit small, and not as nice a Clyde’s down the street, but the good is much, MUCH better.

Had dinner here with my family on a Saturday night. We shared the Calamari appetizer, served with a really tasty, lightly spicy dipping sauce. The Calamari and vegetables were dipped in a light batter coating and were very yummy! I had the Parmesan crusted rainbow trout with steamed asparagus. There was nothing wrong with the dish — it just didn’t wow me. My brother ordered the Mahi Mahi and remarked about what a small piece of fish they gave him. Looking it over I have to agree. Overall, service was very good.

Not sure if it was an off day, but the service here was terrible. The way it’s set-up, the hostess stand is squeezed on the left into the entrance to the main dining area. There were 5 people milling around there, so trying to get noticed to be seated for a table took longer than it should. Also, the Starbucks phenomena of the inability to spell people’s names occurred when giving a name for the group, even when you’re spelling it out for them; no biggie. When our table was finally ready, I gave the buzzer to the same person who took our group number and name in the beginning. 5 minutes later, he forgets and asks me if I need a table and how many were in my party. It took awhile for the service to get organized on seating us. There’s just too many staff members at the hostess stand and that area gets squishy fast. Our server was very present throughout, but was very pushy about having us order a variety of items so she could get a free comped dinner at the end of shift. She was also very pushy about clearing dishes while they were still being eaten. This pushiness made it very uncomfortable. Food here is okay. The stand out of the meal was probably the appetizer we ordered, which was the Bang Bang Shrimp. The fried shrimp was tossed in a mayo-based sauce with a touch a heat. I ordered the steak and crab cake entrée. I have to say, as a person who is used to eating Faidley’s crab cakes over in Baltimore, just avoid the crab cakes here because you will be disappointed. The crab cake here does have large chunks, but the flavors and the size are just a bit underwhelming. The steaks here were cooked to order which was great. The entrée sides were tomato salad and sautéed corn and edamame. The corn and edamame seemed like it was a play on succotash, but it was over spiced and just not well made.
